BEWARE!!! If you have Buildings Insurance with SAGA-they are increasing price massively-blatant profiteering! Have had Buildings Insurance with SAGA for over 4 years-and always a fair price. Having received my Renewal Notice this year however I was faced with a 280% increase from £189.54 to £721.44-HAVING NOT MADE A CLAIM! After spending 28 minutes "on hold" trying to speak to somebody-(clearly cutting back on call centre staff wo WERE always very good and courteous)-gave up-went on Compare the Market and got an enhanced product for £339! CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Really happy with Saga on my car insurance that led me to renew. A fair price 1st year and reduction albeit small in the 2nd year. Advisors are very respectful and helpful and you aren't rushed if you have any questions. I hope to stay for a long time all things being equal.

For many years I trusted Saga with my Car and Home insurance. Finally realised I was being charged far too much and went elsewhere at less than half the price. Customer loyalty counts for nothing ,shop elsewhere.

Very unhappy with the service from saga car insurance .we paid £234 and needed to sell the car 3 months later they changed me £30 set up fee . That's OK and a £50 cancellation fee which is a RIP OFF in my opinion I spoke to someone who's manager was call BRIONY SMITH who refused to speak to me . As I told them we have quite a amount of money in sage savings and we go on saga holidays each year . This will now end and all savings will be removed . Rip people off saga and they will vote with there feet very bad short-sighted practice. We could have got insurance for £152 from avia but thought saga would give us a better service 😆 LOL

After trying to cancel my home insurance with a near impossible call centre and no email address available I eventually found an email address which then took SAga 2 weeks to reply whilst trying to take a payment from my credit card which I has asked them not to hold on there system !!!! Please AVIOD USING SAGA

After Saga gave me a quote of 4 x my previous years contents insurance I left them for another company. I am now being bombarded with letters telling me of their 4 x more than last years premium. I waited near on 30mins for a call to be answered. Then the reception was so bad the staff member had to ring me back. She had misheard me and thought I was buying car insurance. When I said no and read out the reference found on the numerous letters she put the phone down on me. I had wanted to be taken off all saga mailing lists. What has happened to the company that had such a great name.

After waiting over 25 minutes and was told waiting times are 5 minutes I got through to a insurance advisor who was totally intoxicated slurring her words and she then put the phone down I then got through after another 19 minutes wait and cancelled my policy Buyers beware of Saga they are more expensive and wait times are shocking Dale Grove

I renewed my car insurance last week and informed the person I was dealing with that I would be changing my car this week they said there would be no admin charge and it may even go down being a newer and smaller car.so I contacted saga today with my new details so my original amount I paid last week was £292 fixed for 3 years but my new rate is now £750 for just 1 year with no other alternatives so I had to cancel the policy and will loose £40 due to cancelling it even though I've only had it a couple of days. Surely that can't be right.

After paying out nearly £800 for a one off trip, I had to cancel the day before departure due to GP advising isolation. As Saga telephone lines are not open 24 hours a day, when phoning them the next day I was informed that I could not cancel the policy. The policy was still within the 14 day ‘cool off’ period but as the policy was due to start the day I phoned the customer service team stated I could not cancel the policy. No other option was given. Therefore, the full cost of the policy was lost. Why couldn’t we move this policy forward?

After a hike in premium from around £450 to £975 I found a quote from aviva for just over £500. I phoned Saga and was told by auto message to manage my policy online. I went online and cancelled the auto renew three weeks before renewal. Just recieved policy through post and noticed my bank account a grand lighter. Luckily I get my docs in the post or I probably wouldn't have noticed tilI i checked my statement. Rung them up and was told the online portal to cancel AR doesn't work. I took a screen shot just in case. How many more people who cancelled online are still paying premiums. I need that money to pay an upcoming holiday. I may have needed it to put food on the table. I was told they will let me have my money, the money they took without authority from my bank in maybe 10 days. If you have cancelled online and get online documents just check you aren't still paying. The girl I spoke to was lovely though and sorted it for me.

Trying to process a claim on buildings insurance. Communication from the underwriters has been sporadic, unhelpful, contradictory and very, very slow. Promises made are not kept, appointments to resolve the issue and repair damage are cancelled out of the blue and their suggested follow ups are not carried out. For a company that makes much of its friendly, straightforward communication it has let us down very badly.

given one star cos no stars are possible.Cancelled travel insurance because I didn't tell them IMMEDIATELY THAT MY WIFE WAS HAVING A COLOSTOMY DIAGNOSED AS DIVERCULITIS A NON THREATENING CONDITION ! THIS MEANS A CRUISE WE HAVE BOOKED IS IN DANGER OF BEING LOST FOR A CONDITION THAT IS WIDESPREAD AND INNOCUOUS. STEAR CLEAR OF THSES PEOPLE AND THEIR CRUISE SHIPS THAT GO BROADSIDE IN THE BAY OF BISCAY

Well it’s their new puzzles format. You can’t see it very well and the crossword especially is not good. Most puzzles are the same anyway, done by the same person and American. It’s their new way of doing them and I do not do many online puzzles now. I’m very glad Ivdont subscribe!

Saga insurance are criminalising the consumer on non factual evidence and not taking the consumers concerns seriously ! As the insurance industry is failing to notify the consumer and withholding information for non disclosure . When they are not disclosing the information so the consumer can stop incriminating themselves with this information !

We had strong winds back in April 2024 which caused damage to my roof but they wont pay out as the winds weren't above 55mph. but the winds were strong enough to put a trampoline from two doors away in my garden and our Gazebo in our next door neighbors garden. Awful will never use them again!!
