The most unprofessional service I have ever experienced. Asking for £1000 when they are unable to uphold a service. Lost out on a buyer due to themselves and their third party solicitor taking over 3 months to even make any contact. Complained even made by a Purplebricks working as their solicitor even said once when asking “I’m not superman, I have lots of work to do not just yours” I mean disgusting service. Then due to failing to sell our property with Purplebricks, we tried letting services. AGAIN lost our tenant which I found myself due to constantly ringing and telling her to withdraw and reapply over and over with the most unprofessional manner. I would highly recommend you AVOID THIS SERVICE!!!!

As a Surveyor I deal with a lot of estate agents. Never have I come across such unprofessional staff. I wouldn't like to be a client of theirs.

I made the mistake by paying up front to have my property put on the market. Once the photos were put on right move with their recommended price (despite me suggesting it should be lower), ZERO viewings and ZERO communication. I didn’t even know I could change the price myself. To top it all off the customer service response when I said there had been no communication “she added a note to say she had tried to get in touch”..em hello, no she didn’t and that’s your proof, not a call log or email verification? LOL. Anyway you get what you pay for I suppose. Really don’t recommend.

Letting - fake references accepted by PB, Guarantor same fake reference. Didn’t check that standing order was set up. Tenants breaching 4 main clauses in Lease Agreement including another couple living in the house.

If there was a possibility to give 0 star I would. One of the worst letting agencies i have ever dealt with, their customer service is rude an most of the time unhelpful, they rarely return any of your calls or emails and don’t provide any updates. They delayed the start of the tenancy several times due to incompetence or simply not caring about the tenant or the landlord. I am still waiting for them to release a tenancy agreement through DocuSign but nothing so far due to some technical issues they are not willing to acknowledge so the start of the tenancy keeps getting delayed for no good reason! I am writing this message at 6am EST out of pure frustration with how bad they are and to advise other people to NOT use purplebrick as a letting agent….

Simple, steer clear !! Not one decent lead...I complained..got a compete diatribe of guff... ending ...hope this helps..but hard luck you signed a contract and you will have to pay some £900. Plus... with absolutly no remorse..!! I sold through a local reputable company within weeks...not months..!! I have no choice but to pay... My advice DO NOT GO NEAR THEM... I think they should be investigated by ombudsman...

Poor customer service. House on the market for over a year. No help or advice. Just photos taken and left to it. Complained about it And got nothing but legal jargon telling us how they’ve for filled their legal obligation. Complete waste of time and money.

Avoid at all costs! I am at the end of a year long disaster with purple bricks! This is all about money making no care for you or your house sale! Zero communication from start to finish the agent did absolutely nothing for the money they charge literally a few photos posted to right move! No advice on viewing or recommendations on what could be done better I even had to ask them to come take new photos after the ones taken I could have done better myself! I had 4 viewings in the year is was up for sale with them! Promised a sale in 4-6 weeks a year later I am up with a estate agents already received more viewings in 2 weeks than purple bricks! Avoid like the plague if you sh*ty customer service or a fast sale!

I’m at the end of a 13 month horrendous experience with PB. Put the house on the market Aug 2020. Slow to sell despite lots of interest but sold Jan 2021. Took until June 2021 to be ready to exchange then last minute told us our buyers, buyer had pulled out. Didn’t come from PB, our buyer had to tell us. Our buyer also told us that PB were notified a month earlier but didn’t bother to pass on the message to anyone. Turns out they were a commercial company with a property portfolio who often pull out last minute - thanks for the heads up and due diligence PB! We decided to wait to see if our buyer could resell but made it clear we had to meet the Sept deadline for the stamp duty holiday. He resold quick to a first time buyer - great. Turns out PB solicitors hadn’t bothered doing any due diligence on his property first time round so a mountain or enquiries got thrown up including an issue with the title. This caused delays that magically disappeared when we threatened to pull out. August comes - PB told us everyone was aiming to complete mid August but solicitors for our buyer (through PB) were refusing to answer the phone or respond to our solicitor to confirm where things were up to. We start threatening to pull out if we don’t exchange in good time for the Sept deadline or get clear indication of what’s going on. First ultimatum passed -PB agent assured us they’re getting ready to exchange the following week and we’re nearly there but still nothing from solicitors. Mid week comes - our solicitor finally gets an email saying they’re working towards completion on 30th Sept. No mention of exchange. We made it clear we needed to exchange - by this point our faith in them was shot & we needed the legal protection afforded by exchange. Turns out these cowboys were hoping to string us along until the 30th to exchange & complete on the same day. Leaving us with zero legal protection, having to trust a firm that can’t even pick up the phone or engage with our solicitors. We’re not cash buyers and we’re in a chain of four people. It’s inappropriate, reckless and incompetent and what’s more - they didn’t even bother to tell us this was their plan. Just hoped we’d hang in there! Needless to say after 13 months of hell, thousands of pounds wasted and a mountain of emotional stress and anxiety, we pulled out. Feel awful, not our buyers fault but no point doing business with a firm proven to be incompetent, untrustworthy and unable to communicate. I had images of being sat there on the day of completion, in the moving van, house packed and my lawyer having to tell me she can’t get hold of anyone to exchange or complete. Save yourself the stress and heartache and don’t go near them with a barge pole.

Never ever use PB solicitors, they have delayed our sale by at least 6 weeks already. Refused to fill in forms requested by our solicitor & we've all had to nag them to get a move on!! Very very slow. Avoid!!

Purplebricks claim to be a 24/7 estate agent but we've been assigned an agent who works 3 days per week and there is no alternative contact. They are entirely passive - no interest in actually selling the house as they've been paid up front. I've had to rewrite the advert because the original they proposed was illiterate and inaccurate.

Please, please, please do not use Purple Bricks to let your property!!!!!! We did and it was a huge mistake. We let our newly refurbished rental property with Purple Bricks through their fully let management service and we were assured that the Tenancy Agreement was legally enforceable. Apparently that is not the case and, despite it being stated in the Tenancy Agreement, that the Tenants are obliged to keep the property clean and tidy my Property Manager told me that this is not the case and the 6 monthly inspections are only to check if we need to conduct any repairs from a maintenance perspective. We have concerns over the condition of the property, as the gardens which are visible from the road have not been maintained for months and despite us giving weeks of notice and requesting different times and dates the Tenants are refusing us entry and my Property Manager does not see this as an issue and refuses to help. After 6 months of trying to resolve matters through their Complaints Procedure we have had to refer to the Property Ombudsman. Please save your time and money and find another estate agents.

Idiotic people, rubbish service. We liked one of the property they advertised and we made an offer. Initially owner went with someone else. We forgot about property. Property came back into market, we offered higher price. 2 different agents from purple bricks starting chasing us for all documents. fair enough. They said they'll update us on the same day as owner is in rush to make decision. We waited for 4 days. Surprise, we noticed property has been sold to someone else. And these idiotic people from PurpleBricks didn't decide to negotiate or inform us whatsoever. So, we kept waiting for an update, Owner lost more money and we had to deal with these utterly idiot people named Caroline and Jason Vimpany. I was gonna give them a try for my own propery, but now I am gonna stay far far far away from them. NEVER USE THEM

If the market is really hot and your house will sell itself, Purple Bricks may be for you. If there is ANY effort required to sell your home, use another realtor. These guys are out to lunch. Your "realtor" comes and takes pictures and put the ad on their website (which takes 2 days apparently), they talk about curb appeal but fail to showcase it in the photos, they don't show you the photos or have you approve them and the first time you see them is on the ad. You then realize you have taken much better pictures of your home yourself. Then your "realtor" tells you that your business with him is now concluded. You must call the "customer support" line to make any changes or if you have questions or concerns. These people make zero effort to sell your home. My home was on the market for 42 days and there were 2 requests for showings. One was a NO SHOW and the other made an offer that they couldn't get financing for. Both were represented by Purple Bricks. People - In this case you get exactly what you pay for! Stay far far away from these jokers. "Real" realtors don't want to deal with them, in my opinion, and, given the choice between 2 equal homes, they will choose the other realtor every time and do their best to stay away from Purple Bricks as they are trying to undercut the others with their flat rates. Really, I would have saved about $5K, but I wasted 42 days of my time and the end result is my house didn't sell. I firmly believe another realtor would have sold my home in that period. Of course, Purple Bricks blamed the market "softening".

Very poor service! Tried PB a couple of years ago to sell a property, turned up 20 minutes late, spent less than 2 minutes looking around the flat, then 45 minutes selling PB! Needless to say I decided not to proceed any further on that occasion. Recently I was looking to rent a property, so I thought I would give PB another chance. Waste of time! This time the agent did not even turn up, said he was pinged, but then couldn’t be bothered returning my messages to reschedule. Contacted head office and was promised a call back…never materialised. They do not care about customers, only their money, if you do get a reasonable service it’s more by chance rather than an organised, professional business plan.

3 attempts now to get information on a property listed on their site. Not a single response to my enquiry. I feel dreadfully sorry for the seller who has entrusted this organisation to sell their property.

Anyone thinking of using Purple Bricks to sell your property be very careful. This shower took on the sale of a property for me 4.5 months ago and at 8pm on Sunday night inform me that the sale is not going ahead. Their salespeople try to get you to sell to property investors on their books at reduced prices. They advise you to use solicitors on their books that are beyond useless and through their incompetence you lose the the sale because your vendor is fed up of the speeds they work at. They are useless and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Purple bricks, what can I say other than you get what you pay for. If I ever spoke to my agent it was because I called him. My house sold itself and I ciukd have and did eventually value my giuse myself because it was under valued. A quick sale springs to mind. So if you want to do absolutely everything yourself then cheap and cheerful is what yoir looking for then Purple bricks is for you. Didn't even get a call when everything was finalised and we moved out of our house. Nothing not a word.
