“What’s the point of RM TRACKING when you can’t track anything until it’s been delivered? Pull your socks up RM there’s someone right behind you happy to complete a decent delivery service.”
“I had a signed for delivery that was deposited last Weds afternoon (now following Tuesday) from a Bournemouth Post Office going to London. 6 days later the tracking still only says Accepted at Bournemouth post office.
Impossible to get through to anyone. I was on hold for 25mins and when RM person finally answered call they pretended they couldn't hear me and they put the phone down after 2 seconds, clearly to clear the queue.
This is terrible and I won't use RM again. As this was a passport and ruined a holiday. They're not even on strike yet. Totally unacceptable”
“HORRIBLE SERVICE. THE WORST IN THE WORLD!!!
was expecting delivery today, got an email that they will deliver it today but no sign from them - nothing!!! For what we are paying? And they are striking 😅😅😅 Want salary raise? Heck you. For what? For worst service?
It's not the first time since January. In the future will try to avoid as much as possible.
Yak”
“Royal mail are simply rubbish at delivering mail..
I have a tracked 48 item that is still in transit since last Tuesday..5 days ago..and it isn't going to arrive today !! Strike or no strike, you shouldn't be offering any service that you have no intention of abiding with..it's a real shame that the service that is the most unreliable, the one we trust less, the one service I cringe at when it's the only one offered by a supplier is the Royal Mail...when will someone take ownership, why isn't someone doing anything about the lack of confidence we the consumers have in this terrible service..it would be e a joke, but it just ain't funny..”
“Clearly they’re already on strike before the agreed date of 30th September!
Tracked 24hr item not received after 72+hrs. Tracking just says the same generic message and is not updating, “Due To Be Delivered Today Between 8:56am and 12:56pm”. Haven’t received any post at all from RM for 3 days or so now, nor even seen a postman or RM van around on the roads. Like others have said, sounds like they’re letting it all pile up before attempting delivery. Would make sense as to why my letterbox was suddenly overfilled last Thursday, when I’d only get 1-2 letter a day usually.. if that!
Online tracking system is hilariously pathetic & needs redesigning from the ground up. Suggest RM take a look at their competitors, like DPD, who smash it out the park. You’re very antiquated by comparison RM.
Sadly, I’ll be avoiding the use of Royal Mail services for all my future purchases - would rather pay twice as much for DPD delivery, than deal with the headache of not knowing if it will turn up & being unable to take any action for 7+ days if it doesn’t. Big thumbs down!”
“24hr tracked delivery. Promised the right day on their web tracking page... but received no delivery - NOT 24hrs that I paid for. Stayed in all day because web tracking said delivery today, right up to 11pm. Staying in for my parcel was a tolerable inconvenience but totally wasted. Even tried their Android app to try tracking...didn't work. A complete shambles! No wonder do many other parcel carriers are prospering in the UK!!!”
“Tracking on Royal Mail app unfit for purpose. When parcel finally arrived the postal worker just stuffed an attempted delivery card through door. I was in!! No attempt to ring the doorbell. I guess they find it quicker to just pretend they have attempted delivery. This has happened before. Royal Mail is now a joke”
“This is the 6th time I missed my delivery. Neither driver call me or rang the bell juts simply throw a card inside my house.
Today I was waiting for the delivery Card say time was 9:44 at 9:45 I went outside and there was no. I saw Royal Mail car going away…
So bad and pathetic services!!!”
“Said they'll deliver between 11:40 and 1:40pm
No arrival, so had to leave home
The driver arrived around 3pm, had no common sense to just leave the parcel (just a shirt inside it) behind the gate or let a neighbor take it in
I have to wait until Tuesday now to receive the parcel
Hermes/Evri did a better job in the past, and that's saying something”
“Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed 1pm - is a complete con - item posted on Tuesday 13th September - 2 days have passed and still no update on the tracker - if anything postman's wages should not increase at all!”
“A tracked and signed for letter was lost in the first 2 miles of its journey . I'll send my items by Evri from now on . Our education one to beat the striker .”
“No delivery of first class letter.
I went to a lot of trouble to buy, add a message and post a card for a relatives birthday.
I had been a difficult year for all concerned.
Imagine the disappointment to find out that the item had not been delivered.
125 miles from Sussex to Hertfordshire. A week on and seemingly lost.
This is not a one-off.
The local delivery office is one of the worst.
A few years ago, I found that one of their postmen was dumping local mail out for delivery to an empty house.
Fortunately the house had a porch and you could see the letters piled up with all different addresses for local houses.
Astoundingly, there was a large letter clearly addressed to the nearby hospital and clearly marked "Laboratory results".
This is nothing short of criminal.
Being a Royal Mail postman or woman used to be a position of trust and reliability.
That was 50 to 100 years ago.
Now they seem to employ any riff raff they can find.
They even have the cheek to strike for more pay.
Lazy, careless, dubious ethics and intelligence.”
“Bent and creased envelopes with do not bend written on the envelopes delivered without care.
If the envelope doesn't fit, dont force it and knock the door and hand it to the resident, not rocket science.”
“STREATHAM is the worst place where receiving parcels. There are tons of lost items and thousand dissatisfied customers. In Streatham DO there are strange employees, they were unable to help me to find my parcel, telling me strange stories about scammer sellers. But I checked better and my parcel was sent. The employee told me strange stories about scammer seller from China. And suggested do not buy from there. The most strange thing was that from the beginning of the explanation he looked worried about something, many employees came out to support him like they wanted protect him. But I swear, I am a very peaceful person. Maybe they were not sincere. Okay, their job is hard, but they could not be scared by a 60 yo woman. In my opinion, parcel aren't lost, they are stolen by somebody in the warehouse. So, I suggest Royal Mail to look after to these people. Anyway, be aware of this D.O. and buy on Amazon, at least they are able to do the job!”
“Unbelievably bad delivery with Signed For 1st class service. What use is a tracking number if there is no information until delivery is attempted? And how can it possibly take over a week to deliver something a distance that takes less than an hour to drive to? Should have driven it there myself. This was a return to Amazon, who also tried to rip me off by sending me a defective item. Unless the parcel turns up, I guess I'll just have to take the loss... The only thing I will have gained is learning to never use Royal Mail again, at least not for parcels. Appalling!”
