“WARNING DO NOT USE.
Like many other reviewers on here I have been caught unaware by Parcel Compares mis-selling scam. Obtained a quote online for £48.30. Parcel collected and delivered then few days later receive invoice for further £57.53 claiming dimensions were wrong so further payment due taking total amount to £105.83!! Parcel compare provide no evidence and instead try and put the burden of proof on the customer to prove the dimensions of the parcel by taking photos of the actual parcel. This is impossible as its been sent. I even had the recipient of the parcel confirm its dimensions but Parcel Compare advised that isnt evidence they accept.
I have reported them to Trading Standards too.”
“Do not use this company, use a direct delivery firm or Royal Mail
They will charge you a surcharge stating the measurements you provided were wrong, however they cannot provide proof of this themselves. You can only appeal by sending photographic proof of your measurements which no one would have.
Total scam.
Have reported to trading standards as this ‘company’ should not be able to trade.”
“Sent a parcel to Germany containing a few small gifts , not expensive items , the postage cost £15 , my friend never received the parcel , I complained about the parcel missing , then parcel compare replied saying the parcel will be returned to me as the address was wrong -(which it wasn’t )- the parcel arrived a few weeks ago , then out of the blue an email saying I had to pay £25.87 for the returned parcel , and before I could argue the money was taken from my account , illegal ? I thought companies were not allowed to keep your details ?
Fuming .
Will never recommend or use them again.”
“Never use this company. Book direct with courier. My item arrived unpackaged and severely damaged and they wont accept responsibility. Worst service i hve ever received.”
“Sent a parcel with them via UPS. Updated saying it had been damaged and discarded at senders request. I had never spoken with them, and when I have contacted to get info, they avoid all questions and refuse to answer. Took 6 weeks of constant emails and chasing to get the standard " you are not eligible for compensation". Tushar Sharma is in escalations and they are thieves and scammers. Reported to trading standards”
“As per the reviews below exactly the same. Provided my measurements checked 3 times. All correct but now been hit with a surcharge for no reason. This is a SCAM business and it is obvious that they are doing the same thing over and over again to effectively double their profits.”
“The company is bunch of lying and misleading people.
They are charging for what they wants and not taking to account any photos and proofs! Do not use this company and they are stilling money form you!”
“I used this company to return an item. I provided them with the exact dimensions and postage addresses. Total cost being £16
1 week after delivery, which was completed by UPS, I received an email from PC stating I had provided them with incorrect measurements (roughly 10% incorrect apparently) stating they are going to collect additional costs of £60!!!
Thankfully I have an identical item at home and had taken photographs of the measurements I had taken, with the postage label attached before it was sent.
** WARNING ** -If you don't do this, they will automatically take whatever costs they dream up
I have appealed the charge, supplying the measurements and photos. They have replied, ignoring the fact I sent the photos, stating the total item is above 300cm (2x width + 2x length) and is 303cm apparently, meaning I have to pay a large package surcharge (LPS) which is the majority of the £60.
I have searched their website, which gives several different LPS values and is completely misleading and unclear.
Using their LPS calculator, the package measurements I supplied were always above 300 (316) and the new measurements take it a few higher than than.
Thus meaning the initial calculation by them was incorrect and a LPS should have always been applied, so they are trying to bill me for their error.
Again I have composed another email in reply, which they have ignored the majority of the content, despite me supplying several screen shots of misleading info on their website and pointing out the above. They have simply replied stating it is over 300?!?!?
Absolutely disgusting service. I am currently raising the matter with trading standards.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!!”
“Says my parcel has moved from the drop-off store = 14 days after i dropped it off!!
I paid £25 for delivery and its not moved an inch!!
No way to get hold of them apart from email - WONT USE AGAIN!”
“Can not contact them at all !
Keep sending e mail but no reply
Phone number non existent
Chat non existent
More expensive than going direct to companies.”
“I should have searched online review before made purchase sending parcels using parcelcompare, I am glad I used Paypal and was able to get my money back. This website is a scam.I paid to send my parcels but no service offered at all.”
“Do not use . They broke my item and then took extra money from my account claiming my parcel weighed more then what I stated . However my argument was if that was the case they should’ve gave me the option to if I want to proceed still or not which they didn’t . . I can’t believe they took extra money from my account I’m fuming ..”
“Such a brilliant service. Dropped our parcel off at a drop point 1 mile from home. It was delivered to our daughter in New Zealand 6 days later ! No problems, no stress and no fuss. Thank you ParcelCompare🙏”
“ParcelCompare was quick to answer my questions and concerns by email. There doesn't seem to be a telephone contact number, but the email communication was prompt and accurate. My parcel was picked up and delivered exactly as quoted. Much cheaper than other services. Thank you.”
“A total scam. My parcel took 9 days to travel 50 miles with UPS and arrived damaged, contents damaged and over half of them missing. NO customer service, no way to start a claim not even a CS phone number on their website. The number I was calling previously no longer attive. Do NOT use them”
“AVOID !!! Parcel Compare & employ Tushar Sharma.
Charging £27 to deliver parcel to Europe. Was stuck in France for ... custom?!
It was returned after more then a full month and after that, they deducted £30 again (this time for returning the parcel) without my approval from my Barclays account.
First time I experience such stilling.
Do not give information regarding the bank card!!!
AVOID this junk Co.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Absolutely awful service. Parcel collected 22 March with website saying next day out for delivery, for the next three days website saying out for delivery. Given this was a large parcel whose contents were expensive I kept on chasing up, had to raise a claim which was supposed to be resolved within ten days. Parcel delivered 7 April, I told the company they hadn’t informed me! Their website gave information which eventually said it had been delivered to a village 10 miles away from its intended destination. I was given verbal assurances by phone the parcel was being delivered that day, website said in transit, local parcel centre said they hadn’t received when website said they had, what is totally wrong is they are not covered by an industry ombudsman. Do not use them. Refusing to give refund.”
“DO NOT USE this company, their behaviour is appalling. they have taken money out of my account without my permission, and now I have to spend time escalating this legally and deal with all the stress that comes with it.
Not worth the hassle for a few pounds cheaper to send a parcel, And you can't talk to anyone if anything needs resolving.
Will not recommend this company to anyone.”
“Fraudsters, Stole from my account!!! I used them to send a Parcel to spain, £19 delivery paid with Debit Card, as no other company seemed to send to spain, a DPD driver collected the item on the 12th April, and then returned it on the 13th April, I contacted ParcelCompare to find out the reason and was told the "escalation team" would get back to me within 4 hours. I had no response, and after a week of repeated emails and no replies, I assumed it was a scam and refunded my buyer for the item and the postage, leaving me £19 out of pocket. I then get an email on the 11th may, telling me they have taken £125.94 from my account, without authorisation, to cover "return fees", with an arbitrary invoice with no real information attached. This has to be illegal, they surely cannot just remove money from my bank without authorisation. It's the equivalent of a tradesman helping himself to your wallet to cover the cost of his lunch. Avoid at all cost, complete fraudsters.”
“I wouldn't even rate them one star if I could help it.
Complete scam company. On the 29th of march they picked up my parcel to be delivered to germany- scheduled on the first of April.
On the 3rd of MAY it was still in their German customs, I'd received no updates and they claimed I filled out the customs invoices wrong, and said I didn't include tariff numbers (when the TNT service says on their website that tariff numbers aren't needed, hence why I went with them)
They're now demanding that I pay the return charge after multiple emails from me asking them to not bother and I don't want it back.
Low and behold the parcel has returned, with half of the items broken/useless to me and are still demanding I pay.
Do not waste your money with this company. They're disgusting.”
