“What’s the use of having a warranty and you can’t even use it. My vehicle is in the shop for a second time and they will not take care of it. That’s not covered under on our policy but you break down again be sure to give us a call ok bet. Broke down again thought it was something that dealership did but it wasn’t but in my defense I told them what was wrong in the first place but they found everything else wrong. Of course Ox doesn’t cover it. Now it’s in again and they don’t cover the part it was supposed to originally went in for ok cool, well do you cover this part then cause my vehicle is not moving and is stuck at the dealership nope we don’t but you can have them do a diagnosis and we can go from there. But if I just told you what it was then why go thru the extra.”
“Folks. Not a one of these aftermarket car warranty companies are around after a few years. Can't pay out claims and remain in business. Impossible.
They hire celebrities to speak good words but that's it...they hire. And have customers .....for positive speaking on TV ads.
Don't fall for it. The claims reps will get creative with words to justify otherwise paying a claim you submit...you didn't maintain...da da da, oil sludge da da da...lack of maintenance records da da da...”
“I contacted Ox Care Care less than 30 days ago to get a quote for a warranty on my 2016 Hyundai Sonata. I indicated to the representative that I needed to check my manufacturer’s warranty to move forward (I thought I still might have coverage remaining for the dealer). I was told that I could sign up and within 30 days get a refund if I requested it.
Well, less the 5 days later I called them back to cancel the new warranty. They was told that I would see a refund via check in 7 days. After the 7 day period had passed I called back to find out where was the check. I was told that it was being processed and I should see it shortly. Another 5 more days had passed I reached out again and this time I was told that I would not be receiving a refund because I filed a complaint with my bank regarding the missing refund.
At this point my bank has issued a temporary credit to my account. I am not sure how this will all turn out but I would like to let everyone know that they are a SCAM and that you should never consider buying a warranty from them.”
“They have taken two payments out of my banking account. I have not received any proof of any coverage whatsoever. I believe this company is not a credible company.”
“Can't say how much I recommend everyone to stay FAR away from Ox Car Care. They are a scam and will run you around, treat you like garbage and will leave you in the lurch. Try Endurance or another company, that won't treat you like garbage.”
“First time using this service and it's been over 2 weeks my vehicle is at the dealers for repairs. According to the manual within 72 hours the claim department would process your claim NOT! I'm still waiting! Please be advised if you are planning to purchase a car warranty from OX Car Care read the reviews.”
“Before you decide on oxcar, you might want to reconsider your choice. They just ripped me off for over $1,200. They delayed approving my claim so long that I had to pay just to get my car back. So they would not reimburse me for my costs. I'm 73 years old with a terminally ill wife and am on Social Security. I could barely afford to make the monthly payments as it was, and then they simply stole from me just as if they broke into my house and took my wallet. They should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers, but they are not. O, they did apologize to me, but I am still out over $1,200. Their apology does not buy groceries or medicine for my wife. If you are interested in throwing hard earned money away, go with oxcar. Otherwise, your smartest thing to do is to avoid them like the plagues of Egypt.”
“I am so very thankful that I read the reviews for Ox Car Care. I was strongly considering purchasing a warranty plan from them. One of the first things that turned me off was an agressive salesman. They make it seems easy that you can cancel your policy in 30 days and get your money back, but thanks to the many people who believe that lie, only to find out it was truly a lie so I didn’t fall for it. Their sales people are only doing their job, but I cannot understand why they would work for a company who cons people out of their hard earn dollars, what if a company did that to one their family members. They have constantly called my cell phone 2-3 times a day, but I welcome their call because I like to remind them of their very bad online reviews and it seems like the sales person knows it because they realize that they cannot over come that objection and they always get off the phone with me very quickly. I highly encourage people to please read the reviews of all Car Warranty Programs before making a purchase.”
“AFTER READING ALL THE BAD REVIEWS I DECIDED TO CANCELL MY POLICY BEFORE IT STARTED, AND BECAUSE THEY HAD MY CARD ON FILE THEY CHARGED MY ANYWAYS. INSTEAD OF RETURNING MY MONEY I WAS TOLD THEY NEED TO HEAR THE ORIGINAL CONVERSATION FISRT. GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY”
“Just completed a lengthy discussion with the agent; “Diante” and was close to proceeding with a contract with a verbal Quotation of $100. to review the contract for 30 days with an option to cancel after that time period.
Before making a final decision, I request an opportunity to research the reviews on their website and was put on hold to speak with a person who identified himself as a financial manager, which insulted my intelligence.
I have experienced this maneuver before and certainly recognized a “Closer” who wasn't successful at his objective.
After hanging up; I proceeded to visit their website in an effort to research the “Reviews”
It was very fortunate as I discovered that more than 90% of the response was very negative.
“The morals to the story” are; make every effort to finish your “due diligence” before you make an uninformed decision.”
“I BROUGHT A POLICY FROM OX CAR CARE. THE SALESMAN REALLY SOUNDED GOOD,BUT WHEN I NEEDED TO CANCEL IT (AFTER THEY HAVE CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD) THIS COMPANY HAVE.CARRIED ME THOUGH HOOPS AND HURDLES FOR OVER A YEAR AND HAVE NOT REFUNDED MT MONEY YET. THEY CANCELED THE POLICY AT THE TIME I REQUESTED BUT AFTERWARDS THE PROBLEMS BEGAN. WHAT THEIR PLANS IS THAT THE CUSTOMER JUST GIVE UP. SO AMERICA PLEASE BE ADVISED." EVERYTHING THAT SOUND GOOD IS NOT AS GOOD AS IT SOUND."”

OX CAR CARE IS A FRAUD! It misrepresented itself and refused to pay claims in full and timely! A water pump had to be replaced on a friend's 2020 GMC Yukon XL Denali while he was out of town. The company would not pay for a rental car directly but suggested that he incur the rental expense up front and submit for reimbursement only to risk denial. Thus, a rental car was not a viable solution as he's stranded, and it won't get him or his car home. The company would not pay for genuine GM parts (like for like) but only cheap, Chinese garbage offered through Auto Zone. It would not pay for everything necessary to complete the repair to an industry standard, such antifreeze/coolant because it is classified as "miscellaneous," which is not a covered item but necessary for the repair (When the water pump failed, the cooling system lost every drop of coolant.)
Customer service is horrible. You experience excessive hold times and forget negotiating with the claims department or even discussing the issue with the claims representative as he'll just disconnect the call. The company has no regard for the customer and his time, and it does EVERYTHING it can to cut corners and pay as little as possible on the claim leaving the customer with a LARGE out of pocket expense outside the deductible. The company took almost a month to authorize the repair, leaving my friend stranded out of town in Phoenix, 1,400 miles from his home city!
Of the $2,700.00 bill, OX CAR CARE paid $519.00, sticking my friend with the difference. So, not only is he out a full years’ worth of payments toward an over $4,000 bill for its top-tier, Platinum coverage (2-years’ worth of payment for 5-years’ worth of coverage), but the money he had to pay out of pocket directly to the mechanic to satisfy the repair bill.
If decide to buy a policy, do NOT use a checking account or debit card to pay the monthly warranty payment but use a credit card so you can dispute the charges for product/services not received should you cancel. Furthermore, the only good extended warranties are those offered by the dealership at the time of purchase of a new car or certified, pre-owned.
OX CAR CARE IS A SHAM AND A SCAM! The owners are making their millions because they are scamming the consumer and NOT PAYING LEGITIMATE CLAIMS. They should be sued for breach of contract, misrepresentation, theft, deception, and fraud! If you have a policy with OX CAR CARE, I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU CANCEL YOUR POLICY TO SAVE YOUR MONEY BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT ONLY PAY FOR THE WORTHLESS WARRANTY BUT THE REPAIR BILL, TOO! SHAME ON YOU, OX CAR CARE! YOU SUCK!”
“I needed to have my vehicle towed. After waiting 2 hrs i called back. They hadn't dopatched the call for assistance. After calling bavk gave.ne a 2 hr time frame. Wasted 4 hrs.couldnt even file a complaint. I am very unhappy. Diana B”
“This website shows a 3 star average for Ox. I went through 6 pages ans saw one 5 star rating. The writer doesn't know how to spell or write a complete sentence. Where the hell are the ratings above 1 star that make these thieves a 3 star average. I viewed all of the 2024 replies. All were negative. What a joke. I just saw their current ad on TV. There has to be a law against them being able to put it on TV.”
“My car would not start so I took it to the shop, mechanic said I need a new starter. Filed a claim with ox and they denied me saying it wasn't covered. I called the company and couldn't get ahold of anyone for days. When I finally reached someone it was someone from corporate and they told me tens of thousands of complaints habe been made against the company especially in regards to paying out for repairs. I was told they habe lost the BBB acredditation and I would be receiving a refund. They offered me a new policy with line 5 and told me I would habe to bring my car directly to the dealership. I don't know what happened but in my opinion they're crooks just out to get your money. Stay away...”
“With all the negative and true reviews
Their should be a class action law suit under way as soon as possible!! The company should be sued out of business. They are fraud!”
“My contract agent Jonathan Moore. I told him on a recorded line that my truck actual mileage was 112262 miles. The last service was 110080.He made the contract out for 110000 miles. And I had a problem with my truck carried it to the shop. Shop made a claim. And the claim was denied. Because of the 110000 miles he made the contract out for. This is what it is.
They are saying. The truck already had 110080 miles only before the contract was made. In the contract it's made out for 110000 miles. They are saying. I hit the problem before I took out the Warranty. But my truck had 112262 miles on it. And
I carried my truck to the shop with 113165 miles on it. This oxcarcare company straight out con.Me. BEWARE OF FRAUD!!!!”
