Terrible service, trying to arrange a fourth visit from the fitters as they have not done a good enough job. Never get a call back always have to chase scs myself. No compensation offered, still chasing 6 months later for a resolution.

We don't normally complain but when you buy a sofa and you need a Hugh repair after 31 days there's something wrong. Customer service are programmed to be obstructive. I should have listen to other reviews BUY CHEAP BUY TWICE

Bought flooring and lots of it, had issues and complained, eventually had a replacement 6 + months later ( i do believe they hoped that we would not notice that they replaced with cheaper) then with further complaints of a different floor they come with different excuses to not rectify said issues..... still on going fight

GREAT SERVICE in store - Sales assistant friendly, helpful and patient. Offered great advice. Closed sale. AVERAGE SERVICE when it came to the delivery, started chasing 2 weeks after the agreed delivery date, when spoke to head office was told to check the small print which covers them for a further 4 weeks. Arrived 3 days after the additional 4 weeks. No apology given. POOR SERVICE - Furniture arrived and foot stall had a rip in it. Spoke to head office and store. Continually had to chase following sending photos. Finally agreed to replace but told would have to wait a further 12 weeks. A long painful process. No apology. Disposed of damaged footstall once replacement agreed, SCS did not say at any point that we needed to keep it or did they offer to collect it. On arrival of new footstall 12 weeks later driver refused to deliver as wanted to take damaged one away. Called SCS head office while driver on doorstep to explain situation and asked to speak to a manager and was told "Managers are not customer facing and do not speak to customers". Told i would have to speak with the store Manager where the purchase was made. Called the store while driver on door stop and told store manager was on holiday. Was told by sales manager that he would contact regional manager. Was then told that regional manager was on holiday but that had discussed case with senior branch manager that said "Nothing can be done". £300 wasted. In the bigger picture i have lost £300 but i will make sure that i am very vocal with everyone i know about my experience with SCS.I used SCS previously to carpet all my upstairs rooms. They will not receive any further business from me or any of my family members or close friends. No wonder so many furniture and carpet stores are going bust. In hind sight i should have spoken with SCS prior to disposing of the footstall but in my defence at no point was it made clear to me that i needed to store the footstall for 12 weeks. A £300 lesson learnt but a bigger loss for SCS.

I ask driver to park around the back for easier access to my house he said I don't want to move my truck. Then he walked dog poo around the side of my house through my diningroom and into my lounge. He did offer to try and clean it up but I said that I would do it as I wanted it done properly. As I was trying to clean it up driver and his mate carried on taking the sofa in not givingredients me the chance to clean up the dog poo in the room the sofa was going. They took photos of sofa and the dog poo and asked me if I was happy with the delivery he was already filling the survey out and when I said no you walk dog poo in my house and didn't give me chance to clean it up before putting the sofa in her sorry I have gone past that page and can go back to change it. Had he parked outside the backids whereally I asked him to he would not of walked dog poo in my house. When he left in noticed he put the sofa feet in the wrong place so no i am not happy his customer service nends a lotime of work.

Wish I had never bought anything from them over charged me £70.told 6 weeks for delivery took 10 weeks chair faulty foot stool faulty customer service rubbish still waiting for the new foot stool 6weeks later DO NOT USE THIS FIRM ignore your calls and you get passedfrom pillar to post

My sofa is of poor quality terrible craftsmanship. The wooden frame can be seen and felt. No wadding just material stretched accross it. Its going back and i will be taking my custom elsewhere.

The worst service ever by this shop SCS. Ordered a sofa about £6,000 waited 12 weeks after 12 weeks they phoned and said we would have to wait another 4-5 weeks. Then after 5 weeks they phoned and said it will be 2 more weeks. Finally they came after 19 weeks of waiting - when they delivered our sofa they only did bring half of it. They then wanted us to wait another 5-7 days for the other half of the sofa. Completely shocked and upset by the service from these folk. Never again will I order from you. One part still missing and they’re telling us to order again.

Was sold sofa's not offered the upgrade and 1 month after delivery cushions lose Shap repair and another repair then another now there not new any more will be fighting them all the way , just spoke to James sales manager at Nottingham what a disappointment , wouldn't recommend them

Purchased £2200 worth of carpets from the Uddingston store. Told to lift my old carpets in advance then given only 2 DAYS notice that there wouldn’t be enough for my lounge. It would be another few weeks. Lies! I have had to chase them constantly. Never call when they say. It’ll eventually be 5 full weeks that I’ll be without any carpet in my lounge and that’s if they come through. I don’t trust what they say. Offered a paltry £100 for the countless disappointments. 5 phone calls and a visit to the store have resulted in countless stories and lies being told to me. Hours spent emailing and composing letters of complaint. Some weekend off!!!! Some staff members are very brash and rude over the phone, despite my reasonable requests and polite manner. Pity it’s their reflection on the company that I’ll remember instead of the only 2 polite staff members I’ve encountered. Once you sign a contract with them they are not interested. Can’t say how long it has taken them to respond to my complaints as it’s mainly been me having to contact them after being promised calls and being left hanging. I have 3 young children and have had to cancel a family function due to having no lounge carpet! Don’t be fooled by the adverts and sales patter. Awful! NEVER AGAIN!

Disgusting.. Ordered two sofas in August and was told 6 weeks delivery. These were a special order and wanted to have a slight change to cushions.. After the 6 weeks was calling as no delivery to be told as special order it was taking a little long.. OK I get that.. Near on 3 months later they were delivered with original cushions and not the ones ordered.. So lies about why it took so long.. Called Scs Northampton and they said they will get it sorted and they would be here by end of November.. I called them beginning og December asking them to collect sofas.. They agreed but said if I could hold on until end of January it would be sorted.. I agreed.. Cushions came at end of January and was delivered to be on February 10th.. They were wrong AGAIN.. Called and asked for a refund and they have declined due to what was written on order form and it being a miscommunication.. But will reorder cushions..I have totally had enough of this company and want rid of these sofas as the hassle so isn't worth it.. When calling head office they refer you back to the store you bought them from.. Great.. It may sound trivial to many people but my mental health is suffering.. I rarely leave my house and my home is my castle.. Cheers Scs.. Would never use this company again and nor would I recommend them..

32 months after buying a leather reclining chair for nearly £800 the seat cushion started to sag on the left hand side, I phoned Castalan the company Thad deals with the warranty and specifically asked if it was covered under the 5year warranty and was told yes, a claim form was filled in and an appointment booked, a letter was received saying the fault was not covered under the warranty so another phone call was required, I was told an engineer would still call to check the frame. When the engineer arrived he checked the frame which was as expected ok, he then inspected the seat cushion filling was not covered under warranty as it only lasts two and a half to three years, he then proceeded to tell me to go to Dunelm and buy a 2 inch foam seat pad and then showed me how to fit it once I had it. I couldn’t believe what he was saying and rest assured I will tell everyone I know not to buy from SCS

After asking for advice on which carpet was best for stairs and won’t go flat,I was sold some stair carpet with a guaranteed (£400) after 3 months it was completely flat and I’m having to replace my carpet.im very house proud but scs told me to hover it,which I do twice a day as well as brush it plus no one is allowed to wear shoes in the house.although they agree it’s does look bad and it shouldn’t of gone like this,they are saying there is nothing they can do! Even though it has a guarantee! Wouldn’t touch this shop ever again now after this! Shocking customer service! Oh and to top it off, they came and measured it when I ordered and I’ve since found out they actually ordered double the size and charged me ! Can not believe it.they definitely see me coming

4 repairs could bot fix. Replaced the sofa it too was faulty built wrong. Major attitude from shop staff saying one thing on phone then denying it face to face. Avoid

Fitters fitted vinyl to my kitchen. I requested they come back as it had creases in it. The fitters did not respond so contacted the store. The fitters came out and said there was a fault with it they recommended the store sends out a surveyor. He came and reported back creases and an uneven floor and all badly fitted. He also said the screening I paid an extra £200 for needed doing again. This was reported back then I got a phone call from head office saying they would replace and the store manager would be in touch. The store got in touch but they wanted to send out another fitter to have a look. He came verbally recommended the screening needed redoing and that it was badly fitted and recommended I get felt backed lino when it's replaced. He emailed the store and then I got a phone call from the store manager from Huddersfield to say they weren't replacing the lino as the dog had chewed it. He was rude and went onto say that they couldn't re use the vinyl cos the dog chewed it by the door. I never denied this but the original fault was with fitting and the time scale left before coming back. I asked about the screening and he said he knew nothing of this and that was the end of it. I told him I would dispute this with HO. I have since phoned again twice spoke to the same lady who said she would pass onto her manager. Until today not heard from them. But today the Huddersfield store phoned to say there was a shortfall in the replacement vinyl of £130 ish and they needed this before they would book it in. I asked about the screening and she said she knew nothing of that. I paid an extra £200 to have my floor level, it's still not level and I'm reluctant to pay the extra for thicker lino if I am covering up their error.

I am disgusted with ScS !!!! My elderly parents bought 2 sofas (paying in full, in cash) from ScS. They also paid for insurance cover at the same time. The wrong sofas were delivered before Christmas and my Mum was devastated. She broke her heart, it was awful seeing her in tears. We rallied around due to the "couldn't care a less" attitude and rudeness of responses that received from ScS. We did NOT receive any apology!!! On 4th January Mum was in outpatients getting an ECG. I received a call from a driver saying he was at their house and couldn't get an answer . When I enquired why he was there he had been sent by ScS to collect the sofas. He did not have the correct replacement ones with him! Needless to say he did not get them. I was appaulled that they were going to knowingly leave vulnerable elderly customers with no living room furniture. Mum was sent straight across to A&E and later admitted for observation for AF. 5 days later Mum died. As I was leaving the hospital and Mums death bed ScS rang / text and emailed to say the new sofas were ready. I explained when they rang again about an hour later that Mum had just died. Despite this I received more communications and eventually my Dad said just get them delivered so we could be finally be left to grieve. They were delivered before we had even had a chance to bury her. A small consolation was that in one call from ScS they said that £200 was going to be repaid as a "goodwill gesture" for the inconvenience. IT HAS NOT!!, As if all of this has not been bad enough today, exactly 1 month after Mum died my grieving father received a letter from Castellan group saying they have received notification from ScS to cancel the protection plan. This is without his permission, without any explanation, without a refund of the cost of the plan and in utmost disrespect for an already poorly treated customer. I am furious, speechless and not going to accept this disgraceful treatment of s grieving elderly customer.

Further to our earlier revue, now had scs on phone twice in last two days, could not believe they said they would offer discount to us if we bought another suite for cash only, needles to say he was told where to stick his suite. politely

Worst company i have ever dealt with, 2yrs down the line 3rd sofa and still issues can't be resolved. Their answer to everything is put it in an email. I havent got a computer..... arghhhhhhhh

RIP off techniques at the Plymouth branch! I can’t believe the rude arrogant manager there is allowed to work there! Bought two sofas in December and still haven’t had delivery one month late and they don’t care. Do not buy from these people, they are sharks.
