Pay £3500.00 for a sofa after 2 years of me telling you the settee is not comfortable and keeps collapsing and you keep repairing. Then you send out the manufacturer’s repair specialist and he writes his report saying the whole settee has manufacturing faults that’s why it keeps collapsing then scs send out one of your upholsterers and he also writes the settee off at a cost of £75 to myself then I wait 4 months for a response and the response is from my local scs store saying we will take your settee away as it’s not fit for purpose and you can come into the store and choose a settee for £1600.00 😂😂😂😂😂😂 No I don’t think so.. repair it or like for like please. Still waiting for response.never ever will I buy anything from scs again. I have been sat on a broken settee with springs protruding and collapsed seats since new.

Horrible experience at the Slough store. The moment we entered the store it started feeling like there is an enormous pressure being built up to purchase. The guy whom I asked to show me the sofa section was quite rude and literally mocked me for asking that. Then came another guy. He suggested to buy any furniture over £250.00 and then get a 20% extra discount on the carpet. Their collection of furniture at the store was terrible. We felt kind of trapped to buy two of their "two-stair" side tables. I paid £374.00 by my debit card. Then he asked me to pay £300.00 deposit for the sofa. I paid £300.00 by my debit card. Now, I asked for a receipt and he said it will come over the email. I asked for a receipt for the deposit and he said as the purchase hasn't complete (because the surveyor will come and take the measurement before the purchase is complete) he cannot give me any receipt either. We came back home and I checked the reviews and I wanted to kill myself. The reviews everywhere were terrible about the carpet and the fittings, the customer care service everything. I couldn't that night. Next day I drove about an hour to cancel the carpet order. After initial evasive replies the guy let me speak to the store manager. This guy started all sorts of excuses told me that the tables are "non cancel-able" so cannot be refunded. So a table which I only bought to get the 20% discount on the carpet is "non cancel-able". Wow! Then I asked where is my receipt for the table purchase. His initial response was "give me your mobile phone I will show you where it is in your gmail". Anyway after a long conversations, a lots and lots of patience I could get the carpet order cancel but not the tables. The tables haven't even been delivered and supposedly those will come when those will come. There a timeline of weeks. But if those do not arrive, I won't dare to call the customer care as I have no hope of getting them through. Going to the store again, well that's the last line of hope, to deal with them again? The scariest thing I might have to do. If you love peace in your life do not put your foot in there.

Would not recommend this company. Terrible customer service at Clocktower, Chelmsford. Got me to sign on tablet to confirm order. Sent order confirmation through by e-mail and found my signature had been placed at the end of all sorts of statements which had not been brought to my attention and to which I had not agreed. Want £99 to deliver one small table costing just over £300! I said I would collect as I was not prepared to pay this excessive amount. However I find the order states I have £99 outstanding ! Currently awaiting their response for my request for this to be removed! Would not do business with this store again.

TERRIBLE customer service from SCS. NEVER take out the £250 insurance. Costs £75 for an engineer to declare it was a manufacturing fault on a 2 year old sofa&chairs. Result to issue- have a broken sofa & 40% voucher for ANOTHER SCS sofa. Will never use or recommend SCS again

Disgusted by the service ive been waiting over two months for someone to fit my carpet there’s constantly cancellations and they can’t find my carpet and I can’t get through half the time to the store I AM INFURIATED! I can’t move in to my property because of this companies negligence

Would not recommend this company! Ordered a carpet,it come wrong size. Then re ordered and booked in again to be then told manufacturer had run out of carpet and would be another 2 weeks! 8 weeks in total waiting for a carpet!! Ended up cancelling and going elsewhere

Don't buy a carpet from this company! They fitted the wrong carpet on the wrong day over a month ago and the issue is still not sorted! Rude and unhelpful customer services! Will be getting legal advice and going to trading standards!!!!

Ordered a sofa and carpet, carpet arrived first it was wrong one, only to be told that WE had ordered the wrong one, receipt never given stating our carpet choice , only got a receipt for sofa, Hence now left with a carpet we did not choose, the salesman obviously got carpet choice wrong and put order through then blamed us, absolutely disgraceful and rude customer care from Wakefield branch they all stuck together when contested and lied accordingly to cover each other, Avoid these un proffesional clowns, they was unble to provide us with the order for the carpet, i wonder why

Ordered sofa etc and 2 extra cushions. All arrived ahead of schedule and were lovely EXCEPT the extra cushions were the WRONG MATERIAL. Attempted to get these replaced which I was told would be done. Now I have a beyond frustrating problem. Store has the cushions and I am constantly ringing to ask when they will deliver - no joy. Head Office say ring back …… whenever ……….. no joy. Complaint to Manage elicits an email reply saying store will contact me re delivery. Next day at 0827 I get a phone call from HO asking me to ring to arrange delivery. I ring the number, open from 8am to 8pm, at 0833 and 0845 to be told line opening times at 8am to 8pm and to ring back when open and call disconnects. Emailed Manager and email, sent the previous day, bounces back. Called her number and had to leave a message. What is going on is poor communication and I have given up hope of ever getting the cushions or my money back which was £100. Good furniture, abysmal communication. Why does the customer have to go all this running about? Why does the call centre ring at 0827 requesting I call back to arrange a delivery and at 0833 and 0845 it says it is closed? I have a job of work I must go to and a life with sufficient problems to sort out THIS ONE IS ONE WHICH SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. Frustrated and angry.

We have recently ordered two sofas from our Preston branch. This is the second time I've used SCS my last sofa is now fifteen years old and we fancied a change. Becky the lady who served us was lovely and came over and helped us with everything we needed, she wasn't pushy and didn't make us feel like we had to buy. A nice friendly store with some lovely good quality sofas.

We purchased two settees Unfortunately they were faulty when they arrived I suppose anything can be faulty the review I'm writing is the fantastic service then there after we got after care out reports were actioned for us choose another set of settees we were very satisfied thank you scs

Got a corner sofa and dining table form scs.. the sofa instantly collapsed in the corner and you go straight though to the timber frame underneath.. we had the “repair man”(if you can call him that!) come round just to say, and I quote.. “they all go like that.. I’ll pull the material tighter and then it’ll be ok for a bit”.. whatever he did, did nothing what so ever so now I’m life with a £2000 bill and a 2nd rate, rubbish sofa... the table came in a water damaged box that was falling to bits.. once opened we found that the legs had chunks missing out of them that where crudely coloured in with black marker pen.. we complained just to be told that I probably did it myself so they won’t be doing anything about it.... trust me when I say this... AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST..

I bought lovely looking 3 piece suite, what a pity the quality was very poor. The sofa arms were solid where as the chair arms weren’t, almost put my elbow through one of them having had the suite for 3 months. They blamed me for it even though an their upholsterer put it down to a collapsed card. That’s right, CARD, as in cardboard! No in store customer service, just given a telephone number. Once they’ve got your cash they’re not interested! Absolutely disgusted!

My 86 year old blind Mum has been left for 13 weeks without a sofa, she paid cash and after promises of delivery and being told lie after lie we still dont have the sofa shes paid for. The store doesn't give a damn. Staff at Mansfield branch are so rude. Contacted Head office at least a dozen times. I have never been so disgusted with a retail store and company in my life. Advice is to go elsewhere to buy your furniture not SCS. dont waste your time , energy and money.

I found your staff to be rude and abrupt when you questioning something. Your website to be misleading as it tells you, you have 14 days cooling off period but what it does not tell you, is that is only on, online orders.

I would give zero stars if I could. ScS Stockport was terrible, and the manager Richard needs to go on some customer service training his attitude was disgusting. I don’t know who he thinks he is!! We told SCS we were moving into a new built property and they told us Vinyl flooring is fine. The day there fitters arrived they refused to fit it saying it’s not able to go down in a new build for a year or we would get bubbling. They wouldn’t fit it even if we didn’t care about it not being prefect. Then rang SCS Stockport to explain to be told I could return the vinyl and get a refund less 25%. I obviously refused to pay the 25% and it wasn’t the cost it was the principle. Then to be called stupid my the manager and given verbal abuse was just not acceptable! No wonder the car parks always empty! Anyway complaint to head office submitted with recording of the call! It’s a shame isn’t it
