“Having received a letter from Vauxhall fir a product recall, I booked for the work to be done at the Vauxhall dealership in aberdeen as stipulated. It took 2 months to get a 'slot' for the work to be done, and before anything else they told me the repair would take all day, despite the letter stating 3 hours. I arrived this morning at 9.15am as requested, and then proceeded to wait 45mins to give someone my keys. Having requested a courtesy car as I have a baby I was mortified to have to rely on my sister in law, who has 2 very young children to wait for me - without any explanation re why I had to wait. Sadly 1 poor customer decided to ask for help, she had been waiting longer, to which the employee muttered under her breath, "that's not my f@#£ing job for f#@k sake" - I therefore waited a further 10mins before asking for assistance. Finally I got my keys passed to someone, which took all of 2mins and was advised my car would be ready about 3pm. Sadly 3pm came and went, and as I was once again relying on my sister in law for help, I called the dealership to ask when my car would be ready - they advised 4.15pm. So duely I arrived to pick my car up at 4.15pm, and saw my car ready in the car park. I advised the man on 'reception' that I had my sick baby in my sister in laws car, and asked how long I would wait. He said I'll get you seen straight away. However i had to wait 25mins before having to get my baby out of the car, as my sister in law had to get home for her wee girl. Understandably anniyed at this point I was surprised to finally get my keys back, with excuses that the mechanics were at fault - frankly untrue - the car was ready and waiting! Called to make a complaint and the manager was to call me back as he was busy - still waiting unsurprisingly! Would avoid this garage at all costs!”
“After deciding on a car I had delay after delay with the paperwork. The salesman was not returning my calls, to keep me informed, as to what was happening. When I did finally go to collect the car, and was ready to leave, it wouldn't move and was making an awful noise as the salesman had miss fueled the car,which he denied. After being left in the waiting room for an hour with no information, one of your mechanics, who happens to lives in the same area as us, came and offered to give us a lift home which we accepted but left me with no car for 24hrs. Being a childminder a car is critical to my business and caused me some difficulties. The following day, I again had to call to see when my car was going to be available, I had to ask if I could have a loan car as none was offered, was told they would call me back in 2 minutes and didn't hear anything for about 3 hrs when they called to say my car was ready. I had to ask for the car to be delivered to me as I had no way of getting to dealership. Overall I am very disappointed with the service we received.”
“The service from the salesman and sales team, was very poor. They did not keep us informed during the process of purchasing the car.
The sales man, always stated Ït was not his fault" no matter what the issue was.
The final insult was when going to collect the vehicle, they had miss fuel the car and then appeared not to know what to do. They left my wife and I sat in the waiting area, with no way of getting home, as they had already taken our old car off us. They also did not tell us what they were planning to do. We had a friend who happen to be there give us a lift home after waiting for over an hour and no updates from the sales team.
The mechanics did a brilliant job sorting the sales mistakes and did get us our car the following afternoon. Having changed fuel and fuel filter, and cleaned entire fuel system. Even though the sales people still denied the problem was miss fuelling of the car.
So as you can read not a happy customer at all”
“Shopping at Peter Vardy was good. Nice hospitality. Always offered a coffee etc. John the salesman was not at all pushy. We managed to find exact car we were looking for and was quite surprised that we were able to get this on budget exactly. Now proud owner of a wee Adam Slam. My only comment I can make that would improve my experience is below.
During three time I was in the showroom prior to taking delivery of my new car it was discussed that I wanted my private plate on the car before I took it. The evening I took the car this was not done and I had to wait for somebody to make up the plate and then fit it.
I dont think the information had been picked up by the staff taking care of the delivery. I know the salesman put the required information in the file as this was also discussed during my second visit when I was signing my financial agreement.
I am still happy with my purchase and love the car very much. Thanks to everybody”
“This was my first time buying from Peter Vardy and it was a very easy and pleasant experience. My salesperson Gavin seemed like a very genuine guy and I didn't feel pressured like you do in other dealers. He let me take the car for a test drive before talking money, as with other dealers you need to basically buy the car before they let test drive it and then find out its not for you. I really like their approach and would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Before I collected my car it was given a thorough clean and some minor things tidied up. Very happy with it! My initial meeting with Kevin McCrum went very well and I was given options without pressure.
Handover, again mainly with Kevin was also a pleasant experience.
I deliberately held off writing this review as I had come across a couple of very small issues with the car and was keen to see how this would be resolved beforehand.
After bringing them to the attention of Kevin, I'm happy to say that these were resolved quickly, professionally and efficiently.
All in all a very good experience and a special thank you to Kevin for making it feel all the more personal, professional and welcoming.
