Customer Service is non-existent - avoid this company like the plague. Received a damaged table 2 weeks ago and now impossible to arrange refund or replacement!

Do not deal with this Company. Nightmare to communicate with. Nobody seems to know what is going one. I now have a dining table that seats 6 but only sent 2 of the 4 chairs ordered . After a further wait of 7 weeks I have been told the chairs are no longer available. Love the product but could cry now left with an incomplete set. Next battle is to get my money back! How long is this going to take. 😂

BEWARE! Ordering is easy. However, delivery is a totally different experience. The delivery company communicates via text only, and if the delivery date is not convenient they will send you another one for the same week day, there is no flexibility. They only delivery in some areas on a Monday, others on a Wednesday etc.... very disappointing.

I placed my order on the 23 August 2020 and knew there was a lead time of approx 8-9 weeks. Email received on 29 September advising that my sideboard would be delivered by DPD on the 1 October - it did not arrive; further email received from DPD that day advising that they would deliver on 2 October. I did think it odd that DPD would deliver as I had thought that a piece of furniture would be delivered by Oak World themselves; when the item arrived I realised why it was delivered by DPD as you could lift it up with one hand (this is a piece of furniture which at half price had cost me £219). Email sent same day requesting collection of item and refund; however this is where problems were encountered; 8 emails and various telephone calls later I finally received my refund on the 30 October. The sideboard was packaged and ready for collection for over 2 weeks and was blocking my front door as I had nowhere else to keep it (I had already purchased a replacement and needed the room). I cannot fault the staff at customer services but this company really needs to brush up on their time management.

Part of the item was damaged and I was offered a replacement part, however the part took 32 days to arrive despite being told it would be 21 days at the latest. By this time I cancelled the order and sent the other parts back, however a neighbour signed for the spare part (10 days after the order was cancelled) which is so huge that I now can’t move it out of my hallway. I’m pregnant and have asked them to come and collect it as it won’t even fit in my car for me to try and dump it and the rubbish men have refused to take it. Lauren at Oakworld has refused and said it’s down to me to dispose of it. Despite me explaining it’s impossible to remove and causing me a lot of stress they will not collect it. I have been given a refund but I’m now stuck with a 10Kg part which measures over 2m long in my hallway.

Zero stars but no option for that!! Been waiting for my refund since the 1st Oct still no sign of it. Constantly told it will be sorted but it never is.

Terrible from beginning to end I placed an order of over a grand for bedroom furniture in June. I got an email saying it would arrive on 21st July. A family member took a day off work to wait in for this as I'm a key worker but it never arrived. When I called back I was given multiple different dates on when it would arrive and had no clear message on whether the furniture had even been built. I was then told it would arrive on w/c 24th August - over a month after agreed. I called throughout that week only to be told it would arrive on the 7th or 8th September - a month and a half after originally promised. The furniture has now eventually arrived and it is not even as pictured when bought. The colour was meant to be a mid grey and is actually off white. After almost 2 months of ordeals with Oakworld I'm going to repaint it myself so that I don't have to be in contact with this terrible company any further. Will definitely be advising friends to avoid Oakworld.

I would advice any further buyer to shop elsewhere. Very poor excuses all the time. Very poor customer service. Go elsewhere because this company is awlful to deal with.

Avoid! This company are the worse company I have ever delt with. The original item was received damaged but their customer service has been terrible. At best they are incompetent at worse dishonest. I have tried many times to resolve this but, despite promises from John Newton, the head of customer services they have missed another deadline. I have had an email saying it will be another 7-14 days which I do not believe. Quite shockingly I have been offered money off not to give a bad review (I can give proof of this if anyone needs it)! I will not use any company that is part of Rightworx including Sofa Italia because of this experience and wish that the directors, Kenneth Hall, Paul Smith and Karl Utley would address the customer service issues. I understand that Coronavirus has made things difficult but why take orders when you know you cannot offer the service and support required? This item is now going in our skip as they have had many opportunities to collect it.

Oakworld poor service Don’t really know where to start Ordered 4/2/20 Longest lead item was 14 weeks Called to ensure it all came as one delivery as I had chosen from two ranges and that was agreed. 1 week later called by courier to state one range was coming I said it’s not and returned again called them to agree what had already been agreed. We agreed a delivery date of 30th if May following a delay with the longest lead item Conflicting stories from customer service although it had been confirmed they had the longest lead item Took the 30th off and they cancelled delivery last minute the evening before with another delay. So I called them again arranged for all the items too be delivered barring the one missing item on the 2/6 and low and behold only two items come another wasted day off So about 10 calls later they told me the remaining items excluding the one item is being picked up from them in the 9th this week and we will get confirmation of when and what time it will be delivered but it would be 11th it 12th Well you couldn’t write a book about it the the furniture arrived today 10th at 10am Unarranged and unannounced my poor missus was doing her nut just her and an autistic child indoors that can’t be left unattended and a pallet load of furniture left in the road in the rain with now at to get it in as I was over a 100 miles away at work as we had no idea it was coming so too top it off I had too phone around and pay two chaps to come over two hours later in the rain and breaking covid 19 rules as they are not from this household and all you you get from customer services is a f**king useless apology which is meaning less no thought of offering any reimbursement for nearly a £1000 lost in wages and and having too pay for additional labour to move it. What a shower of **** avoid at all costs Thanks Jon customer service manager for your meaningless appologies , Maybe you should actually put some propper systems in place
