I got a text to say they tried to deliver at that time, I was no further than 8ft from the door. They sent me a link to pay redelivery charge. I paid and now I wait. Are there no humans at HERMES impossible to contact.

Vile company, drivers are lairs and they've eliminated all ways to contact them. No complaints department I had to raise a complaint via a third party site - even then they promised to come back to me within 24 hours - it's been 38. This has been ongoing for 11 days, every day your parcel will be delivered - every day nothing. Every day "sorry we've missed you" with no attempt made. I've even received other Hermes deliveries whilst they have point blank refused to deliver. They do this with high end valued items because their drivers steal. All you have to do is read any review site and there are thousands of negative complaints. This company are absolutely disgusting and no one is ever held accountable for these disgusting actions and wasting of peoples times.

Wdnt trust them with a bag of air...they are Also liers who say they have tried to deliver when they haven't...use royal mail ..

AWFUL! Waited at home ALL DAY in such lovely weather. They Re Scedualed my delivery later then never turned up and told ME it was MY FAULT, and that i WAS NOT HOME and there was no safe place to leave my parcel. i was home ALL DAY and nobody came to the door The delivery attempted number they sent online as an image DIDNT MATCH MY ADDRESS Pure LAZINESS and LIES.. THANKS HERMES FOR WASTING MY WHOLE DAY AT HOME. ABSOLUTE KNOBS!

You should be ashamed with the services you provided. It was the first time I used this company to collect my customer's parcel. I booked it for next day collection and my customer took time off work waiting for the collection. Hermes advised at 6am: 'Your friendly local courier will be calling to collect your parcel today'. But then at 11:15am, the tracking say:' Your friendly local courier couldn’t collect your parcel today, we're sorry about that. We'll try again on the next working day'. They just re-scheduled the collection for next day! My customer took another day off and waited for all day for the collection. At 17:45, their tracking say: Thanks for letting us know you don’t need us to pick your parcel up anymore. What?! Why?! nobody contacted them to cancel the booking. In fact their customer service is not contactable! Their website only provides a chat function and a computer answer phone. It goes round and around circles asking to provide a tracking number and there is no option divert you to speak to an agent. This was the worse delivery services my customer and I have experienced. Hermes must be the worst courier company in the UK. I spoke to their delivery driver t my front door this morning. he wasn't in fact delivering to me but my neighbour. As I was waiting for 2 parcels from Hermes, both should have arrived the previous day, I enquired if he had them on board. He said he had left them at the depot because the were quite large and he only had a small van. I asked when I could expect delivery. he said he would return later. I5 minutes later I received an Email telling me that they had tried to deliver but I was not there AND there was no safe place. There is in fact a secure enclosed porch that both Hermes and various other couriers have used over the past 20 years. This company is absolute rubbish - even at telling lies. Sadly this is only the latest in a long and fruitless relationship. many times they have sworn they delivered once they showed me a picture of my parcel at someone else's front door and told me it was my door and I must be mistaken. Really? All that and you can't contact them to complain all you get is a ridiculous computer voice and even she sounds stupid.

Might be cheaper but they damage items during delivery and are unclear on their parcel size limits. Wont be using them again

I am disabled, housebound, mute. I had to send a parcel and needed a courier to collect from home. I chose Hermes as they had delivered items in the past without problem. The courier was supposed to arrive June 1st, no time slot was given, I was told to expect someone between 8am and 8pm. Being disabled, I struggle to reach the front door quickly so I was afraid I would miss the courier and I spent the whole day from 7:30am to 10pm by the lounge window to catch his attention and get time to open the door. No one came. I was so stressed and tired by mid-day, I tried to contact Hermes customer care. There is no way to reach customer care except a phone line which being mute I cannot use. The website has a chat-bot but all it does is take details and add your name to a queue to wait for a response from Hermes. I struggled on for another ten hours. No collection. No help. Nothing. By 10pm, I decided that Hermes had wasted enough of my time so I sent an email to say they had broken the contract by not collecting on time so I considered the contract ended and Indid not want another appointment for a courier to collect my parcel so I had to spend another day by the door. I said I wanted my money back as was my legal right. I also said that Hermes was breaking both the Equality Act 2010 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 by denying access to customer care to mute customers by only offering a phoneline and no text-based contact mute people could use. Since then someone took the parcel to Royal Mail for me and sent it off. Meanwhile, having ignored me when they should have paid attention, now it is far too late Hermes has ignored my demands for a refund and instead sent me a constant stream of stupid emails generated by customer care people pressing a keyboard button instead of dealing with reality and responding to me as a person e.g. one email saying that the entire customer care team were all out of the office until Sunday 9th January 2011 (yes, 2011) and another saying that the parcel they failed to collect and has been sent using Royal Mail is 'currently with a Hermes courier and would be delivered some time in the next week to either me, a neighbour, or safe place and could be tracked online or with their app'. Just random messages to look like they were doing something. But no apology. No explanation. And no refund. Of the couriers they sent, one failed to knock at my door and just knocked at the neighbour's door (a total stranger, and nothing to do with me or Hermes) for reasons best known to himself. Another manged to knock on my door but when I ignored him as I had already cancelled and demanded a refund from Hermes, he then sat in his van for ten minutes just looking confused like he could not work out what had gone wrong, as if he were thinking: 'only 24 hours late but the customer is not home, how can that be?!?' Part of me does pity the poor saps who work for Hermes but the rest of me despises Hermes. I want a refund. I think they should refund my Royal Mail costs too. But I think I will never see my money. As for abusing disabled rights, I have reported Hermes to the authorities - it will be interesting to see if British law actually applies to couriers like Hermes or if they can break the law without sanctions.

Not the first time having issue with Hermes that trying to deliver parcel to business address after 07:00PM!!! They tried to deliver between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. how om earth would you expect a business to be open from 7p.m. to 9p.m. How?????

They gave me an expected delivery slot. I stay at home during that slot. Before the time slot ends, they claim they've made the delivery but no one knocked and no parcel received.

Hermes has got to be the worst delivery company, their customer service is basically impossible to get a hold of, the phone always rings and then cuts out, same thing happens when I manage to get through each time. Unfortunately I always seem to be trying to get a hold of their customer service because in the past few years I think they have only delivered my parcels on time a handful of times. It's always their fault and have lost my parcels on a few occasions, or just super late when I always pay for next day! When I find out my parcel is being delivered by Hermes I audibly sigh and know what I'm in for! All of my friends agree and I think everyone I know has a problem with Hermes!

Same thing every time. I stay home and wait, then I get a message saying I wasn’t home so it hasn’t been delivered. I try to contact someone and can’t. Please stop sending things via Hermes!

Wish you had a minus rating. Claimed they tried to deliver and there was no safe place to leave it. I was in. I have three parcel boxes and I have CCTV Nobody had been to my house. What is really infuriating is there is no way of contacting customer service. The chat is a loop you can't get out of. The phone is a loop you can't get out of. Social medias Social media redirects you to the website. I paid a lot of money for guaranteed overnight delivery. They made no attempt to deliver and LIED and there is zero way to speak to a human being. DISGUSTED.

Hermes out for delivery . I thought yes great I will stay in and wait to make sure I've got it . However despite waiting until 11pm in my house . Suddenly a notification states I was not in so unable to deliver lies lies and more lies . Poorest delivery company In the UK. I have cctv which doesn't show any driver attempting delivery . No card left and definitely no knock on door and I was sat there waiting patiently also looking out of window and no van unreal !!!!

Absolute disgrace. Says tried to deliver but no one, lies! Checked cctv and no attempt to deliver. Now saying another 3 days until delivery, this was a birthday gift! Utter disgrace and not able to contact hermes to resolve

Been waiting for a parcel for 13 days, was supposed to deliver this morning but on checking the tracking info it stated that delivery was attempted but this is not true as I have been in all day and haven’t even been in the garden, no card was left and this has happened to me before Hermes have too many parcels to delivery and obviously not enough delivery men. Hermes are a rubbish company.

Got a txt that Hermes attempted to deliver a parcel while I was in the house. The driver did not leave a note or tracking number the txt URL says there is an error. SO have no way to sort this out. Why does anyone use them.
