Don't bother... we signed but we're still undecided and told we had 7 days to change our mind. So we thought we had 7 days to cancel. They DO NOT tell you otherwise. My partner started to feel unwell and left the shop to sit in car i was starting to feel groggy. so I signed thinking if we didn't want it we would straight away cancel. A few hours later we got more poorly went and got tested and sad to say we have covid 19 hence the rush in store when we started to feel groggy. I tried to cancel 6 hours later sent numerous emails and phone calls to be told no they didn't imply we could cancel, which they did. And we were buying this £4000 couch weather we liked it or not as we signed doesn't matter on the circumstances unless someone died or got sacked which they would want proof. My partner and I are now quite poorly and stressed and just stuck with it. No1 wanted to help and the emails I got in reply were quite snotty. Never have I been treated in such a way by a company. And never will I ever go near them again. The fact our father bought a sofa which totally peeled after few month should have made us stay away. They ignored his calls to he's stuck with it. We were assured in store this was a one off and needed to sign. When I got back and read reviews it's not a one off at all..

Brought carpets from scs took day of work and they cancelled fitting.Got another date which was meant to be today and they rang and cancelled yesterday.... what is going on with these people my. Brought carpets for whole house and a three piece suite......Definitely thinking about cancelling the whole lot now and going elsewhere

Poor quality products that are massively overpriced compared with the other sofa shop a few doors away. Aggressive commission based selling of unwanted add ons and when we tried to cancel our order we were treated with rudeness and disdain. Unfriendly , unprofessional and unhelpful. I would definitely not go back and will tell everyone I know not to use this shop. Rude, rude rude.

The price was great for my new sofa,I was given the hard sell and assurance that the sofa would fit in my front door ,apartment but guess what it didn't,for 3 hours it was left on the doorstep in the rain until some other driver came to pick it up.Then came the attempt of taking it apart and putting it together in my apartment a week later l add,the cushions don't fit,the back of my sofa is stitched together appallingly .weeks later ,12 hours of my time trying to speak to people about this ,having to repeat myself time and time again because they keep passing me over to some other idiot to resolve the issue,I'm so very angry with such poor and inadequate people whom personally don't have a clue what they are doing.18 weeks I placed my order,I'm finding my sun loungers more comfortable would not recommend this company at all its appallingly customer service.

Paid £3000 for a sofa and started to.look tired and worn after a few months.We had an insurance police forces on us in store.(castle group insurance)They refused to pay out coming out will all.sorts of excuses.We are now putting in a claim through the courts. Avoid buying from SCS at all costs

lie lies lies missold carpet, bought a carpet at £20psm and had delivered £14psm, and evan sent wrong colour, terrible now refuse to sort or refund evan though we don't have a carpet fitted???

We tried our suite in store prior to purchase but were not told that the one we would get would take months to bed in and in the mean time be extremely uncomfortable. Plus the 3 seater sofa is only suitable for 2 people as any one sitting in middle is sat on wood and metal mechanism. I dread sitting on this suite its made my arthritis worse and I have permanent stiff neck. Scs not prepared to do anything. Totally disgusted

Terrible mess with the carpet service, which I was finally fitted in June after receiving 2 dates being changed and being messed around. Lino was incorrectly cut, stabbed my toe on an exposed nail and there is no free carpet fitting service, the price on the invoice was less than what I paid to the fitters! I've received promises advising would rectify and compensation, which have never happened. Terrible and stressful

We bought a corner couch and chair both motorised - after 8 months the fabric started to fail and fall apart - spent the last 6 months trying to get some customer service - to no avail They sent an independent technician to inspect who said it was clearly a fabric issue and nothing we had done.He did warn us however that the company would try to blame us and take no responsibility. Several weeks later we were told that it must be miss use Initially offered to recover failing area - then later told they wouldn’t do anything We have been told it is not their fabric at fault . Bear in mind we have still got the previous couch that we used in exactly the same way for 8 years - there isn’t a mark or any wear on this one. We are not overweight as a family - we have our own business so work from 6am till 6 pm - so we do not sit on the couches all day every day . What a waste of £3000 I will be doing my best to protect anyone I come across from having the same misfortune as me. BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY I am still waiting for a manager to ring me back ‘ as promised ‘ but was told it would be 15 working days That was 5 weeks ago Please see Facebook group SCS Sofa and furniture complaints With over 2000 unhappy members

Do not buy anything from SCS ordered 2 carpets, 4 seater sofa, snuggle chair and footstool 02/02/2020. Carpets were fitted (good quality carpet but fitting was shoddy) furniture arrived beg of March and was immediately rejected as it wasn't what we ordered. Was told someone would call, they didn't so had to go back into store. Wish we had cancelled there and then but was persuaded to order again. Finally delivered 25th July. 2 cushions were not fitted correctly marks on chair, feet loose and falling off , bare staples on inside of chair, creeks all over when you sit down and the list goes on and on. Aftercare keep wanting to send someone else out (that is when when you finally get through) emailed exec team and they don't respond. I cannot keep taking days off work at my expense for something that has clearly been thrown together. If I could give them less than 1 out of 5 I would! Not been able to get through to customer service/aftercare tells you something. Avoid at all costs!

Please, please do yourself a favour and avoid this dishonest company, selling cheap Chinese shoddy goods. This review is an update from a review I wrote here 2 months ago now, concerning being sold a faulty 3 seater sofa from ScS Staples Corner branch in London. It is now 4 months since I reported my damaged sofa to ScS and have been given dates for repairs that have not materialised. So many excuses, parts delivered to wrong address, no technicians available from one month to the next. Delay tactics so they don't have to deal with you, hence they keep your money. I have sent many emails now to C.E.O. David Knight, ScS customer service manager and the incompetent repair service company they use called 'Homeserve', all to no avail. I have asked twice for a full refund which has fallen on deaf ears. I will have to fight to get my money back as this company is a complete RIP Off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hull SCS and their crappy fitters I had my vinyl fitted by SCS fitters on 30.06. The same day I made a complain that vinyl is unevenly cut. The fitters also took off boards on one side of the kitchen cabinets while on the other side they tried to cut vinyl straight to board. As a result they did it unevenly and left some gaps. After exchanging few emails I was eventually able to make an appointment with carpets surveyor on 18.08. I took a day off and no one came! No one called! I again sent an email and on 20.08 someone called that surveyor will come on 21.08. He didn't...the same was on Saturday. I spent all day at home waiting and then at 16.21 I received a text message that surveyor had some emergency and he wont come today he will come on Monday. So on Monday came the same man who fitted the vinyl and he accused me that I took off some kind of plastic from under the cabinets board and that's why the vinyl is unevenly cut. I said that I didnt take anything off. So he said that someone had to. But who? Holy spirit!? I live alone! So then he said I just need some sealing and will be fine. I told him that I dont want any sealing, that the point is that vinyl is unevenly cut with gaps and that also board is scratched. His answer was "you need a sealing because without it you will damage vinyl". So I asked why you didnt put the sealing after fitting and he replied that they dont do it straight away. So when for God's sake!? And if they dont put it straight away why no one told me that I need to put it later!? I really dont know what their fitter is accusing me of. The truth is he did a bad job and now he is trying to defend himself accusing me. That is not fair. I'm really disappointed. I sent an email to SCS describing this situation but they didn't even bother to response. The worst and unhelpful customer service and after sale care I had to deal with. Never ever SCS and their "specialists"...

Bought carpets for 3 rooms, was dissuaded by the carpet specialist to get someone out to confirm measurements. We were advised at the point of purchase fitters would lift carpet but not remove this. Fitters arrived and were surprised carpets were still down, they advised this was not the first occasion customers were misinformed. They were very helpful and did another job while I pulled up the carpets in a hour (thankfully I was able to do this alone, others may not have been able to do this). They returned and two of 3 carpets did not fit. Customer service were not helpful and there was no way to contact store direct. One member of staff at the store was very helpful the others I could only describe as arrogant and dismissive. In my first visit I felt like I was in an interview while the staff member made notes and questioned me, he was clearly trying to negate the store and was trying to 'trip me up' in my answers (he failed at this but appeared to be taking great pleasure in this). At no point during the various visits did the manager come out to help, we were informed he was in the store out the backand he was aware of the issue as it was discussed in the morning meetings. We were told new carpet and fitting would be at least 6 weeks, so we changed carpet for quicker fitting as we had bare floors and all our furniture in the lounge. A week later no news as promised, went to store and they forgot to put urgent on order form! Another weeks wait. Finally got them fitted, fitters were brilliant and carpets are great value. However customer service is questionable and we only got a favourable outcome as a result of many calls, numerous strore visits, not backing down and accepting the opinion of members of staff. Would never use again based on customer service, product was fine. If you like stress, inconvenience and being spoken too like you are a child then go for it!

After a week and half the cushions started going flat. Needless to say after many emails of me rejecting the settees I finally won. If you don't believe me please look at the Facebook group SCS SOFA & FURNITURE COMPLAINTS. How there still selling shoddy furniture is beyond me

Ordered New Yorker mare he 2020 from Dudley store told by sales man George yes it’s available in red. Ok we will have it in red. Deposit paid at shop. We questioned the size of sofa as we were unsure it would fit through front door. We were advised yes item comes in two parts no problem. I measured my door width & got back to them within the week as requested. Sofas will fit through door. I asked to see leather sample in red. Sent by post but it was a ox blood red & not pillar box red as Scs showed in shop. Went back to scs week later to show them what colour sample sent and the Manager at Dudley Scs said yes it is available in red, I will see that it is changed. I telephoned scs customer service to ask to see red sample again ox blood red posted. I telephoned to explain only for my query to be emailed up the chain at scs. Months went by with no true confirmation that this sofa was availalble in pillar box red so I telephoned scs to see the sample in pale grey. Manager Az from Dudley store telephoned me in June to ask when I want the chairs delivered I asked if this sofa was ever available in red but never really glad a reply so I confirmed by email that I would like the New Yorker in pale grey which I confirmed by email. Sofas delivered 21/08/2020 & it didn’t go well. Sofas too big to easily fit through door & lots of pushing & shoving. We were advised by scs that because they arrive in two parts there would be no problem. We sat in the shop on them & were shown what would come apart in order for them to fit. The chairs are sitting in my living room with scuffed leather to front/ back arms, wooden foot scrapped White painted on hallway wall. Two o seater not joined properly . Electric motor in single seater not working on Monday. Both sofas squeak. Logged problem by email & inspector can’t come out til 23/09/2020 or if there’s a cancellation. Rubbish service from beginning to end. They got our money & we not got what we thought we were buying in shop.

I'm still waiting for scs to repair my sofa . I paid for the extr guarantee still no sign of any repairs. The sent a very nice man out 14 days ago. He said if I hadn't heard from them by the Monday to contact scs as they have all the infornation regarding mr leather sofa. I have emailed them but guess what no response. Do not but from this company
