“1. Just recd, 22/12/20 a bouquet of dead cut flowers sent 18/12/20.
2.Also recd bundle of 23 bills/letters/ cards on 16/12/20 some posted back on 27/11/20. Most had 1st class stamps.
3.Card sent 1st class on 8th Dec for 80th birthday on 15/12/20 arrived 22/12/20.
I could go on, numerous failures!!
DPD are performing well despite COVID 19 so what is wrong with Royal Mail???? Avoid RM like the plague! Use technology, the new normal! Avoid failing services. 😢nightmare! No direct complaints service I could find?”

ORDERED AN ITEM AND THEY SAID THAT THE WOULD DELIVER BETWEEN 10.46am-2.46pm
AFTER WAITING IN UNTIL 3.15PM ON THE LAST SATURDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS, WHEN I RETURNED HOME THAT EVENING THEY LEFT A CARD TO SAY THEY TRIED TO DELIVER BUT I WAS OUT.
**IF THEY DELIVERED WHEN STATED THEY WOULD, I WOULD HAVE WAITED IN LONGER **
THE REASON I DID NOT WAIT IN ANY LONGER WAS BECAUSE A FEW DAYS EARLIER I HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANOTHEF DELIVERY.
ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT WE HAVE 2 LARGE ROYAL MAIL DEPOTS - RYDE AND NEWPORT.
ROYAL MAIL SENT IT TO NEWPORT IN ERROR.
THEN INSTEAD OF NEWORT TAKING IT TO RYDE 20 MINUTES AWAY THEY SENT IT TO GREENFORD IN MIDDLESEX.
I CONTACTED THE CEO HE SAID HE WILL ARRANGE
THAT I GET THE PARCEK THE NEXT DAY (I DID NOT)
AND I WAITED IN ALL DAY.
ROYAL MAIL APPEAR TO BE USELESS LATELY.
IN FUTURE ANY ORDERS I PLACE ONLINE OF THE RETAILERS USE ROYAL MAIL I WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM.
I DID SEND AN EMAIL TO MR STEPHEN BUCKLEY, ROYAL MAIL CEO - HE DID NOT REPLY.
MAYBE HE WAS TOO EMBARRASSED ADMITTING HE IS RUNNING A COWBOY OUTFIT.

“Posted Parcel 2nd class signed for on 08/12/20. Parcel has still not arrived at destination only 70 miles away after 13 days. Parcel contains Christmas gifts. This company is a disgrace and must be broken up as they do not provide the service expected. Customer care is non existent and it is impossible to speak with anyone. What a shambles.”
“I have spent £25 sending a regular lightweight parcel to Spain and after a week the parcel still hasn’t left the country. RM will blame Covid like every other company with bad customer service and poor logistics but you only need to read a few comments on this site.
The company is a disgrace. The word ‘royal’ is normally used to reflect a high standard. What a joke.”
“I sent three parcels and around 20 cards from our local post office here in Cornwall to various destinations throughout the UK and every one was correctly delivered within a couple of days. However. on the flip side, I am still waiting on at least two parcels that were ordered on the 12th December and although the retailer has assured me they were promptly despatched via Royal mail, they have not yet arrived.
I think the Royal Mail has become a form of postcode lottery depending on the sorting offices used. It needs a massive shakeup but in the interim, I would follow the advice of other reviewees and check which courier the retailer is using. DPD do appear to be the best at present.”
“I have been waiting for 2 parcels from eBay since the 10th Dec, they are both tracked, you DON’T update your website so it’s a complete waste of time. Very disappointed. Hermes have come up trumps this year.”

“When will Royal Mail be declared Not Fit For Purpose. It obviously cannot cope in its present form and is desperate for reorganisation. Do not blame current circumstances for its demise, my area has known for some years that it has not received a 5 day service. Why is Royal Mail permitted its monopoly, whereby it yields an inferior service but demands an outlandish fee. I feel fleeced with no-one to offer protection. Current circumstances only highlight deficiencies, when will it change?”
