“Most inconvenient pickup locations of any mail service in the UK. Customer service standard is awful. Deliveries come at 7am so the driver either wakes up my entire family or doesn’t bother buzzing it so then I have to walk forever to my ‘closest’ pickup location. Just nothing about the Royal Mail is respectable when you see what DHL, DPD, UPS, Hermes, Amazon, etc are doing. Absolutely no regard for customer service, satisfaction, or convenience. Royal Mail exists for Royal Mail and you have to beckon to their every call, even though they’re supposed to be providing the service.”
“How you have the nerve to deliver a package that has clearly been opened and all the contents removed is beyond belief. Disgraceful. I have logged my complaint however still appalled by the service”
“Why anyone uses them to deliver a parcel is unbelievable. They never seem to be able to deliver on time. Hermes and DPD manage to give you a time and if they can’t make it let you know. I’ve been waiting in all day for a delivery ‘before 3’ it’s now 15.10. They don’t have an option for ‘safe place’. Absolute rubbish.”
“Would give them zero stars if I could! Had an email yesterday saying my parcel would be delivered today. Was in all day and nothing, however received an email this afternoon saying it had been delivered! This is the fourth time this has happened to me in about two months. First time I spend 40 minutes on hold only to be cut off. Spend another 50 minutes on hold only to get through to an extremely disinterested woman who I had to explain the very simple situation to several times! No apology, and no follow up. The second time I had to chase down my postman who just asked stupid questions like “did you put the right delivery address?” and “were you in?” - it’s lockdown, where else am I going to be! No help at all, just referred me back to the main office. No point putting in a complaint with them as nothing gets done. Chasing them up isn’t worth the phone bill. My third order was ‘lost’. Now this! No longer will I be ordering anything that’ll be delivered via Royal Mail! I’d rather pay more and have a proper tracking system. They’re an absolute joke!”
“I came from China. the experience royal mail give me is appalling! I live on the first floor and didn't here anyone knocked the door from the ground floor. in China. you get called when they delivered postage. what wrong with those people's heads? are we stills live in a world there is no telephone or what? how is that difficult just call me if I am home????”

“Royal Mail are useless, I sent a parcel to Macedonia on 20/3/20, it never arrived, Now I know its the pandemic, I made a clam as I paid tracking signed for, and all I got was a letter saying they need proof of what I paid for it, what it was and the tracking receipt which had faded, I gave up I have lost £60, I sent them several tweets asking what they were going to do about it, and then said I spend £4500 a year with them, I'm going to my Hermes, and guess what, No replies to any tweets and Now they blocked me on twitter, thats real customer service”
“On 22nd March 2021 I sent an item via International Tracking ref. no. LB223966675GB to my mum in Germany. It is a jacket I had knitted for her. It was handed to a company called Langley HWDC on 23rd March. online tracking shows it arrived at a place called Niederaula in Germany on 25th March. Niederaula is 250 km east of Bonn, meaning the item travelled 250 km further than it had to. It appears to remain there and is undelivered. I phoned the German postal service who tell me my contract is with Royal Mail. But on contacting Royal Mail to make enquiries, I only get automated services which do not fit the purpose. This applies to contact via phone, e-mail and web-chat tracking assistant as well as webpage generated forms. The e-mail response actually says they are unable to read any e-mails or respond to them. When trying to contact their delivery partner Langley HWDC it directed me back to Royal Mail.”

Continues to deliver to theiving neighbours despite registering my address as do not deliver to safe spot as there is none or to neighbours but they continue to do it why cant they leave a note and i will collect from the sorting office! “I have had a great many Items sent 48 hour tracked, NEVER has one arrived anywhere near that time not even once.Ive always had very poor service from royal mail with plenty of lost items over the years but there customer service isn't any help .Maybe next time something dosnt turn up report it to the police that the postman must be stealing the mail maybe they would take more notice then?”
“My wife set up on line a redirection of mail when moving home for one year. Although she filled in the names of the householders for some reason hers was not included. When contacting the royal mail they charged her another ten pounds to add her name. Of course my wife raised a formal complaint, they did not reply within their fourteen day period. When phoning to enquire about her complaint, she had the unfortunate experience of speaking to the most unhelpful person she has dealt with.
I can not believe the royal mail can act as it does and employs people of this calibre. Please be aware when booking this service that you cross your Ts and dot your Is.”

“Track n trace codes never work, parcels may just as well be left at collection centre as no effort is made to try and leave with a neighbour or try again , rebooked delivery’s are left at depot , Royal Mail is sadly being left behind by their competitors .”
