Please do not buy anything from Opodo. They are charging my card for their Opodo Prime membership, without my consent they have done it automatically. They are a scam and part of a on-line mafia rubbing people.

I booked a flight with Opodo TWO years ago today 17/10/2020. They cancelled my flight ticket a few days before the flight. After 18 months, they said they would make the payment. I kept chasing them up rather than them contacting me and they would keep claiming that they had paid my account although they hadn't. They then had the audacity to ask me to check my account as if I am not the one with access to my account. They had recorded the wrong account number and the wrong phone number! They would say "We apologize again for the inconvenience this situation," but that apology, that 'sorry' meant nothing to them. TWO YEARS without a dime back. These people NEED to be avoided at all costs.

The price for the airline ticket was advertised at £258. Went to checkout it increased to £273. Once I put all my details in and hit submit, a box popped up that said: “oops, the airline ticket has increased to £283” I will never use them again.

Now waiting nearly 6 months for refund of cancelled flights. Am now posting on all sites to warn people not to touch Opodo. I am constantly in contact and have even contacted their CEO who is totally disinterested. Every correspondence is replied to by a computer generated answer. Someone in there is getting very rich on our money. Isn’t it time this company was stopped from trading

Online booking forces you to input all details (including payment details), then only tells you *once you click pay now* that oh, the flight is 33% more expensive than advertised. Obviously you cancel and leave the website, never to return, but you know that they now have your email, home address, phone number, bank details etc.

Very bad service, deleted my account, never going back. Long story short, when they make a mistake they will reply to you with this "We apologize again for the inconvenience this situation, which is beyond our control, has caused and we remain at your disposal should you require any further assistance." Whenever you write them back they will just copy past this msg to you.

Thieves,thieves, thieves, getting promises of refund for past 3 weeks nothing, as per agent they will refund only 1% of my money. They even refused to show me letter from airline

Biggest scamming company out there. NO JOKE, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!! I booked 2 tickets to India at the beginning of 2022 for myself and a friend. Sadly my father-in-law was informed by the hospital that he had terminal cancer and had a short time to live. I contacted Opodo with this news and they showed zero compassion as I had to cancel the flight. Since then he has sadly passed. I have spoken several times on the telephone and via emails, almost 50 to be exact. I paid £400 back to my friend out of my pocket as I felt this wasn't his issue and I hoped like any other travel company, medical records could be provided with the understanding I would get a refund, obviously with admin fee charges. This just hasn't happened. I found the email address of dreams and Opodo CEO, which I have contacted several times with zero replies. Opodo then informed me that I will get a measly £233 refund. Flights to India are now £2000 each and I am currently out of pocket by £800. Today, 27th Sept 2022, Opodo has again informed me that the funds have gone into my bank and it's my bank's fault, not theirs. I checked with the bank and zero funds have gone in. Again after several emails with photographic evidence that funds are not in my bank, Opodo then began informing me that their accounts department has made a mistake and the funds will go into my account on the 10th of October, a month after Opodo was first informed of the family bereavement. This has caused a huge amount of strain on myself and my family. Opodo has also told me to speak directly to the airline. Air France has no direct customer service telephone number and an email was sent without a reply. When I called Opodo once again, the staff asked if I has spoken to Air France, I informed them that I have been trying, and the staff member then replied, I quote, " Ok there is nothing further to discuss, bye, bye" and she hung the phone up on me. I have had to contact a solicitor and look to build a case against Opodo. My true advice is for anyone thinking of booking a trip through this company, think again. Go direct with an airline to save the pain, stress, and upset. For me, this battle continues, and I can see it going on for months, just like the rest of the customers on here having similar issues. My flight from Larnaca Cyprus to the UK booked via Opodo was cancelled on the 2nd of July! We now have the 2nd of October and BA have informed me that the funds for the tickets have been returned to Opodo but they refuse to refund me. It is infuriating to know that they have basically STOLEN my money and are refusing to return it to me. They are SCAMSTERS never again!!

This company has deeply disappointed me. My husband and I purchased tickets, needed to cancel and went through the correct channels and procedures to do so. Now, 6 months on, we still do not have our own money back. Each time I call the UK line someone answers and lies to me, telling me everything I want to hear, and then nothing happens. It is infuriating to know my money has basically been stolen and there is nothing I can do about it. I will never use your services again and make sure no one in my orbit uses your services.

I‘d just like to send you a huge SCREW YOU. Your customer support is terrible. Your company is terrible. You‘ve almost destroyed my business trip to France and holidays to USA twice in a row in two weeks by providing false information. You told our flight to Lyon is cancelled by Brusseles Airlines, even though the flight actually happened and we‘ve been declared as NO-SHOW and therefore couldn‘t travel back. We had to book a train and new flights. You told my tickets to Los Angeles are cancelled, are non-changeable and non-refundable, therefore I didn‘t know until the last minute if I‘ll have to cancel my dream holidays to USA. Thanks god Turkish Airlines helped me and changed my cancelled tickets to new ones in 5 minutes in airport for free (even though you kept lieing to me that neither changes nor refunds are possible according to Turkish Airlines rules for my booking, despite my arguments). You kept lieing to me in both cases, even though I tried to call you and write you at least 20 times. Flight ticketing is a super responsible business, because plans and destinies of thousands of people depend on you. And you’re the most irresponsible company I have ever faced. I hope you go bankrupt as soon as possible.

The worst platform, they make you pay more for flexible flights so you can be able to change or cancel flights, and when you try to amend anything they charge you the same whole ticket price for the change , and they refuse to cancel so you don’t claim a refund. really bad service but I will raise this to the aviation commissions as these companies should not be there.

Il y a deux ans, j'ai apparemment pris un abonnement Prime sans le savoir. Depuis il me prélève plus de 50 euros par an parce qu'il y a un renouvellement automatique de cet abonnement. Je ne savais pas du tout que j'avais souscris à cet abonnement, et je ne savais donc pas du tout que je devais annuler cet abonnement. L'année dernière je n'avais pas fais attention que j'avais été débité de cette somme sur mon compte. Cette année, je me suis rendu compte hier que j'avais été débité de cette somme. Le lendemain (donc aujourd'hui - 1 jour après), j'appelle le service client pour savoir quelle est cette somme prélevé sur mon compte et c'est là qu'on m'explique que j'ai un abonnement et qu'il est renouvelé automatiquement. Je demande donc un remboursement et on me dit que c'est impossible. Je n'ai pas utilisé Opodo depuis deux ans, j'appelle le le lendemain d'un renouvellement automatique dont je n'avais pas conscience et on me dit que non, on ne me remboursera rien. J'ai déjà été dans ce cas de figure (renouvellement automatique) par deux fois avec d'autres compagnies et on m'avait remboursé dans la foulée. J'en arrive donc à la conclusion que Opodo est une compagnie de VOLEURS!

Just terrible customer service I booked with Opodo and got a Prime tariff even though it never asked me to sign up for it. I thought ok why not. On my profile there was no button that indicated I have Prime or that I could cancel it. 1 month later they charge the fee. Oviously the very rudimentary chat bot has no function for such requests. Then my name was spelled wrong in the booking and after hours I finally received a call from someone to tell me I have to pay extra 25 EUR. I explain it's not my mistake and she replies: "Well then I can't help you". Thanks for nothing. I will never book with them again. Not worth the drama.

Shameful organisation, avoid. Do not sign up to Opodo Prime, you cannot cancel it and they automatically charge you annual membership after the 30 day ‘free trial’ expires. Most high street banks block Opodo or Edreams payments now because they generate so many complaints. It’s time regulators/legislators took some action!

Appalling! Booked with Opodo, including their cover for Flexible Travel dates. Have just spent to whole evening trying to contact them to rearrange my flight as covered by the Flexible cover. Am informed on their website that this can only be done by calling them. Attempted to call (22 times in total). The calls are simply dropped. Got on their 'chat' facility, which gives you Kris, a bot. Eventually get past him to a 'human' agent, who can only tell me to ring the same number I've already rung. He says the call centre is not authorised to rearrange flights. He does give me a link to complaint to. I go to that link which, guess what, links me back to Kris, the bot! Obviously, there is no email and, as other reviewers have said, the system is clearly designed to block and frustrate anyone seeking refunds etc. I've no choice but to book my own alternative flight separately. Any attempt to recover the cost from Opodo will be similarly blocked and frustrated. My advice is that you avoid Opodo at all costs. Meanwhile, I will be (a) reporting them to the FSO (UK) for mis-selling a financial product (their Flexible Travel product) and (b) submitting an online Money Claim for the reimbursement of my additional flight costs. Its a simple legal process for small money claims, to which companies are legally obliged to respond. That usually makes them just pay up!
