They are just thieves with license, i have no idea how that is possible in a lawful country. Their customer service are practically toddlers without any clue what Customer service is all about. They don't have a contact number to ring. You can only write on their website and hope to God they will respond. My item was lost, after wasting my time for over 2 months they closed the case with no compensation. The courier (UPS in this case another company to avoid) told me they have paid compensation to ParcelCompare but ParcelCompare will not pay the compensation to me. Absolutely disgusting

If you find a good price with any courier on ParcelCompare you must go directly to the courier company and buy directly from the courier ( price is usually the same) because if anything goes wrong the courier company will not deal with you if you buy through ParcelCompare.”

No communication on where the parcel is or how to get it to reach destination, appalling customer service (when they bother replying) and embarrassingly they blame the shipment companies.
A month later, and 15-20 conversations later, with customer support, the parcel came back with an EXTRA CHARGE CHARGED ON CREDIT CARD without authorisation.

“Like others, this company failed to deliver my parcel, as they didn't text or email the recipient in Europe regarding customs.
Then, without informing me about whether I wanted the item returned and whether there were costs involved, they returned the parcel to my neighbour and charged me automatically for the 'return costs' which amounted to even more than the initial delivery cost-which I have still not been refunded for!
They have breached the law and their own terms and conditions. Beware of this company, they're running a complete scam.”

10 days after UPS collected my item Parcelcompare emailed me to say that the parcel had been audited by UPS and the weight was infact double the weight i had quoted. I had to provide photogrpahic evidence of the additional weight or they would charge me an additional £56 (original cost only £20).
Clearly i could not provide a photo of me weighing the item but semt them a screenshot of the product details thay clearly should the item in the package being slightly less than the packaged weight i had quoted.
A few days later after i appealed, they came back and said the item was also 3.6m long rather than the 1m i had quoted, and again demanded a photo of the item with a tape measure next to it.
How the UPS driver who collected managed to pick up and put in his truck, all on his own, a 3.6m 40kg item is beyond me.
I can only assume that this is nothing more than a scam. Wow a low delivery cost and then take out of your account a massive surcharge later when holding your parcel hostage.”
“I had to send a parcel to Romania. £35 to be pick up by TNT. I've printed the labels and the invoices, all good so far. What I spotted was that the address on the delivery label doesn't match with the delivery address from the shipper's copy and customs invoice (the building number was missing from the delivery label), fact which is so doggie as I put al details good. So I've cancelled the shipment but even though with the shipment cancelled the driver arrived to pick up my parcel. I'm waiting for refund.”

Like many other reviewers on here I have been caught unaware by Parcel Compares mis-selling scam. Obtained a quote online for £48.30. Parcel collected and delivered then few days later receive invoice for further £57.53 claiming dimensions were wrong so further payment due taking total amount to £105.83!! Parcel compare provide no evidence and instead try and put the burden of proof on the customer to prove the dimensions of the parcel by taking photos of the actual parcel. This is impossible as its been sent. I even had the recipient of the parcel confirm its dimensions but Parcel Compare advised that isnt evidence they accept.
I have reported them to Trading Standards too.”

They will charge you a surcharge stating the measurements you provided were wrong, however they cannot provide proof of this themselves. You can only appeal by sending photographic proof of your measurements which no one would have.

“Sent a parcel to Germany containing a few small gifts , not expensive items , the postage cost £15 , my friend never received the parcel , I complained about the parcel missing , then parcel compare replied saying the parcel will be returned to me as the address was wrong -(which it wasn’t )- the parcel arrived a few weeks ago , then out of the blue an email saying I had to pay £25.87 for the returned parcel , and before I could argue the money was taken from my account , illegal ? I thought companies were not allowed to keep your details ?

I had never spoken with them, and when I have contacted to get info, they avoid all questions and refuse to answer. Took 6 weeks of constant emails and chasing to get the standard " you are not eligible for compensation". Tushar Sharma is in escalations and they are thieves and scammers. “I used this company to return an item. I provided them with the exact dimensions and postage addresses. Total cost being £16
1 week after delivery, which was completed by UPS, I received an email from PC stating I had provided them with incorrect measurements (roughly 10% incorrect apparently) stating they are going to collect additional costs of £60!!!
Thankfully I have an identical item at home and had taken photographs of the measurements I had taken, with the postage label attached before it was sent.

I have appealed the charge, supplying the measurements and photos. They have replied, ignoring the fact I sent the photos, stating the total item is above 300cm (2x width + 2x length) and is 303cm apparently, meaning I have to pay a large package surcharge (LPS) which is the majority of the £60.
I have searched their website, which gives several different LPS values and is completely misleading and unclear.
Using their LPS calculator, the package measurements I supplied were always above 300 (316) and the new measurements take it a few higher than than.
Thus meaning the initial calculation by them was incorrect and a LPS should have always been applied, so they are trying to bill me for their error.
Again I have composed another email in reply, which they have ignored the majority of the content, despite me supplying several screen shots of misleading info on their website and pointing out the above. They have simply replied stating it is over 300?!?!?
Absolutely disgusting service. I am currently raising the matter with trading standards.
