April 20, 2025, Makro Alberton I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received today. When I attempted to return the Hot Belt Power, I was assisted by a staff member who claimed to be a manager, Dianna/Dinah, who refused to show her name tag. After waiting 20 minutes, she called another manager, Rechael, who explained the return policy due to hygiene reasons. However, the poor handling of the situation by the first manager was unacceptable. She advised me to sell the item to a family member or find another use for it, which was unhelpful and unprofessional. This experience marks a significant departure from the excellent service I've come to expect from Makro over my 15+ years of shopping with them. I hope you will take my feedback seriously and address the issues with staff training and customer care. Sincerely Sandile Thanjekwayo

Not impressed with Makro's on line service at all. I valued their service highly before I made an online purchase with them on the 11th of March '25. Their partnership with the courier they use isn't working for their reputation. They were unable to make follow ups with them to solve my complaint. The call centre agents are very incompetent as they escalated my complaint and never did anything about it. I had a lot of empty promises from them both from their WhatsApp and contact centre. Their service leaves a lot to be desired. Your courier is doing injustice to your reputation, I think you can do better with a better one. I wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase anything from Makro on line.

Unfortunately Makro doesn't care whether your order is delivered on time. Once they handed over courier services, you'll spend more money calling them, begging them them to talk to their courier services. When you ask for refund, you'll be told of 7 to 14 days. Emails are not responded timely. Their WhatsApp group not effective

Bad Review for Makro Online Terrible Service – Avoid Makro Online! I am beyond frustrated with Makro Online’s complete lack of professionalism and customer service. I placed an order (#MAK8932574) 10 days ago, paid in full, and have yet to receive any confirmation of my order or delivery details. Despite numerous emails and calls, including reaching out to their directors and supervisors, I have been completely ignored. When I finally managed to speak to a supervisor, they had no idea where my order was or if the supplier even had stock – yet Makro had already taken my money! I was promised delivery by February 1st, but no one can confirm if this will actually happen. Every time I call, I get the same response: “We don’t know.” This is unacceptable from a company of this size. I have given Makro multiple chances to resolve this, but since they refuse to take my concerns seriously, I will be taking this matter to social media, Hello Peter, and the Consumer Ombudsman. Customers should not have to chase after a company to get basic service after spending their hard-earned money. Save yourself the stress and avoid ordering from Makro Online! I. Hassan

I placed and order in December and waited patiently only to be so disappointed with products of really bad quality. I now applied for return and have to wait for pickup and assessment before I can buy again. I will definitely never use makro online again.

I bought Pocket router online 21 December, delivery date was for 23rd December 2024,no messages or call ,,fine 24th December I received it 1st problem charger it's bund and router itself is dirt and I reported immediately. On button not working properly,,26th requested refund and uplifted till day 05 January 2025 nothing happen Bad services

Beware Makro continues to send you Spam mail despite numerous requests to remove you from their database. I have tried to see where i can give them a poor rating on their site to no avail.

I ordered power banks from Makro, and the expected delivery date was supposed to be today, December 11, 2024, as advertised on their website. However, when I tracked the order, it still shows as "packed" and not picked up by the courier. I specifically chose Mikro because of the promised delivery timeframe, as I urgently needed the power banks for this weekend. Unfortunately, the delay has left me frustrated and disappointed. If the delivery commitment cannot be met, it should not be advertised.

Dear Makro Team, Will I even have a Christmas tree this year for Christmas? I purchased a Christmas tree online on November 25th, with confirmation that it would be delivered by December 5th. On December 2nd, I received a notification stating that the Christmas tree had been handed over to the courier. Since then, I have received no further updates regarding the delivery. I have made numerous attempts to contact your call center, but I have not been able to get through. I also sent emails that have gone unanswered. On WhatsApp, I was informed that I need to deal with the courier service directly. This is not acceptable, as I purchased the Christmas tree from Makro, not the courier. Additionally, I am unable to return or cancel the order to buy another Christmas tree, as it has already been handed over to the courier. This puts me in an unfair and frustrating position. My question is simple: will I still receive my Christmas tree in time to enjoy it before Christmas? I kindly request an urgent response and resolution to this matter.

Poor delivery service!! Been 2 weeks and the company making deliveries phones every time and the only reply, wrong area and send a sms that the delivery wasn’t successful. Nothing getting sorters same thing for 2 weeks!! Will definitely not buy from you again

Order ear phones, not as specified, courier collected, no communication after that, await refund, unable to contact main source as there is no contact number, transaction is pending now 7 days, unbelievable for such a huge organization, anyway it's a wait and see game, never again to do online orders, perthectic service overall ☹️☹️☹️🤬🤬🤬

1. I have ordered a carpet ON THE 25TH OF JUNE that did not come forever and cancelled the order. 2. A few days later, the courier arrived with my order and I told him to take it back since the order was cancelled. 3. I have requested for my refund of R1080.10 (several phone calls and the same explanation every time!) 4. On the 16th of July I have received an email from ******, confirming that my refund has been approved and that the process has been initiated. 5. Then on the 30th of July I get an email from .........., telling me that they could not get hold of me and that they want to arrange the collection of the order. WHAT IS GOING TO BE COLLECTED? 6. On the 5th of August I received an email from Makro to inform me that the order was delivered. WHICH ORDER AND WHO SIGNED FOR IT AT 15:02 PM? I WANT MY REFUND!!! The staff at Makro is obviously not properly trained!!!

I ordered goods from Makro, the order was incomplete. Sent it back to store. Could not get them to understand that it needs to be re sent correctly. Then settled for a refund..... Makro are finding it difficult to authorise that as well.... MAKRO COME ON... why do you offer on line if you cannot oblige. Their workers are striking but they have charged me for products I don't have... is this not theft?? Oh and I cant speak to a manager.... and they wont allocate a refund from another store and Strubens Valleys lines are broken.... I could not make this story up!!! Makro you're a joke... although you have manage to take my money with no goods. To avoid further, please call me on 0824572737
