The modern and innovative answer to an estate agents, we’re the revolution that the property market needed. Here at Purplebricks, we’re still ‘proper’ estate agents, we just do things a little differently to benefit our customers. We work longer, more flexible hours, we don’t charge commission and we let you take control as much or as little as you want. Our customers can’t get enough of this new way of selling, buying and renting property and praise the way we work after battling with the cons of traditional estate agents for too long. We know the world of property can be stressful, so all we’ve done is made it simple with great customer service and digital access to all the details and paperwork you need, 24 hours a day. Don’t just take our word for it as thousands of people each month leaving purplebricks reviews can’t be wrong. Real people, the usual processes, just done in a more efficient way, that’s how we work at Purplebricks.

If you understand the process of selling a house and can do all the leg work yourself, then great. The problem is you pay PB regardless if you sell your property or not. Viewings were pretty straight forward, simply becasue the viewers contacted me directly, but once I got the offer it quickly became a nightmare. I had to contact Purple bricks and try and find out who the agent was that was dealing with my property as the agent who was previously dealing with it left PB. no one made any attempt to contact me at all until I kicked off and demanded that I was contacted by someone at purple bricks. Eventually a new agent made contact with me, and rather than apologising for not bothering to do anything or even make contact with the solicitors or myself he stated that he felt he needed to "manage my expectations" incredibly rude man. Eventually I had to move to a totally differnt estate agent due to the fact that the new agent that had been assigned to me was incompetent and was doing absolutely nothing regarding the house sale, and in fact when it was investigated he even stated that he went out of his way to help me, which was a total lie, I barely had any contact with him at all and he would ignore my emails and phone calls. It was Weeks after the offer when I'd only then recieved my initial correspondence with the solicitors. I'm with a new agent who is over seeing the house sale now even after paying PB £999, but I've written that off as a massive mistake that I'll not make ever again. I don't care about the money, but I could have lost my buyer becasue of the hold ups. I've sold houses in the past and I've never had to change agents after receiving an offer on the house, but when I researched PB I quickly found that I wasn't the only person who had felt the need to change agents after an offer was recieved. In hindsight I should have used a smaller estate agents who have more of a vested interest in their customers and paid more because potentially loosing the buyer would have cost me more in the long term.

When buying off Purple bricks, beware I had an agent I caught out, not returning calls costing us 2000 pounds on extending our rental because of there negligence when buying. I do not recommend there online completion team, however they will convince you it’s quicker, however it took months with no chain at all. Be cautious, get your own legal team. Very frustrating and costly. We will Perdue a formal complaint. Mr and Miss Williams

Our family purchased a house listed through Purplebrick's. It's been the worst experience ever! Do NOT use Purplebricks to sell or buy a home. First they told us we could have a Sept 2 closing date. It ended up being Sept 17 leaving us homeless for two weeks. Then the closing date comes. Our lawyer finalizes everything on his end but the Purple Bricks lawyer does nothing on closing date. It is now September 18 and the house still hasn't official closed. Instead we are told by Purplebricks that we don't get the deed until we pay another $500 or we have to move out. We are already homeless because of them and now they do this. Our lawyer says that Purplebricks are the most crookidest company he's ever dealt with. Please save yourself a nightmare and use a better realtor. We are very unhappy with their service.

Absolute scam. Under valued house by £22,000. Untrained 'Local' Property agents. Everything that would make you run a mile is hidden in the electronic contract. I have been left with a debt, anxiety and a hole in the front lawn where their sale board had been.

Communication with purplebricks or purplepricks as most call them is appalling. the agent doesn't return my call. No communication with my solicitor. I am selling my house very well and progressing with a proper estate agent. Trying to buy a property through Purplebricks is a nightmare. I am at least 4 weeks behind due to non existent solicitor responses.

Just appalling. It's been about 2 months since my original complaint, and still nobody has contacted me from PurpleBricks. I've had to report them to the Property Ombudsman. Summary of my complaint, as a landlord: 1. Constant delays and lack of communication which led to loss of rental income. 2. Advised me to allow the tenants to live in my property WITHOUT a tenancy agreement, because they hadn't prepared the contract on time, after having already informed the tenants of the check-in date. 3. Got paid for check-in inventory, which they never did. 4. Kept a copy of the keys to the property, even after the tenants moved in. One of their AGENTS ENTERED THE PROPERTY UNANNOUNCED USING THE KEYS, WHILE THE TENANTS WHERE INSIDE AND SLEEPING.

Absolutely the worse estate agents ever. Can’t get hold of them when you ring. No help what so ever.

Got in touch with P.B. Had a query and rang the local rep. He said he'd ring after the weekend but didn't. Meanwhile I got in touch, discussed and had an evaluation with another agent - quick, smart, efficient, everything I needed including a printable valuation. Cancelled Purple Bricks, but ... they just didn't get the point and kept trying to set something up. I don't need big, complex, high tech, confused and confusing service. And people who don't get the point when I say, 'I've asked you to remove my data'.

Unfortunatly cant leave zero stars!! Here is my review from Trustpilot which was removed after a complaint from purplebricks, it appears they dont like bad reviews... Totally useless Totally useless. I was a cash buyer looking to view a property, they cancelled two viewings i had booked. Months after I have found and moved into another property the one I wanted to view is still for sale and I am constatntly being spammed with email messages about it. When you want to delete your account it is not straightforward as it should be and I had to go through live chat, i will see if that has worked or not next week. I would hate to be a seller dealing with these people, I wonder how many sellers are missing chances for a sale because of this. Had to repost the review as purplebricks didn't like it and had it removed. Property has still not sold. https://www.purplebricks.co.uk/property-for-sale/3-bedroom-detached-house-walpole-st-peter-wisbech-860317

Purple Bricks (PB) agent very keen & enthusiastic initially to secure our business, promising various things, reviews & regular, weekly contact etc. Absolute rubbish, in over 6 months we heard from him a small handful of times, mainly trying to convince us to reduce our property. We secured a sale & heard absolutely nothing from him or PB throughout. We moved 3 months ago & to date have heard nothing from agent or PB, not even how did the move go or good luck in your new home. Absolutely disgraceful service from agent & PB. Would never use them or recommend them.id rather oath a reliable local agent. Terrible experience from start to finish. False promises & abhorrent service at best.!

Do not use purple bricks for renting or buying. They are the worst business I have ever had to work with- lazy bunch of liars. If you want a reliable, honest and responsive estate agency this is not the choice for you. TERRIBLE.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! An absolute DISGRACE of a company: reluctant to even give 1 star, only there's no other option. Not sure I've ever dealt with a company as poor as this. Terrible communication (despite constant chasing), no follow-through, bad management, poor processes - the list goes on. Non-existent customer service; an absolute nightmare to deal with. "We know the world of property can be stressful, so all we’ve done is made it simple with great customer service and digital access to all the details and paperwork you need, 24 hours a day"...should actually read "We know the world of property can be stressful, and lucky for you we've decided to make it even more stressful by avoiding your calls, disregarding your emails, ignoring your queries, charging you a monthly premium for nothing and making you do all the work, 24 hours a day" A headache from beginning to end - you might as well be throwing your money in the bin. Completely agree with most of these comments; a joke of a company who are only out for your money. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. We was given false information in order to get our property onto the market. False claims of fast sales, huge customer base etc. We was led to believe and directly told by our estate agent, that it would be sold within a week. It didn’t sell despite being on the market for 4 months. When we changed to Connells, it was on the market for 2 days, and we had 4 viewings, 3 offers and then sold. The customer service is absolutely shocking, you don’t hear anything from them until they want their fee paid. I have argued and argued the fee and keep getting false information, lies and excuses pushed my way. No amount of commission saving, would ever allow me to use this company again. They are a headache from the start. They will lie to you, and rip you off.

I had an awful experience with PurpleBricks. I've never been treated this badly in business before and have been caused so much stress by this experience. I have a modern 2 bedroom flat in Vauxhall next to the River Thames. At the beginning, PurpleBricks were receptive and helpful, up to the point when I instructed them, then the quality of service dropped off the cliff. I messaged my estate agent multiple times and couldn't get a response for a long time. Then after escalating my complaint I didn't hear back from PurpleBricks for over 6 months, until (surprise surprise) they asked for the invoice to be settled. I had 1 viewing through PurpleBricks and in the same time I had loads of viewings and 5 offers through other agents. A stark difference I think you will agree. The quality of the advert they wrote was poor including multiple typos, incorrect information and I had to spend hours rewriting it before it went live online. When the invoice was due, they did eventually acknowledge my complaint and agreed with most of my complaints, however, offered me a insignificant discount. I've regretted going with PurpleBricks as I haven't sold my property through them, I've suffered much stress and wasted a lot of time battling with them to try and obtain a fair resolution which unfortunately didn't happen in my opinion.

Terrible firm. Masters of b...... t They actually call themselves experts. I am an expert in sniffing out b.....t Anyway all I wanted was access to rightmove. They seem to believe that they have influence over buyer and seller, indeed they have convinced themselves as such Laughable

STAY AWAY FROM THEM. This process was traumatic. We had over 3 weeks to get the paperwork sorted and move into our new flat. Any request that purplebricks made we fulfilled within a couple hours at most and were constantly sending emails concerned that no progress was being made as we were getting no replies. They waited until 1 week before move in to ask for the guarantor's details, which is outrageous given that we were asking if they wanted them sooner. Legal 4 Landords (the service they use for referencing) was beyond terrible. They mistakenly did not send out an email to my guarantor cause of a "fault in their system", further delaying the process. My guarantor completed their online forms within hours after receiving them. He was then the next working day asked for more, which he provided. In addition to access to his bank account, his most recent wage slips and contract of employment, they wanted an HR reference from a company on lockdown promptly, which was beyond anyone's control. We were nearly left without a flat and without a place to move our stuff as purplebricks said we had not passed sufficient checks (due to the HR department delaying) and were about to leave us homeless saying we could not move in on the planned moving date. They told us this 1 working day before our move in, leaving us no time to make plans. THANKFULLY our landlord is amazing and intervened to come to a solution and have us move in on the agreed date. They had over 3 weeks to get this sorted and because of their constant delaying we were nearly left without a flat. Outrageous. In their email they imply they won't allow you to review them anonymously, which I can only assume is a way to discourage people from speaking up. I don't even know if this will be made public.
