do not answer phones or e mails and can not get no reply from chat been trying to get them on phone after waiting 1 hour they just cut off

The worst company I have ever dealt with they lie and shouid not be allowed to trade Ofgem are of no use or this company and the CEO should be struck off trading Customer service does not exist in this they do not reply and if you manage to speak to a person they just lie and don't help. Just look at the rating for it on various media forums the ineptitude of this company is staggering Emails will not be replied to

A JOKE - The Ombudsman should investigate their practices. Scottish Power Management should be held accountable for not training the staff they have and for not working out problems in their system. 5 1/2 hours on hold, my 5th attempt to call to advise I had moved into a property with Scottish Power already connected - last September and YES 51/2 HOURS on HOLD to get through, I stopped counting after over 20 calls to Scottish Power, there has been misinformation, problem after problem with setting up my account and them go told my first month I had used nearly £1600 of electricity, I did my own calculations on meter reads in recent months it should be £85.00 - £120.00 - Its now end of January no one called you back been when you escalate complaints twice now. It's a full-time job chasing Scottish Power, Still not sorted as of today 18th January (four months in) I can't move the provider until this is sorted. My recommendation to anyone looking at Scottish Power is to run for the hills. The worst service ever, no communication, staff don't know what's going on, don't even get the meter reads right. If you value your time and don't want to spend your life on the phone go elsewhere. I put one star because I could not do any less. Please Note.. you're asking below "How did I communicate with the company" you are only allowed to list one. I have LIVE CHAT / EMAIL / TELEPHONE / COMPLAINTS DEPT / COMPLAINTS ESCALATION x2 - NO JOY. "How quickly did the company reply to Queries" you do not have an option of "NEVER" or "OVER THREE MONTHS".

I hate them to the point I want to destroy this company. I have been trying to contact anyone, by phone, online chat and email. No response received from anyone...We have no electricity for a week now. Moreover, they deliberately putting customers on hold on 0345 (chargeable numbers). Once I was charged £ 18 for 48 minutes while on hold.

I hate scottish power to the point I try to call almost everyday and I no I won't get anywhere with them it feels so upsetting I want to kill myself because of them I swear to god I fuking hate them worst company for gas and electric dirty horrible bustards

As a landlord I deal with many energy companies, but Scottish Power stands out as being by far the worst and virtually impossible to deal with. I have spent many hours on the phone and have sent numerous emails to explain that I have paid their invoices, in full, for a property that I have now sold, but they still send me invoices, with added “collection charges” and threats of further action. After spending several hours waiting on the phone I eventually spoke with an operator this morning, who told me that credit balances were not repayable, he could not help and that I must speak to “customer services”. The behaviour of this company is either shockingly incompetent or bordering on criminal. Avoid them at all cost.

I hate scottish power with a passion! They got me in debt they made me cough up 3,159 for a year I live in a two bed flat! I have paid it all I don't owe them a penny but they won't let me leave! I've been trying since September but they won't let be close my account do not use this company! They charge you what they feel like then your stuck with them for life!

Rubbish customer service. Their phone lines are always busy and the agents do not have any clue what they are talking about. I am considering switching to a different provider.

My sister died in March 2022 and as executor of her estate I had to notify Scottish Power of her death and to change the bills in to her teenage son's account. Despite this conversation Scottish Power started sending letters to my grieving nephew threatening to cut off his supply unless the bills in my deceased sister's name were paid. After several attempts I finally got through to Scottish Power again to go through the switch over to the new name for the second time and arrange a payment plan for outstanding arrears due to my sister spending the last months of her life in a hospice, but yet again the threatening letters to cut off the supply continued. Tired of their behaviour I called Scottish Power once more and I was assured that everything was now in order, yet days later Scottish Power phoned and bullied my nephew into paying £600 without an explanation, which due to his young age and inexperience he paid despite barely having enough money to last him and his brother the rest of the month. I phoned them once more to highlight this unforgivable error and Scottish Power returned the funds assuring me the matter was now resolved. So you can imagine my anger and utter disgust when I discovered three months later that Scottish power had not been debiting my nephew's bank account, but instead had elected to take the funds from my grieving elderly mother's bank account instead, without advising her. I called Scottish once more totally gobsmacked at their incompetence. After waiting for 2 hours online they eventually picked up and reimbursed the difference without an apology and finally set up the correct payment details in my nephew's name albeit we soon realised that they had done so without adding the surplus payment plan we organised for the outstanding amount owed. To top it all off, Scottish power then sent a letter addressed to my deceased sister saying. "We are sorry to see you are leaving us". Suffice to say that from the ratings on this website it is plainly obvious that you should never use Scottish Power.They have no customer support service and obviously no heart. I have never experienced anything like it in all my life. Avoid them at all cost.

if i can give zero i will. untrust campany it is bad company . i been gas custmer i been told you will pay less than priviews campany EDF but they are charge me over over. i bren in holidy and they charged me too . i email them but no one call me back when you call them they line is cut very bad custemer survice . now i want leave they asked me to pay outanding balace. as i am premeter card how can i have oustanding balance ? they are untrust company .they just want money . i am very disappoint with this company .

Their not very understanding as long as they get their money their fine but as soon as you carnt afford a bill their on you like a bat out hell and as for their estimated gas bill wow I changed to smart metter Becouse I could top wene I need to my elec is fine but my gas has give me nothing problems I hardly has ever my central heating on because I carnt afford it but then they gave the balks to send me a £270 bill sort ur self out ScottishPower ur a disgrace

I have beed a Scottish Power customer since 2018. I requested a smart meter as soon as I became a customer. I have mede multiple subsequent requests. I have had zero response. There appears to be no way to communicate effectively with Scottish Power. Why can't Scottish Power provide me with a smart meter? Why can't Scorttish Power provide me with a response. A/C ...471

On hold for 4 hours. Talked to the guy on the phone, he cut us off again. This is every time we spoke to them over the last few months over the same issue. Still not resolved. It's a horrible experience, stress like you wouldn't believe and we're completely powerless

PATHETIC is all I can say!!left scottish power 2 months ago,then got an email from them saying they owed me £133 refund over 2 weeks ago,still not got refund!calling forget it as they always end the call,as they say they are very busy!which is a nonsense!as they can't be busy all the time. Tried live chat which is useless as it only gives generic answers,and not the answers I want! So think I've lost my refund as impossible to get through to them. Oh well, it's what it is. If it were the other way round and I owed them money,I would never here the end of it!!! I'll say it again PATHETIC........

havnt had gas for yrs toping up 50 pound get 6 p0und no emergancy .i was top[ng up over 100 a week and still left witout eletric iv stoped toping up letric a yr ago my bill on metreis 10.0000 ten thousand im disabled live in one room il go without before i pay them
