“Awful company! Please avoid, I wish I had read the opinions before I hired it.
I used it to send 3 boxes to Spain, I paid customs and an enhance insurance. The boxes were retained in customs and returned to England. After weeks of emailing the absolute useless agents, because there is no telephone number (and now I understand why) I finally got the boxes back in England after 9 weeks. They were absolutely destroyed, with many things broken and some others missing. Parcel Compare blamed me as I should have known that Spain didn’t receive any parcels from Uk due to brexit (I thought that was THEIR job) and they didn’t pay for the broken items because the enhance insurance does not cover anything apparently. They even had the cheek to offer me £15 credit to use within 10 days! For what? To break me more things and steal more money???
So after 3 months of dealing with this disgusting company, the boxes are not in Spain, I had to throw away the broken things and I couldn’t do anything with the missing things. I basically wasted my money and time.

“I used Parcel Compare for sending my parcel to Slovakia.
It was picked up on the 6th of April 2021
It was birthday presents for my cousin’s kids. Nothing unusual.
I was tracking my parcel regulary and tracking was saying ‘in transit’.
As parcel was in transit for a few weeks I contacted Parcel Compare and they said receiver didnt clear customs and the parcel is being sent back to me, in a cheeky way they also sent me an invoice for paying again to have the parcel returned.
Receiver and me never knew about customs duty as nobody notified us. They do not accept their failure and clear mistakes. How should I know we need to pay for customs with no contact regarding this customs charge and on their website saying ‘in transit’!
It is the 9th of May 2021 and still my parcel is “in transit” and they are asking me to pay for it to be delivered back to me!
I found their service very unpleasant. Its sounds cheap but in the end is double the price and your parcel will not be delivered

“This is possibly the worst service I have ever dealt with. Do not, and I will reiterate that, do not use this service. On the 7th of December someone was meant to pick up my parcels and it took me 4 rebookings and 11 days later to get someone to pick them up on the 18th of December, for which I was charged extra money for rebooking the service. The packages were meant to arrive latest by the 25th of December. In the end only one of them arrived 5 days late and the other still has no arrived (after 5 months). They have now made me pay 40 pounds extra because suddenly one of the packages did not have an e-mail address attached to it, which I was forced to pay as they would dispose of my items if not.”

As with others I correctly stated the weight and size of my parcel - take with UPS via Parcelcompare for £28 - and was then charged a further £56 without warning or notification three weeks later. A scam; the payment was taken on a Friday afternoon at 16:30 and the website associated with the PayPal payment comes us a blocked by FraudAction. Avoid at all costs!”
“I used Parcel Compare, as they appeared to offer a reasonably-priced service, using TNT as the carrier. The complete collection and delivery service came to £69.84. My parcel was exactly 187cm x 74cm x 26cm, and its weight, 34 kilos. I actually generously overstated the weight at 40 kilos to allow for e.g. any weight fluctuation through dampness etc. 10 days later, I have received an e-mail claiming that TNT had audited the measurements of the consignment, and found that the ‘volumetric weight’ was not as I had stated. In other words, I had mis-stated the dimensions of the package, and was now liable for another £40. As with all my hapless fellow Parcel Compare service-users, I was told if I wanted to challenge this, I would need to provide photographs of the parcel, (that had now long gone), complete with tape measure in the picture to demonstrate the size! They of course know full well that no-one will have any such photos of their consignment!! These people appear to be scammers, and they will get no more from me. I urge anyone reading this, in a similar situation, to put a block on their bank account immediately as I have done. This is while a permanent block on Parcel Compare is being set up (it takes 24 hours at my bank, during which time you are still liable for any money removed by the company).”
“After payment went through, all details disappeared from the screen and the dashboard showed no payment and no parcels. Complaints department only accessible by snailmail. I have sent a complaint but after reading these reviews, am not hopeful of getting a useful response. Watchdog here we come!”
“They made a mistake with the amount they charged me for sending a very large but lightweight parcel then tried to charge me nearly 4 times as much by saying that I input the incorrect details - even though my invoice showed the correct volume Weight. Don’t use them.”
“Never ever use this company ! They delayed in printing my labels recieved the morning when collecting the parcel they then sent it to Spain were it supposed to be going then it got returned as someone ticked the wrong box and classed it as business to business it took nearly 3- weeks to be returned and parcel compare was not helpful and couldn’t tell me were my parcel was I only found out through ringing export DPD who told me they had the wrong labels. I had to refund the buyer his money so lost the sale then thought I would claim for the postage back - the cheek of parcel compare are trying to bill ME for the returned item absolute joke of a company .you cannot speak to them only though a message and they chose when they want to speak to you stay well clear from these idiots ! I have saved the labels as I would like to pursue this claim !”
“Do not use this company! I paid a lot of money to return a shower screen that was packaged exactly the same way that I received it. Do not pay extra for their cover. The Company UPS refused to compensate for breaking and disposing of my package and did not show any proof that they did what they said. Will never use them again and have not only lost over £250 for the shower screen but paid the postage (nearly £40) to send it. This company should not be used by anyone and I did not even want to leave one star.”
“Sent a parcel to France on 26th February and was given a delivery date of 2nd March this year. The parcel has not been delivered yet and is apparently stuck in Paris Roissy International Airport for "Customs checks". Contacted Parcel Compare and they do not offer to help at all. Awful Customer service!! I was told to ask the recipient in France to contact Roissy, for her to describe what is inside the parcel! It was a surprise parcel so gutted that she had to do this! When she called Roissy she had to give some customs codes that I had already supplied. Apparently, she should never have called herself but ParcelCompare should have done the chasing!! Also they said that they should not give delivery dates of 5 days to France and it takes longer than this. So many emails to their rubbish customer services reps later, and still the parcel is not delivered and still ParcelCompare does NOTHING!! Looking at official complaint now but they are making but so hard to complain and impossible to talk to someone. The parcel is insured with an enhanced cover but hard to get the money back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THIEVES, LIARS AND USELESS!!!!”
“The parcel was supposed to arrive before Christmas, and I was given a date for delivery of 18th December, for a delivery to France. The parcel didn't arrive and when I queried it on the 20th or 21st was told that it was held for an address query. Bear in mind that on the booking you have to put their address, your address, their phone number, your phone number, both email addresses, and nobody contacted us nor did we have any means to contact them. After Christmas the recipients left the address and came home. 2 months later (I had complained right after Christmas) I was contacted asking for customs codes for the items in the parcel, and told them that they had not been needed at the time as it was within the Brexit interim period. They ignored my message and eventually told me that they would return the parcel to me at a cost of around £14, which I declined. Several more emails were exchanged and eventually I found today that they had debited my Paypal account to the tune of over £21. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY”
