Purchased a one hour massage as a Valentine's gift for my husband. I spent $120 and got a $20.00 gift card for free. The massage was $140 since we are non-members. The actual massage was only about 45 minutes. He went to the Camarillo location because they are the only ones that have women that do deeper massages. When the massage technician started out, she went into a super deep tissue massage to the point it hurt. He told her to make it a little lighter and then it was like she was barely doing anything. Would not recommend, or go back there ever again, waste of $120.

First of all it wasn’t an hour, it was 45 minutes but I paid for an hour. Second, Eric, the person who was the masseuse was hurting me and when I said it hurt he didn’t stop and kept pressing harder. He said he wasn’t even touching it and was going easy. I cried on the table and was yelling in pain. I feel assaulted.

Horrible customer service at their Alpharetta, GA location on Windward Pkwy. I have repeatedly tried to make contact with the manager, whom the desk staff refers to, but no luck. Trying to resolve their erroneous handling of temporarily freezing my account, too avail.

The front desk at the Easton/Brockton branch need to learn how to interact with lifelong customers, lack of respect and poor communication skills should not have a place in service provider reception!

If I could give less I would apologies ahead of time for the length. I'll start by saying I have had a membership off and on. I originally left due to a bad interaction with an employee at another location. I moved so I decided to give it another go since this was a different one close to my home. All was fine till I booked a stretch and massage. I arrived for my appointment 5-7 min early. The stretch guy got me at the time of my appointment maybe a little later. I told him I was there for a stretch because I had been having some shoulder pain and figured this would be good. He replied, "well I'm not doing shoulders today :-O" Then we ended 20 min early. I told him that it was short he claims he got me early. I really really dislike confrontations so I let it go figured I would speak to the manager about it and make them aware through the survey they usually send after the visits. The massage was awesome though Tamara was excellent. Survey came but not for mr. non shoulder stretch guy. So, I was given a free stretch as a courtesy. I thought everything was good this was on 01/12/25. Why on 01/17/25 I see a debit to my HSA for $37.56 from Massage Envy?? I called and was told they were trying to debit the mthly fee which usually comes out on the 20th of the mth. Here is where I have the issue with them. I was told by one person it was because of the membership fee, another told me it was not them, but another told me it was for the non-compliant stretch I got. Make up my mind for me this resulted in me calling my HSA bank cancelling the card for an unauthorized charge. I waited a whole week to see if this charge fell off since it was the incorrect amount and as they said it was not them. The charge never fell off it went through and posted to the account. They were then blaming my bank and saying it was not them. I said since it was debited, I would pay the remainder I was told no they could not do that, and it was not them. I could pay the membership fee in full, or they could cancel my membership for me. I responded that they or someone there basically stole money from me. A bank/HSA would not randomly say oh let me send massage envy some of her money! Because of my response they then cancelled my membership and basically told me I could "AS A COURTESY" use my remaining sessions that I paid for at another massage envy location. I refuse to respond to them and perpetuate the injurious behavior. But I am really upset, angry, and confused on how I am being treated like this when it was my money??? If it were you, wouldn't you want your money back or not be charged an additional amount for who knows what??? Let us just say after my use of the remaining sessions I will not be giving any more business to them EVER!!!!

I could never get the dates I wanted and was disappointed with the schedule that they wanted to give me. Finally I wanted to cancel my membership and told that I signed a contract and could not cancel. The Bell Blvd Bayside location has been charging me $85 a month for nearly a year for a service I don’t use and or want now. I am a senior on a fixed income. These charges are criminal. I don’t recommend Massage Envy to anyone. It’s just one big money grab. Keep you money. Carol Carson

I recently had an extremely disappointing and distressing experience at Massage Envy. During my scheduled appointment, the staff, particularly Emily Freudeneer, displayed unprofessional and antagonistic behavior that escalated into outright harassment. Emily insisted on collecting payment for a prior cancellation due to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, despite the fact that I had promptly communicated my situation. Her confrontational and dismissive tone led to an embarrassing, prolonged argument at the front desk, which delayed my appointment and created a hostile environment. Furthermore, the facility itself was shockingly unsanitary. The lack of cleanliness raises serious concerns about compliance with basic health standards, making the environment unsafe for customers and staff alike. The overall conditions suggest the need for an immediate health department inspection, as the premises are far from meeting acceptable hygiene requirements. This combination of harassment, antagonism, and unsanitary conditions reflects a severe lack of proper staff training, customer service standards, and operational oversight. After this experience, I have decided to cancel my membership entirely, as I can no longer trust this location to provide a safe or professional experience. I strongly urge Massage Envy to address these significant issues, including staff behavior, customer service training, and health compliance, to restore its reputation and ensure the well-being of its customer

“Kevin” from the Queen Creek location was completely unprofessional and inappropriate when my giving my wife a “massage” . She asked him to work on her stiff neck and did not listen and didn’t work on what she asked him to. Also, he thought it appropriate to try teach her about all of his knowledge of the body as he failed the simplest of tasks… then at the end of the day”massage” he tried to upsell her. When I called to discuss my frustration, “Miley” was unable to assist at the front desk. I highly recommend avoiding this business at ALL COST.

Had a good membership for quite a few years. A time in my life prevented me from having monthly massages so I built up several credits. They put a freeze on my account so I could use them up and then discontinue my membership. Charging me $20 each month for nothing. I was getting down to a couple of massages and I discussed with the staff, "Now I will no longer have charges out of my checking account, correct?" twice, on two different occasions I was told, "yes you are done" Well November and December I have Massage Envy charges . I call and go to the facility and I am told I have to fill out paperwork to discontinue membership. I had told the manager way back in April '24 that I was retiring would have no income and needed to stop withdrawals from my bank. Thats when the freeze started. She did not mention paperwk. I asked that the 2 months be refunded. "Oh they can't do that. " What a racket! They charge if your out of town and go to another ME, they charge to transfer a credit as a gift, they charge for a freeze and they overcharge for the massage, and it doesn't all go to your masseuse. Which by the way, were all pretty good to pretty awesome massages. I don't fault them, I fault the business. A refund would be highly appropriate but they do not have the decency to offer that. $200 would have paid my pain pills bill. I can use up the two massages but the relief is only temporary. Sad Bad business I will never recommend and I will pass on that its a bad business you don't want to deal with.

It is the most horrible membership ever! It does rise the price with not notice, also it is almost improbable to find a real good massage therapist everywhere you go. If you book the same day you should know that you can’t cancel the appointment even a few hours previously. I have been finding a good therapist, but there is not. Your membership is not possible to cancel before a year! I don’t recommend massage envy.

I paid $125 for a 60 minute massage, which lasted barely 45 minutes. I was asked by the girl at the front desk if I prefer a firm massage, in which I answered yes. The massage therapist was nothing close to offering a firm massage. She is highly unqualified to be a massage therapist since what she offered was lackluster and criminally overpriced for her services. When I realized the massage was not 60 minutes, the girl at the front desk said the massage time starts when I walked into their office, which is the most shocking thing I have ever been told in regards to paying for a massage. The massage begins when you step foot into the massage therapists room and they set the timer. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that there was no manager in the office until Monday. I was told that Christine, the manager at the Pembroke Pines office would call me on Monday or Tuesday. How is it even feasible to have strong work ethics when the manager is not even showing up to do their job?

I was naive enough to trust this Platform with my hard-earned savings. In just a month, I lost $535,000. Their lack of support and professionalism were shocking. It was a devastating experience. Thankfully, I filed a complaint with a Tech smart recovery agent Mrs. Linda Smith, and she helped me recover my funds. No matter the amount involved she’s capable of helping retrieve it. I urge you to do your research before trusting any platform with your money – it could save you a lot of heartache. The manager is unapologetic for the lack of communication of their policies. Anyone answering the phone should know these policies and explain them fully to customers before we waste our money and lose our credits. I would not recommend Massage Envy.

RUN do not walk out of Massage Envy. They are only concerned about bullying you into a membership. And not just me. I gifted my daughter a day at this place and they bullied her so to the point she NEEDED a massage when she left. When I tried to end the contract I was (almost physically) forced to sign - they didn't want to hear and did not care. I can see how they can branch out and franchise, if all they want is your money and do not have the basic customer concerns for any health, mental, physical or spiritual. I have had great experiences with Spa Castle.
