we booked flights to germany through this company, however in december ryanair contacted us to say they were cancelling the flight, since numerous attempts to contact opodo we have got nowhere and this has been nothing to do with corona virus, so please do not uss this company ,nothing but thieves .

Very poor customer service ! Flight cancelled due to Coronavirus, which is understand. Ring them 3 times, could not sort out problem. On 18th Feb 9:03 am, get through the phone, a lady asked to hold, then hanged up phone. Keep ringing them in following 2.5 hours, could not get through... Very disgrace experiences... Give another updating on 4th March 2020, flight cancel again, keeping ring 0800 026 1621 for another two hours, no answering. Keeping saying your waiting time will be more than 5 mins. However, really time will be 50 mins x 2 and still no one answer.... Give another updating on 6th March 2020. Tried a few time and get someone picked phone call. Staff said to get refund, need reply the email they send to me. Here is email below I received. ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ Dear Customer, In order to process your request, we would need you to provide us with $("cancelation email with refund amount") by replying to this message. Once we have received the document above, we will continue with the necessary arrangements in order to fulfill your request as soon as possible. We remain at your complete disposal should you require any further assistance. No response at all.... Simple this agent cancelled the flight and kicked customer around to avoid refund. Lost around £900... I recommend anyone wish to purchase from this agent should think about contingency cost. Their price normally £30 cheaper than offical airline website, however, you may end up with lose everything without refund. Call them is really frustration, cause seems like they employed "call centre" from other site of the plant. STOPPING & AVOID BUYING Online tickets from agent without a formal bunsiess office site, without any channel to trace your refund. Using anyway to stop you contact with them to discuss.

Ca't get hold of customer service - change the mark , said needs to be 7days prior to departure and now it sayd 3 days. Wont confirm my cash refund despite airline voucher stating they have cancelled and will refund cash - opodo offering vouchers which i cannot use and claiming ht eflight has not been cancelled yet.. unhelpful and non-professional

Avoid my flights had been cancelled through the virus the airlines refunded my money into there account 4weeks ago still not into my account impossible to get through on the phone ROBBERS

Whilst I appreciate the coronavirus situation is unique to us all, Opodo's response has caused unnecessary stress and upset to its customers. Their incompetence and unhelpful approach stands out as being exceptionally bad versus their competitors. Opodo has no email address that you can reach them on. Their chatbot is useless, resulting in a frustrating circular response system with no solution. Even their terms and conditions page yields 'Error 404' page 'not found' (much like Opodo's customer service in general) The customer service number provided by Opodo only lets you talk to an agent if your flight is within 7 days. After waiting two weeks to talk to a person, the automated system now cuts you off it your flight is not within 3 days. I'm sure I saw a moving goal post around here somewhere... Locating a receipt on Opodo.com to check if a 'cancel for any reason guarantee' was booked also seems to be an unobtainable feat. Lufthansa is unable to help me as I booked through Opodo. Opodo - I'm not asking you to donate a kidney, I just want to talk to a person about my flight this Sunday and obtain a refund. Your competitors are managing this. Why aren't you? I would urge anybody wishing to book flights with Opodo in future to consider other options. As you've probably gathered, I'd rather eat my leg with a spoon than go through the stress of dealing with this company again.

What a joke, they advertise them self's as award winning customer service team. I have tried to call them for three weeks now but no one answered the phone so far. This was the first and last time that I have used Opodo. No way that in 2020 this company can function.

I have called them several times, ,my flight was cancelled, they cut you off after 3 hours. no email to way to contact them! the worse company. contact your credit card company because Opodo is impossible! by the way this company is owned by edreamers! they same rubbish! take them to court! because I will

Absolutely awful company to deal with. I have been trying to get hold of someone since the 10th of march. No one want to answer the phone. No email address to contact them. Automated system is turned on and asks you to wait but no one wants to answer the call even after an hour. Called several times and gets cut off. Cant rearrange my booking or get a refund. Big mistake to use them. Never again.

Have booking on 8th April but no way to reach them. Scam company. After frustrating wait on the call, call just gets disconnected. Not sure if we get our refund at all. Legal action only option left.

Worst company ever. Been trying to get hold of someone to find out the status of my booking since the 20th March. No response. Cant speak to anyone. Line just cuts off. I have booked a multi trip for a big birthday and now have to cancel or rearrange but no one wants to help. Automated system keeps saying line busy. Waited several times for over an hour each time I have called. Its obvious they have just put on an automated message as they dont want to deal with any customers equiries or refunds. Appauling service. Quick to take the money but dont want to even help to rearrange booking. Big mistake to use them. Never again in the future.

Definitely not recommended. Terrible company. I bought a flight ticket going to Japan via Opodo. Although my flight going to Japan showed its flight taus as on-time in app, flight was actually cancelled. There are some ridiculous points about this company. First of all, I have not got any email regarding cancellation of my flight (app shows it as on-time) so that’s why I went to airport, and got to know it was cancelled. They didn’t provide any up-to-date flight information. Secondly, due to that situation, I have called Opodo more than 20 times but they cut off my phone call automatically as they said it’s busy time. There is no email address so you basically have no choice to contact them. For me, fortunately, airline company understood my situation and they changed flight without additional cost but It was 2 days later of the original flight day so I had to stay hotel for 2 days. Overall, should avoid using this company at least you don’t wanna waste money.

Terrible company and appauling customer service. The automated services states you can only contact them 3 days before departure and hangs the phone up. Once our flight was 3 days away we literally spent those 3 days trying to get through to them all day to cancel our flights to Bali due to the COVID-19 situation. This has cost us over £4000 & no contact from Opodo. Having given up trying to talk to someone we decided to cancel via the automated service & we were then put on hold for over an hour. It is evident they have adjusted the systems to not answer calls or process cancellations ignoring their customers. They don't even have an email address to communicate to either. They need to be taken out of business. Terrible company.

Flights for 3 people on 7 April cancelled and Lufthansa airline confirmed refunds should be made by Opodo as they were our travel agent. Opodo denied this, only offering vouchers which are no good to us. On second call to them they cut us off (it took 1.5 hours to get through each time). They owe us over £1400. The operators do not listen and just repeat the same line over and over. Customer service is appalling.

@opodo Booked a trip to Hong Kong and Bali,multiple flights cancelled,no contact from @opodo about cancellations. Have been trying to contact customer service for 3 week!! I am at a loss of €2400! As for prioritising by departure..first (cancelled) flight is tomorrow !! #scam

My Virgin flight was cancelled- you never bothered to tell me. Now you are urging me to take a voucher! You are kidding? This is not in the interest of your customers but your profits - shame on you to give such bad advice

You can’t get in contact with anybody. God help you if you need to sort out something about your trip, their phone number leaves you to a robot and they don’t respond to emails. Horrible service this company is no help and should be shut down before it can scam any more innocent people.

I booked a flight on the 19th of March 2020. Within 2 hours I needed to cancel this flight. I have spent several hour attempting to cancel this flight to no avail. It is impossible to get through their automated service the robot simply cuts you off. Your can also speak with them through their website. But again its a robot. This is a scam opodo don't want you to obtain any refund. I really would like to know how a company can operate like this without it being flagged up. I've even attempted to contact KLM who the flight is though and what is their response??

My flight was cancelled by Emirates on March 25th due to Corona virus .I have verified this with Emirates who tell me I must contact Opodo. Opodo do not answer it goes to answerphone and says call back later. My flight still shows as confirmed in manage my booking with a departure date of April 5th.Disgusting company they know its cancelled and the internet and Trust Pilot are littered with complaints about them .

Right so flights are cancelled due to Coronavirus. Not Consumer fault Opodo refusing to refund money !! What the Hell ! Why ? Not my fault !! Absolutely Rip off this company is shouldn’t even allowed to trade in Uk with such a Rip off company ANY HELP FROM TRADING STANDERS !!! Scan channels !!
