SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. Within seconds, the individual or caregiver can take any necessary action. “We just got our SAMi a week and a half ago and I love that we can finally sleep again after dealing with sudden onset nocturnal seizures in my 7yo daughter. It’s also shown me that she definitely has difficulty sleeping at night so we can get her in for a sleep study as well. Worth every penny, shipping was super quick, and the customer service has been phenomenal.”

“Very clear picture and sensor seem to be reliable. We haven’t had the SAMi very long and haven’t experienced a seizure so far, so can’t comment on the detection abilities, but it does pick up subtle sleep movement so I would be reasonably confident. We are very happy and SAMi has given us piece of mind and allowed us to relax more at sleep times.”

“We have been using the SAMi monitor for about 3-4 weeks now. We absolutely love it! After a few nights configuring the sensitivity settings, we feel confident in falling asleep at night knowing the alarm will go off for movement we may need to see. We have our daughter sleeping in our room on a mattress low to the ground with no dresser/stand nearby so we zip-tied the monitor to a floor stand we had been using for another baby/video monitor. The only thing that would make the SAMi an even better experience for us would be an adjustable/portable floor stand designed specifically for the camera. We will take the SAMi with us when we travel to visit family/vacations and a suitable spot isn't always available to get the best view. Overall, we can't imagine not having the SAMi monitor and are beyond happy with the customer service, the app, and all the functions! Thank you so much for this wonderful, much-needed and appreciated piece of technology!”

“My son has night time seizures from his epilepsy, having SamI watching over him and ready to alert me to seizure activity had given me so much relief, I feel like I have my nights back. Easy to install and easily affordable on any budget. We were able to pay for express shipping and received our SamI cam the next day. I couldn't imagine life without SamI anymore.”

“My beautiful daughter was home alone when two years ago she had her seizure. Previously she was able to call for help but not that time. She survived but she is paralyzed and not able to speak. To keep her safe I have to always keep an eye on her, including her sleeping next to me. Then I learned about SEMi device and since it arrived it has become my best helper. The camera works wonderfully, I can adjust settings to alert me day and night. Through the monitor, I am watching my daughter resting and I am able to do things in the house that I wasn't able since she is paralyzed. It's a wonderful device and I am deeply grateful for the developers of that system. It's a life-saving device and I highly recommend it to anyone who has to deal with epilepsy to acquire SEMi.”

“My son is 23 years old and has two types of seizures: tonic clonic (grand mal) and focal seizures. His tonic clonic seizures are happening at night. I just purchased the SAMi3 a couple weeks ago. It takes some adjusting with the motion sensor, but it has made me feel much better being able to hear and see him in the bed through the night. We had a different camera system before the SAMi, but this camera is excellent and records his movements. He has not had a seizure since I've been using the SAMi, but I can tell that it will be much better than my previous camera. The picture comes in so clear and the microphone is very sensitive so I can hear everything. I am very pleased so far and I am taking it to the beach with us. It was such an easy setup and I was thrilled with that!! Thank you so much...it sure has taken some of the worry away that I may not hear him through the night. This can be a life saver for sure!!”

“I must begin by saying this is a truly phenomenal system and I am grateful it exists. My little one has seizures in his sleep and while it seems I will never sleep again, it has given me so peace of mind. My system began from day one with a 2-3 second lag from real time events and has progressively gotten worse (currently ~18-20 second lag). I have tried to reset the system and completely unplug each piece (router/camera/iPad) with no success on fixing the delay. Recently, the camera as been on but the iPad will alert me that the camera is not found or the screen will go black for 10-20 seconds. We have the separate router for the camera and even put our son in our room now so the unit pieces are closer. It is a bit concerning as this is a new problem and I hope it doesn’t get worse. I still love it but wish I could fix that.”

“I am 37 years old, living alone with epilepsy. My doctors have advised against living alone, but I don’t want roommates, so I wanted an innovative way to stay safe with my nocturnal seizures. I came across SAMi after a Google search. From the beginning, I received world-class and caring customer service. It is clear that this company is mission-driven. The kit has everything I need and works flawlessly for me. It’s sensitive enough to small repetitive movements that it will sound the alarm after my chosen time of 22 seconds, but it’s not so sensitive that it goes off at every movement. They thought of everything, such as being able to adjust timing and level of sensitivity. It’s obvious that this was developed by people who have experience with someone with epilepsy. The kit was easy to set up, and I’m not technologically inclined. I’m so happy with my purchase and grateful for this technology and the support of the leadership at the company. I’m also very grateful for the Danny Did Foundation who helped make this possible for me.”

“Our epilepsy team doctors at NYU Langone Epilepsy Center in New York City recommended the SAMi sleep monitor for our 7-year old son who has epilepsy and I can't say enough good things about it! It was easy to set up, the app is reliable, the videos are super sharp and can be sent to the doctor for review. We also love the remote monitoring feature, which means that we can see our son if we're outside our house (at dinner for instance) and our son is at home with the babysitter. Instead of having her tell us if our son is having a seizure in his sleep, we will get alerted right away, even though we're not at home and can act accordingly. We tried several seizure monitoring devices before getting the SAMi and none of them play in the same league. Also - the customer service and support team are super responsive and professional. This gadget is a must have for any family caring for a loved one with epilepsy and it's the first device that has allowed us to have a good nights' sleep --- all you epilepsy moms and dads get what I mean here 8)) I would give it six stars if I could - it's outstanding!!!”
