“Nothing good to say about ParcelCompare. Valuable goods not delivered as promised. No means of making contact by phone. Tracking information unhelpful. Still waiting”
“INCOMPETENT. FRAUD. AVOID.
Why do I have to give them 1 star ? They don't deserve any stars at all. I made a simple booking and they totally f*cked it up.
First they changed the shipper I had booked without asking. Then they failed to provide a revised tracking number, making the shipment impossible to track. Then they incorrectly entered customs value, making the value 48 times what it should be. 16 days after making a booking, the shipment has still not left the UK - should have been delivered within 5 days.
They take no responsibility for their mistakes or the unauthorised changes to the booking or the delay, and have refused any compensation.
Next stop my solicitor and the Small Claims Court.”
“FRAUD. SCAM. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Booked with Parcel Compare for parcels to be shipped to Australia by UPS. Easy for them to confirm and to take my money. Then they totally f*cked it up by firstly changing the shipper to DHL without telling me. Then failed to advise of a different tracking number so the parcels could not be tracked. Then messed up the parcel value for customs, making it worth 48 times the actual value. 15 days after making the booking the parcels have still not left the UK, Parcel Compare refusing to take any responsibility and have refused any compensation. Next stop my solicitor and the Small Claims Court - I advise others to do the same if you have been stupid enough to use Parcel Compare. Hopefully you will read all the reviews and avoid these thieving scumbags.”
“I booked a collection with parcelcompare, despite waiting in all day the collection did not happen, it was then too late to contact them. The following day the only option I was given was to cancel the collection and I had to pay a fee, even though it was not my fault. I will definitely not be using again or recommending! I would have given no stars but unfortunately this was not an option!”
“Absolutely shocking!!! Courier did not come (this house is an office an someone is always here).
To rebook the collection date you have to pay the same fee. Very disturbing service. Will never use again!!”
“Courier did NOT show up, yet claimed they attempted the collection. I was outside the building the whole time waiting for them.
I resorted to dropping of parcel at a designated outlet.
This company charges for collection, and refused to give a refund claiming that driver said I was not available.
AVOID USING THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR £4 COLLECTION CHARGE!!!”
“I need next day delivery of a 50kg parcel (coffee machine). I booked with Parcel compare for collection and delivery the day after. After waiting in all day it had not been collected. I called TNT who were their shipment company and they said they had no record of this transaction so it definitely wasn't going to be collected that day. I needed to honour my promise of delivery next day to my eBay buyer so had to move this 50kg coffee machine myself into the car and drive all the way from Suffolk to Waltham Abbey. I looked in vain for a telephone number for Parcel compare, tried their Live chat which was not working and wrote many, many emails from their website but to date no reply. I am seeking a full refund as did not do as they advised. What a shambles! I wish I had read the Trustpilot reviews before I booked.”
“Avoid like the plauge. They claim you only have 30 days to query a missing parcel dispite UPS infoming us no such time limit exists. A parcel i sent to Japan worth £750 has just gone missing. The buyer contacted me on day 39 to say it hadn't arrived. I got straight in touch with Parcelcompare to find out what was going on. I was informed by Melanie Miller that they wouldn't even look into this because it was after the 30days. So a £750 parcel goes missing, the £90 postage and insurance you paid if forfeit, all because you are 9 days late to query the whereabouts of a parcel that you had no idea was missing until then and had paid insurance to protect against this exact thing!
Scam company, will be taking this further.”
“complete and utter scam. paid for a 48hr service and it took 10 days...it was my passport and i miss my flight and had to pay £133 to change the ticket. ticket basically went back and forth all over europe before it actaully got to me...absolutely ridiculous.”
“ParcelCompare is the worst delivery company we have ever use and would not recommend it to anyone. We sent a parcel to Indonesia using ParcelCompare. We have paid all fees of £220.00 in advance but when the parcel arrived in Indonesia, the receiver will was requested to pay more than 50% extra to get the parcel (£140.00) which is in Indonesia, this fee will be more than 1 month salary for my niece who actually has e good career as a qualified midwife. This requested payment is more than the value of the contents of the parcel which is second hand baby cloths. In fact the insurance of the parcel was for value max £100.
We emailed to Customer Service of ParcelCompare for assistance and they were not willing to assist in solving the problem, they only gave us a reference to information that wasn't included within the form which we couldn't find) and to check a link to a blog???
Not much help and certainly not customer friendly after the event and not highlighted as a concern before entering in the contract.
The additional payment requested by receiver is not acceptable with no offer of support in helping to resolve the problems.
Their Customer Services did nothing help to solve the problem but asked us to contact other courier for which they partner with in Indonesia "DHL", therefore should be their divisional internal company problem.
We used this company as the international carrier which boasted and promoted themselves throughout the internet, newspaper adverts etc. ParcelCompare should be responsible for the parcel from collection from our home in England to the receiver overseas in Indonesia (we did not choose to use DHL to send our parcel, ParcelCompare did thus their company business choice we were not involved or consulted with this choice).
We were expected better from a company with such standing, professionally managed with delivery and customer support.
We and the recipient are totally devastated with what should have been a happy occasion with the birth of a baby.”
“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER
It was only after a parcel that I sent was so badly damaged it wasn't recognisable that I contacted this company trying to claim as I had paid for extra insurance. They did not want to know. First of all they started asking for photographs of how badly the item was damaged and when I sent these they said they needed more and more....oh and more. I then read the reviews. God, I wish I'd read these before I parted with my money. As 99.9% of the reviews read, they told me to get lost and offered me £15 good will voucher...to spend with them!!!
Pay extra and go to a courier direct. They are nothing but a set of con artists with no contact number. However, I haven't finished with this yet....”
“This dishonest company does not really insure your package when you pay extra for insurance against damages...it pockets the money and then leaves you high and dry when your package is damaged!”
“I used the parcel compare website and it came back with a good price for sending a parcel to Italy with DPD.
My boyfriend waited in all day for the parcel to be collected and it never was. DPD had not been passed the details.
In the end I paid £10 and cancelled the order.
Months later they read my bad review on trust pilot and so decided to get in touch to try to help. They then reported my review and had it taken down and have said that I am not a real customer!
Do not use these people!!!!!”
“Parcel posted on 4 July never delivered I complained they said they would investigate took 10 days to offer me £15 credit to use them again which is never going to happen - I contacted them via Twitter and they blocked me which is a pathetic excuse for customer services - parcel status currently reads claim code issued but not to me must be parcelcomapre who are not passint it on to me - it's best to pay that little bit extra for the honesty of the Post Office
of the post office”
“FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!!!
I contacted police who are not interested they say its a civil matter regarding a disagreement of the weight of a parcel however this is much bigger than one parcel, this company is stealing thousands upon thousands of pounds from vunerable customers.
I sent a 15kg exhaust the dimension were exact, i was given a quote of £35 to send it next day delivery via UPS, 11 days later i get an email saying the parcel weighed 40kg!!! And that it was 6kg over my stated 34kg weight???
I have never stated any parcel ive sent is anywhere near 34kg and my exhaust (fujitsubo rmo1a) weighed exactly 15kg packed.
This company has now forced an idditional £54 charge ontop for an outragious claim,
An say they will steal it from my bank in 7 days time if i dont provide pictures of proof from a parcel sent and delivered 11 days ago!?, i am absolutely shocked beyond belief to see how many others they have done this too, reporting it to the police will do nothing its a 'civil matter', as far as im concerned this is fraudulent, they are purposely setting out to lie for financial gain, all funds have been blocked by my bank, if this has happened to you phone your bank immediately and seek a solicitors help,
Disgusting company!!!

“Waited an entire day for my parcel to be collected, but it was a driver no-show. I contacted DPD to be told that no information re. my parcel had been forwarded to DPD from Parcelcompare. I cancelled immediately (having read a string of negative reviews and the abysmal way this company deals with its clients). Re-booked with DPDlocal, who collected the parcel 10h later. Customer care (use this term loosely) full of rubbish. If they take 1p of my original fee that I will be taking them to the Small Claims court. Avoid!”
“Dreadful. Do not use.
A week after depatch I contacted Parcelcompare as the website had “returned to shipper”
Despite this no one had contacted me to inform me where my were documents.
Now despite several attempts, my e mails have been unanswered, so still no wiser as to their whereabouts.”
“This follows a previous review by me - just to add that, on top of regarding parcelcomapre as a scam company, my advice would be to arrange parcel delivery direct with a carrier...when arranging via a 3rd party such as parcelcompare, if there's a problem, neither parcelcompare nor the carrier will accept any responsibility - parcelcomapre will blame the carrier and the carrier will say that, because the delivery was booked via a 3rd party, they can't deal with it directly, you have to go back to the 3rd party company (who then blames the carrier!!!). So, as you can see, a nightmare ensues where you get caught in no-man's land and cannot resolve the issue!!!!”
