When i'm notified it's royal mail that's delivering im like 😱 + they take too long to deliver + don't notify when their so many stops away Beyond me why the likes of Boots Pharmacy use them , medicine prescriptions would not need to be urgent. Their private investors need to get into drawing room n get it updated or do us all a favour & cease operating

Royal Mail shouldn't be allowed to deliver parcels cause service too poor. It's us that pay for the delivery n help to pay their salaries , they can shove their unhelpful policies where the sun don't shine , that's where their policies belong. When you order online you should be given choice of delivery company as your paying for the delivery , I'd be saying whoever but NOT royal mail. I'm going to start the ball rolling by contacting my local Councillor & proceeded up the ladder

Deliveries seem to take ages. The current situation is difficult but... does it really affect their services that much?

My complaint, is about paying for a tracking service (£1 extra), and not being provided with that service. Royal mail has already shown not only dishonestly, but ignored my complaint about my post arriving, opened! Therefore, on two separate occasions over the last two weeks, my husband and I have paid extra for the tracking service. On both occasions, this has proved to be a waste of time and money, as the tracking only showed where the items were posted, then nothing else. It hasn't shown that the items were delivered, which was the object of paying for a tracking service. My husband had posted a cheque for quite a large amount of money, it was only by checking on our bank account, that he was able to verify it had arrived, and been cashed. He has made a complaint and heard nothing! I posted a parcel yesterday of a painting. I paid for tracking but again, a waste of money, as I only know it reached it destination, because my client phoned to say it had arrived. If you cannot provide the service that you are taking customers money for, then don't offer it. Using Covid as an excuse won't wash either! At the moment my opinion of Royal Mail, is that they are a disgrace, and don't care about their paying customers!

I was sent several photographs by a client. They were marked as being photographs, and were guarded with lightweight card to protect them. The lip of the envelope had additionally been sellotaped for extra security. The envelope was more than large enough, to hold six photographs without causing a problem. Unfortunately when the envelope arrived, the SIDE of the envelope had been slit open from to to bottom. I do not believe this was an accident, if it was then the envelope should have finished its journey to me, having been placed in a plastic bag with covering explanation, as has happened in the past. Luckily none of the photos were missing. I issued a complaint to Royal Mail on 18 May, and apart from an enquiry number, and yesterday an automated email, hoping my complaint had been resolved, have heard nothing. I understand that opening other people's mail is an illegal act. I believe my post was opened, by a member of Royal Mail, thinking that there was possibly money enclosed in the envelope, despite saying 'photo's'. Royal Mail I am waiting for an explanation please!

Ordered an item on eBay a month ago. Tracking has only said dispatched all this time. The seller has agreed to send a fresh article. Another item has been sent with track and trace on it. I try to track it but the response is that it can only be tracked after an attempt has been made to deliver it. Not what any normal person would call track or trace and not much use when it has a high chance of getting lost en route.

You can hardly say that you can 'track' parcels. Improve this! I want to know timeframes, where my parcel is and when they're nearby. Not just that it will arrive today. Your the biggest delivery service in the UK and yet you lack the technology of the smaller companies.

Since lock down came into force I have ordered a lot of items online using various courier services. All items were delivered promptly apart from those coming via Royal Mail. One item was listed as dispatched by the sender through their tracked 48 hour service, zero information on the tracking and item never arrived. I'm now waiting for another item through 24hr express delivery, its been in the Leeds mailing centre now for 36 hours with no change.... Royal Mail look like they're on the verge of collapse given the current standard of service, absolute shambles. An old man on a donkey could deliver faster.

Dreadful delivery service. Postman are dumping parcels in the communal area of my apartment block and saying handed to recipient. Or attempted delivery but noone in - I'm waiting indoors in lockdown for the delivery. Or, delivery made but nothing there. Just dreadful and pot luck whether I receive anything! This must be costing companies a fortune in missing parcels and deliveries.

It's all very well and good blaming corona for poor service but when all your competition is doing a great job and expanding on their business and you offer delayed service with absolutely no help at hand for queries about your tracking system which does make sense or work properly. Absolute joke of a service! Going to have to massively improve soon or there's no way you'll be able to compete. And so I face another day of waiting in all day in case my parcel arrives and the dog doesn't get a walk til after tea all because I have no idea based on your crappy tracking whether the parcel (that was supposed to arrive yesterday by 9am) will arrive today or not. Shambolic and infuriating!

Dreadful disorganised organisation. Now they are using the virus as an excuse for being late with deliveries, when they have always been late with them!! Amazon still manages to get parcels delivered on time through this crisis!
