I rent a car in France using Opodo and paid fully in advanced. Opodo sent me the car hire voucher stating that the UK driving license is accepted in France without the need for an international driving license. When I arrived to France, the Europcar rejected to give me the car as they needed an international driving license. I showed them Opodo car hire voucher and called Opodo customer service which was not helpful at all. Ended up paying 82 £ bus fees to get to my address. Opodo promised to get back to me in 48 h then in 20 days and it has been a month without hearing from them. Please stay away of this company as you will lose your cash and you will not get the service you are aiming for. They ruined my whole trip and I'm considering to sue them soon.

Very poor!! had no clue that the airline I booked was not going to be the one I would be flying so I find out there are two different airlines with different baggage allowance which I still don't know if I have any carry on allowance at all, the itinerary on the app said air Transat but when I logged into Thier website the itinerary was different operator.l was told during booking I could add luggage after payment by going to manage my account on app but no I couldn't so I tried with airline but apparently I can't add any hold luggage as flying economy why wasn't I told this ? The help centre can't help either . However the airline were quite happy to allow me to pay to select our seats !

I booked flights with internet check in. Tried to check in before flight and couldn’t. Opodo said it was an issue with Ryanair. I couldn’t check in with Ryanair on line so had to do it at the airport. Ryanair charged us£55 per passenger, and blamed Opodo? Opodo then credited my account with £16 for not being able to check in online. I am £220 down and still have to go sort my return flights. I will never use Opodo again a total scam. Really dissapointed.

***DO NOT USE OPODO*** I booked two flights from an airport in Italy to an airport in Greece through Opodo on 3.7.23. The full amount of uk pounds was immediately taken from my account but I never received confirmation email with reference number. Ryanair never received any request from Opodo on my behalf to book tickets. Family members travelling have had to book/buy tickets directly through Ryanair to ensure travel. Opodo should refund the account that they took the payment from. DO NOT USE OPODO!

Avoid Opodo at all costs, especially their Prime membership. I am an Opodo Prime Member and booked 4 flights with BA through Opodo. BA cancelled the outbound flight on the night we were due to travel and waiting in the airport so my party had to travel from Heathrow to Stansted and travel with Ryanair to reach our destination. More cost, more inconvenience. I raised this with Opodo next day to get my refund who told me to contact BA. I contacted BA who told me to speak to Opodo. I am due a refund which should legally take 7 days, I'm then told it will take 30 days, I'm then told it will take 8 weeks and I'm then told it will take 10 days. Go figure. I have been told the refund has been requested but nobody can provide any evidence to this effect, all I have is an online chat and call agents telling me that is what they can see, but they can't tell me when it was requested, when it will be paid or how much the refund will be. Effectively, this is all a scam as the airline keep your money for as long as possible and Opodo renege on doing the decent thing which is refund their customer (me) whilst they seek the refund from the airline. However, they can't do this as apparently Opodo don't know how much BA will give them back. In short, what you pay is not necessarily what you get back. It's a pretty good scam. I also discovered that since Brexit, Opodo moved their HQ to Spain so they are free to operate with much lower standards now that they are no longer a UK based/owned company. Wish me luck getting anything back at this rate. Further to this, I have since booked other travel elsewhere due to my concerns with Opodo (once bitten twice shy) and I discovered that booking direct was much cheaper than the so called benefit of being with Opodo. Therefore, the Prime membership is more like a set of shackles and its makes things harder for you to resolve matters when things invariably go wrong. In short, look at the negative reviews on here for Opodo because I believe the majority of complaints are by decent people like me who paid a small amount for a premium service but actually got hoodwinked into a scam that not only leaves you out of pocket but also on your own when things take a turn for the worse. Come on Opodo, just do the decent thing and give me my refund on my flights.

One of the "ostensible cheaper" service. After booking I faced with extra "eDreams fee" which in addition was not refundable. And finally when the airline canceled one of my flight, had to wait half of year for a refund!

DO NOT USE OPODO TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS!!! 1 star is not low enough for the terrible customer service we experienced with Opodo. We arrived at the airport to find out there was a £110 charge with Ryan Air because Opodo had not provided the correct email address. After requesting a refund from them they denied this saying that we should of contacted their customer service line. This was on a Sunday and the customer service helpline for Ryanair and Opodo were closed so there was no way that we could contact anyone. Absolute rip off! DO NOT USE THEM!

Case 11856893010 is no longer just about money! SERIOUSLY? You lied and cheated and then insulted me. Not having that! That was never going to happen. If someone on the street had tried to take £160 something GBP from my pocket, it would have ended in tragedy. You tried to do it on the internet, hiding behind your cliched emails and hoping to wear me down. Not going to happen. #DontGoOpodo WILL reimburse me for lying cheating and stealing AND for abandoning me in Lyon on 18th June 2023. Also, I want to see a HUGE apology from you, for all that you tried to do. When you have reimbursed me the £600 that it took me to get from Lyon back to UK, then I will review this. YOU PICKED THE WRONG MAN TO DO ‘YOUR THING’ TO – I WILL NOT BACK DOWN, I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO. YOU GOT UNLUCKY> EXPECT TO SEE MANY, MANY MORE REVIEWS, UNTIL YOU FORK OUT AND APOLOGISE, AND, the apology will have to be true – you tried to rob me, take MY money from me. THAT WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. You just got unlucky. You tried to keep my easyjet refund, after ripping me off bigtime with the initial booking. Then, all your emails. If I could give zero stars I would...i booked flight and received confirmation email, today I open app and I saw that my flight was cancelled. I called them to find out what was a reason, and they told me it was cancelled by my bank. Just wondering how they can send confirmation email with flight details and refence number, if they didnt get money??? Highly dont recomend this company - scamers!

Our flight to Vietnam got cancelled because of the pandemic. Now after almost 3 years we still are waiting for the refund. Don`t trust Opodo!!!!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.. DON’T BOTHER. Spent an hour trying to sort out a simple time change on car hire. Customer service agent barely spoke or understood english, blatantly lied to me & tried to charge double my money. Refund fees were more expensive than purchase price. Ended up changing time via website myself at half the cost of the car hire (which was less than half of the cost the agent was offering!)

Beware rolling £59.99 annual subscription . Unaware of this and there is no choice to opt out of this when joining . Hopeless customer service

What a con from start to finish. You get all the way through the transaction,give them your credit card details and at the very last press of the button they tell you the fare has increased by £60. When I phoned to complain I was told it was an admin fee.....when I did all the wretched booking myself!!! The final straw turns out to be Ryanair don't recognise third party bookings and won't let you check in without a huge fee!!!! DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGE POLE! SO disgusted by the whole experience. Give me a refund

OK so I paid extra for a flexible flight and had to reschedule the flight. I found a new flight for the 30th of July which was significantly cheaper (almost half) of what I paid and selected it in order to book it. I’ve done this process many times in the past with multiple companies and it was always done automatically. In this case however I got an email according to which my request was currently in the “Processing” stage and “Please keep an eye on your phone and emails, as we may need to contact you.” I thought that was a bit weird because of my past experience with other normal non-scammer companies, but maybe it was just for some extreme exceptions and not a common practice. Anyway after a while I got a phone call from Opodo call centre, informing me that the price increased and I had to pay extra! Of course at that point I was almost certain that I was dealing with a deeply unethical and immoral company but gave them the benefit of the doubt. I told the guy who called me that I was really flexible and available to travel at any of the 60 days following the initial travelling day, so all I wanted was to tell me one day with a flight fare less than or equal to the amount I already paid, so that I wouldn’t pay extra and I would book that day. He told me that he would have to check day by day and he wasn’t going to do that! Anyway, after getting off the phone I found a new flight for the 13th of August which was even cheaper than the previous one, way less than half of what I paid initially, to be exact €19.22 (the price is still the same btw as I am writing this!) and again attempted to book it. Again same procedure, email at the “Processing” stage saying “Please keep an eye on your phone and emails, as we may need to contact you.” Indeed after a while I get a phone call from Opodo and surprise surprise…the price again increased and I had to pay extra! I think the extra amount depends on the amount you initially paid…I assume in general it is around 30-35%, that’s what they asked from me and if I try to think as a thief I guess that’s the sweet spot for a successful blackmail. It is like they are holding your money and blackmail you to give them some more otherwise you lose it all! Overall my experience with these scammers was horrible! The flexible option is of course a joke and if you try to exercise it, be prepared to pay ransom for your money! In my case they were so shameless that the ransom they asked was greater than the actual price of the new ticket (that I would pay if I simply booked a new flight). My friendly advice – stay away from this company!! Take care.

This company is disgraceful. Three and a half years I’ve been waiting for my refund after the airline cancelled my flights. Excuse after excuse and promise to refund in 10 days but nothing. Then they took a new direction - saying they had already refunded me - except they hadn’t. So I wasted another year providing statements to prove I hadn’t been refunded. Then eventually they have admitted an error on their behalf, and I would get my refund in ten days. And guess what. A month later absolutely nothing. Please do not use this company under any circumstances. It’s just not worth the hassle if anything goes wrong.

I had the same experience as 'anonymous' below. I'm now at the point where HSBC has stopped my card and has to reissue a new one to stop Opodo helping themselves!!

DO NOT sign up to Opodo free months subscription. You get an offered a flight discount if you trial their subscription and can cancel within the first month and not get charged their annual fee of £69.99. I cancelled it within 2 weeks. HSBC fraud team blocked my card saying this company was attempting an unauthorised withdrawal. Spoke to them again on line so have evidence of them confirming cancellation so my bank have lifted the security block. Today 9 days later, have noticed they have without permission withdrawn £69.99 from my account. Upon speaking to them I now have to wait 10-15 days for a refund. If I would have read these reviews I wouldn’t have booked with them and will be reporting it.

Scammer AVOID Terrible customer service. I booked a Ryanair flight through Opodo with an offer that if I pay £35+ Opodo prime membership then I will get priority boarding x10kg cabin bags for 2 passengers, so I took the offer straightaway. Then I tied to check my booking for both airlines online and I can see only London to Rome, Ryanair has the priority boarding x10kg cabin bags but not the Wizz airline tickets, so I call to your customer service on 8th of June and they informed me that the priority boarding x10kg cabin bags is only for Ryanair and if I want the priority boarding for Wizz I have to pay 90euro. I was trying to explain the situation to the manager (Divash Naskar or something can’t remember his name) but he wasn’t helpful at all, he said “WE ARE NOT GIVING ANY SERVICES WHICH YOU DONT PAY FOR IT” and after post booking and pay you can have option for Wizz air priority boarding, which you have to pay extra and we can’t do anything about it, you need to talk to the Air line directly. But my question is when I booked the tickets it was from OPODO not from the Airline website, and there is not any clear information give that priority boarding is not for the wizz air, and how do I know if it’s not on the page, the manager kind of tried to put blame on me. I will say it was totally miss guided about £35+ Opodo prime member, And I want the solution for this matter, because it’s not make any sense to going on holiday carries 2 cabin bags and after finish the holiday we throw the bags in to the bin and come back home empty hand. I still don’t know if I can solve this problem, JUST AVOID OPODO
