Horrendous company. Terrible customer service. They recommended a floor fitter who long story short THREATENED my 39week pregnant girlfriend after she pointed out the horrendous job he had done with our flooring and when contacted around this matter they pretty much shrugged and said 'he doesn't work for us' though to my understanding he is still representing them! They then proceed to give us our babies due date for when a surveyor will come out to look at the terrible 'work' that has been done. Would never use this company again, and would highly recommend anyone reading this to go elsewhere.

Ordered my suite on the 11th July, was expecting it 2and October. When this date passed with no contact from them, I sent 2 emails which were ignored. Eventually I managed to speak with someone on the phone who told me it is now not expected in the warehouse until 16th November. Really bad customer service that nobody had informed me if this. Would not use this company again.

Don't buy from SCS!! Firstly, we were hounded in the Croydon store by a salesman who was clearly after his commission. He followed us around constantly. We did eventually find a settee and were only asked about access, which we had - nothing was mentioned about size or dimensions. Consequently when the settee (which was delayed) was delivered it didn't fit. It cost us another £75 to have the settee broken down and restored (with gorilla glue!). It then transpired it wasn't the settee we had ordered - it was a different design. My daughter-in-law also ordered from SCS recently and had a dreadful time too when the colour differed quite substantially from the swatch she was shown. A grey corner settee turned out to be green. There was no offer of a refund of course. Once these people have hold of your money there's no getting it back! Certainly we would never buy from SCS again.

We ordered 3 & 2 seater sofas, plus armchair and carpet from Wednesbury store on 4th July. We were told about 13 weeks for sofas - that was fine, and a delivery date for carpet middle of September. Bit long for the carpet but we needed time to decorate living room so it was ok. Had email confirmation about sofas nothing about carpet. Phoned customer services FOUR times before we got some sense, that was only after my husband asked for the regional manager to phone him which he did. Was told carpet would be 29th September so they had to delay sofas. We reckon they forgot to put carpet order through. Come late September, had phone call, carpet won’t be delivered until 15th October! Manufacturers fault apparently. Then today (8th Oct), they called to say carpet will have to be delayed AGAIN! They’ve now given us a date of 3rd November! My husband has gone spare at them, and all they can do is apologise and say it isn’t their fault. Not good enough! I’ve never known a carpet take so long. And of course they’re using COVID as an excuse. What rubbish! They don’t tell you there could be a delay due to Covid when you’re ordering from them! They pounce on you as soon as you enter the store and their adverts are on every ad break! Yet they can’t deliver on time because of Covid. My husband has told them this is the last chance otherwise he said he will go to the store and yell at the top of his voice until he gets his money back! Of all the places at Wednesbury retail park we could’ve gone to and we picked them! Never again! Do not use SCS!

I had scs come to do my carpet on Friday the 2nd of October and they did not have the joining machine so they said they will be back on the Monday 5th of October and it is now the 8th of October still not here I am disabled and my partner has sever depression and anxiety this is just unbelievable I have payed over £1000.00 and they are just out of order they make u fill so ill and my partner is really struggling with this I whoud rather die than have anything to do with scs ever again after this

Theres a backlog at the warehouse still waiting 4 months for my sofas but stores still continue to take orders. Do not recomend.

Just do not buy from them, simple. Seems from many reviews they play the same game everywhere Low prices for crappy furniture. I have been chasing them for over a year and that after they delivered the wrong color suite in the first place. If you buy and have a problem they will just give you the run around and blame other companies like Homeserve. then claim the manufacturer has said no problem exists,but fail to inform you until they are challenged. Save your self a lot of potential trouble ,DO NOT from them. - period.

Order a carpet June and still waiting for it they keep getting The order wrong the staff at scs castle vale need to be trand in delling with customers the managegers are totally useless so I will not use scs again they a totally bad company so don't use them they don't contact you and they don't phone to let you how your orders going

Had a very bad experience with this SCS Farnborough they didn’t do the job properly and I put my reviews on SCS website and they asked me to email @chiefexecutive @scs.co.uk but it’s says invalid email id How can they do that that’s insane and we don’t want the same person to do the job again but they said it’s has to be the same person they can’t replace him don’t know why well we are not happy with his work but they have force and said it will be him not other worker don’t know what gonna happen now omg it’s making us so worried and stress from that store SCS in farnborough Never in my life go to that Horrible store .

I had same problem they are utterly the worst everything they put me through has left my mental health in bits. Please don’t use them I am so stressed it’s unbelievable. They are not a nice company to deal with. They certainly don’t care about the customers and what they put them through.

We bought a 3 + 2 seater leather Lay-Z-Boy powered recliner set, delivered 1st February 2020. Quickly established a machanical fault with the 2 seater. Their technician came and confirmed that the whole action needed to be replaced in March 2020 as it had a manufacturing fault. Told not to use the sofa as the whole side has dropped and is pressed against the floor. They very quickly pointed out that as the fault has been reported more that 30 days from delivery, we cannot reject it. It is now October 2020, and they refuse to confirm when we can expect them to rectify the fault. We are using section 75 of the consumer credit act to either force them to rectify within 21 days, or come and collect the sofas and give us our money back. ScS customer services are the most woeful, frustrating and just plain ineffective "service" department we have ever dealt with. AVOID ScS at all costs.

We bought two carpets from SCS, one of which had a visible defect in the pile which I reported within an hour of the fitters leaving, supplying a photograph as requested. After several emails that got no response and two subsequent phone calls to their so-called 'aftercare' people, in which we were told they would contact the manufacturer and get back to us, we are still waiting for a response after two weeks. What the manufacturer might say is irrelevant - SCS supplied the defective carpet and are in breach of the Consumer Rights Act. Their total failure to communicate suggests they couldn't care less once they have your money. Don't give these cowboys your business.

I would not have even rated them 1 if there was a choice of 1 or minus. They don't inform customer that you are not allowed to cancel your order and they don't verbally or give you written figure of the cost ie glides etc. Why would I want glide for stool costing £40 when if can lift it . I tried to cancel my order within 2 hours I was told that I could not because allegedly the manufacturers have started to build the sofa. What a load o bull. The Manager in Dartford store is rude, abnoxious and a liar. Had heard how of how many unsatisfied customers there are. Stupidly i was trying to prove them wrong. Legally you have the right to have 7 or 14 days cooling off period but this is the only way SCS traps customers.

No customer service delivered my £5000 sofa didn't unrap it or put it together sofa damaged thay will not not answer the phone. had to dive 25miles back to the store. aragant and no help. Never again

We bought a sofa which was over stuffed and manager in shop did not want to know. He suggested he comes round and jumps on it. Give it time he said. We did it was no good. Contacted customer services and we had to pay for one of their upholsterers to do report on sofa. She said over stuffed and took loads out. I asked for refund of fee as sofa was faulty when delivered. They refused.

Ordered carpet and wanted to include passage but was told it couldn’t be done as manager was to busy to work out a price so unable to get it. SCS phoned to say carpet would be fitted today first thing came back from holiday early to get furniture out of rooms no carpet fitter arrived unable to contact SCS by. Phone texts or emails my advice would be avoid. At all costs especially the hull branch do not use they talk a good sales pitch but don’t deliver

After carpet was fitted we found damage to walls where plaster had been damaged - carpet not fitted properly - not stretched enough before cutting - it bubbles up in several places - 6 months later we are still waiting for job to be fixed - terrible service and attitude - will never use them again
