Embarrassing company. Item didn't turn up due to "address restrictions" even though I order off Amazon with no issues regularly and even had food delivered to me that same night with no issues! I stayed in all day to receive my parcel. Why no phone call if they had issues with my address? They're Live Chat and phone lines both just ask for a tracking number which then just tells you the same thing it says on their tracker (it still says it is with the courier to be delivered today...three days later lol) only contact is email which takes 24 hours to respond and they just say there was a problem with the address with no explanation as to what the issue even is! Apparently will deliver today but had no email confirmation with a new tracker or no idea what time they might come. Unbelievably bad company, avoid!!

Parcel got to me from the UK to Spain, during the Covid 19 crisis, reasonably quickly. So pretty pleased overall.

I cannot stress too much the need to avoid Hermes like the plague. I placed an order of 2 items with a company which sadly used Hermes to deliver both. This was back in April 2020. I am still in correspondence with Hermes as neither has been delivered to me. The number of excuses they use when faced with a complaint is innumerable but there main game with me was to seem to be investigating and then to default to having no knowledge of the complaint! One representative confirmed one item had been delivered to an address 100 miles from me despite my address in central London as being clear on the parcel. The next stage was to deny any knowledge of the item. The non delivery of the second item is worse inasmuch as an empty parcel, devoid of any contents, was delivered to my address. The parcel was open and the contents stolen. I made a huge fuss about this because if a delivery company steals items then they are in breach of basic trust with the customer and the addressee. Hermes were not at all concerned and once again I was asked to jump through a variety of their hoops until as usual Hermes lost interest and denied knowledge of the complaint resulting in my having to go back to square one. They have now asked me to write to an email address they gave me to enable me to obtain compensation. I did as asked only to have an automated reply that the email given to me by Hermes was defunct! The situation remains unsolved since April and we are now in July 2020! I am now reporting them to the police for theft of my items.

This company is ridiculous, firstly last year, this company suspiciously managed to 'lose' one of my parcels after it arrived at my local depot and went out for delivery, after trying to find it with Hermes they said it couldnt be found and ended it up having to issue a full refund to the seller. How can you lose a parcel thats out for delivery??? Second time was a couple of weeks ago, I stupidly sent a parcel back to a buyer which was faulty before I received any refund. After paying for next day delivery with insurance and signature, I called Hermes to return the parcel back to me as I hadn't received a single penny of my refund. I was told this delivery was out for delivery between 2-4pm, the driver got a message to return it to me at 2:09pm,and by 4pm the app tracking had updated to show that this was being returned to me. Then at 6pm the app further updated to show it had been delivered. For what reason???? Not only have I now lost the parcel, but I havent got any refund for it and Hermes are refusing to take responsibility for this re-attempted delivery, now telling me that it's not covered under insurance as it was 'Fragile electronics' and that a signature wasnt even taken because of COVID, so I paid for all the extras for nothing. This company is a WASTE of time. I now pay for all my parcels to go via Royal Mail as I've never had a parcel issue with them. Don't be fooled by myHermes prices, theres a reason it's cheap.

I was informed by tracker parcel that my parcel has been delivered. I waited in all day to listen out for any deliveries ( My flat as it's own doorbell) the driver did not ring it! It only realised that apparently it had been delivered when checking my tracking as the delivery was late , only to find it allegedly had been delivered! Can only presume it had just been left in an outside area to my flat .Not able to contact anyone plus digital ' holly ' does not understand my complaint.

We believe one parcel of two was going to be 'lifted' Beware of this company. We were waiting for two separate parcels to be delivered on the same day. One for me and one for my partner. The same week that Hermes featured on Radio 4's 'You and Yours' consumer programme. It featured a business woman who had lost 14 (!) packages in one month! Hermes allegedly produced proof of delivery but this was refuted by any of the 14. She had had to fork out thousands because she could not allow her business to risk 14 poor reviews. On our delivery the driver placed one of the two packages on the doorstep - and proceeded to photograph it. He then proceeded to photograph a 'sorry you weren't in' card - as 'proof' - and THEN PLACED IT BACK INTO HIS POCKET WITHOUT PUTTING IT THROUGH THE LETTER BOX! All the while the other 'boxed' parcel was clearly in his delivery bag. He only rang the bell on departing swiftly. We have no doubt that the 'Sorry you weren't in' card and the two photos would be used as 'proof' of delivery of the second parcel. The driver had prepared all the necessary elements then pressed the bell as the very last action before departing swiftly without waiting. All the while the other package which was clearly visible in his bag stayed in his bag. My partner opened the door to find one of the parcels on the doorstep so she ran barefooted to chase him - only intercepting him because a stranger interceded 6 or 7 doors away. On returning to speak to her she advised him that the second package hadn't been delivered whereupon the deliverer proceeded to rummage around in his bag (just two small packages besides the large box) avoiding the large thin box. She placed her hand on the box and tapped it saying that was the one - and he sheepishly pulled it out and read the barcode with his reader. It was such an obvious ploy - and we believe he was going to claim it had been delivered using the other package photo as 'proof'. We knew the valuable clothing item (a leather jacket) was delivered in a box that size because it was a repeat order. This is what is known as the two parcel disappearing trick. The packages were clearly visible as being from a well known men's (and women's) clothing company - with their logo plastered all over the sealed packaging. How do we claim that this was what we believe as downright fraud? Because we have a 4k resolution recording cctv camera in the lobby and his actions were clearly recorded as he prepared everything on the wheelie bin alongside the lobby. Most deliverers ring first to absorb waiting time - as he did in the later delivery. The photo of the completed 'sorry you weren't in' card - photographing it - then putting it in his pocket is compelling for believing this was fraud. (He had carefully moved the other package away from his camera angle when he photographed the first parcel.) He prepared everything only ringing the bell and departing swiftly as a last action - which was different from how he delivered a package - an ironing board - a few doors up. Don't buy stuff which allows a delivery company to deliver two packages on the same day. We have learnt our lesson. And beware Hermes.

Was due to receive a parcel from Whistl which was delivered to Hermes on June 18 on their track and trace. But now they cannot trace it! Funny that! They are seriously not interested. I had to get resolver involved and this was their continual answer of four that they made ! Thanks for getting in touch with us about parcel number 1640297148958327. I apologies the inconvenience caused to you on this occasion and I am extremely very sorry for conduct of the service. I understand, however your retailer has their own policies to follow for these scenarios. We have done everything we can on our side and this is why you’re now best speaking directly with them so they can make any further arrangements they feel necessary which may include a replacement or a refund. Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind regards, Pooja Bhosale Customer Service Advisor Hermes Customer Services They totally remove themselves from responsibility! Pathetic! Do not use them as they are untrustworthy!! Still waiting for them to deliver my parcel! If ever!

Tracking showed my parcel was at 1st stage after the expected delivery date. Contacted seller who said it had been delivered weeks before. Tracking showed no picture, signature or other evidence that it had been delivered. Impossible to contact Hermes. How can a gate costing me £64 go missing? E bay concierge have closed the case so no where to go. Avoid Hermes as you would Covid.

Seriously Hermes how do you still get business when you literally can’t deliver. Every time! Every bl00dy time you fail! I just know when it says via Hermes I’m screwed and might as well regard it as never coming! I hate this company with a passion, and based on all of the reviews so does everyone else. Why do retailers keep them? It’s such bad service.

Parcel not delivered. Impossible to get hold of anyone and when you do get hold of someone, they do not take any responsibility and keep your money and your goods.

If shops would advise in advance who they use as courier, I would possibly avoid buying from anywhere where they use Hermes!! EVERY single time the tracking is not working and there are delays! Day one "we will deliver today" day 2 "we will deliver today" and this can go on for a week if not longer. I have really had enough :(

My parcel picked up 10 June from Parcelshop and according to tracking hasn’t made the local depot by 26 June.. Have complained and supposedly they have investigated but to no avail. Monetary value very little but great sentimental value. Cannot understand how this can disappear off the face of the earth in such a short journey. Lost all confidence in Hermes

The service was easy to use from my local newsagent, very much appreciated in these days of virus difficulties. I tracked the parcel and saw it was delivered, but had been left without being signed for and without any customer contact 'in the porch'. However, when the customer checked the parcel was not there. After making enquiries of the neighbours etc, as a last resort they checked the waste bins and found the parcel in the bottom of the bin. As it was due to be emptied the next day, it was extremely fortunate that the parcel was discovered in time. I appreciate that the delivery drivers wish to have as little contact as possible and to be as quick on their rounds as they can, but to leave an erroneous message was extremely unhelpful. As the parcel had been left in the bin, a card to say this posted through the door would have alleviated ensuing problems.

Still waiting, still waiting, still waiting. How bad is Hermes? Impossible to contact, and having read so many reviews complaining, it’s obviously not just me who is thoroughly p....d off. I have really had enough and have requested a full refund from the seller, although it was a same day despatch. All these sellers must be as fed up as their customers. Answer.... NEVER USE HERMES.
