In February 2023. We ordered a lovely sofa for our holiday home. A home that is privately used and not rented out. The sofa was delivered in April 2023 - Within 4 weeks, cushions had split and the staples that hold the material under neath had come apart. The sofa had been sat on twice. Many phone calls later and an incredibly sarcastic and unhelpful male advisor, a refusal of help re repair dates. I have had to go to the ombudsman who has taken on the case. We are now in November 2023 and we have now had our brand new sofa repaired but still no sign of the agreed compensation

I don't normally write reviews but on this occasion I feel the need to...I had my hallway carpet fitted...I was told to take up all the old grippers on the stairs and landing, otherwise they would not fit the carpet, My grippers were virtually in great order but i ripped them up which took some effort...The two men thst came round to fit the carpet established at the time of fitting that I was single (women on her own)and did a rubbish job of fitting carpet, no grippers, not much glue as carpets lifts...I complained to SCS and guess what, they wanted to send the same two guys back out to me to put it right...I felt uncomfortable with this, these guys even tried to sell me carpet from back of their van for other rooms in the house....I won't use them again

The seat cushion is not of satisfactory quality. Had an upholsterer to have a look, he said that the foam was of poor quality, and should be replaced with a foam with a 30.35 ILD. They replaced the foam with the same poor quality. I complained again this time the technician said, they won't replace the foam with a better ILD as this is what I payed for. I Disagreed with the decision, he then said that he will put in his report that the chair had no faults. I would like to point out that the chair in the showroom was of far better quality. I have to be the biggest Sapp on the planet paying a total of £870 for a chair that is worse than the one I gave away.

Bought 2 G Plan sofas which still smell 6 months after delivery. I have raised the issue 3 times, received a visit from a technician who advised he never smells an issue. In my opinion they are charlatans!

Poor customer service. After care waste of time, wife rang wrong number but was transferred to after care, no answer 50 minutes. rang further twice same result. Asked for a call bk twice. Both times called and hung up. 3months old felix 3 seater power and power chair. Stuck in upright position, there is power to the chair but no operation from buttons. Even called at local store Drakehouse sheffield. No help there either. I wish I'd gone to Dfs. 🙄. Poor customer service when it comes to aftercare. I assume I'm going to have to make yet another phone call.

Had our settee 4 weeks and leather has stretched so much you can't get comfy on it. Think it is called puddling. It's absolutely dis gusting that SCS won't do anything about it. Its like sitting on a very lumpy cushion. The leather is stretching all over the settee.

Just had carpet fitted, the fitters say it is faulty as it is coming away from the backing. Have rung Scs and have to send pictures. Very disappointed as not a cheap carpet and will have to go to trouble of moving all the furniture again. They say that someone will be in touch, I hope this is settled quickly.

Absolutely and totally unsatisfactory service from ordering to installation of our carpet,we ordered living room and stair carpet from scs Ipswich we paid in full received an email with wrong carpet quoted on order,to be fair I should of cancelled at that point, rang scs they assured me it would be the right carpet and it was an error, when carpet was to be laid carpet fitter rang to say the stair carpet had delaminated but he came and laid living room carpet which was ok,rang scs to find out when stair carpet would be here they said needed to reorder 6 weeks later it was ready arranged a time for fitter on the day carpet fitter rang said van broke down and he wouldn't be coming to be fair he came on the Saturday to fit it,next day my daughter cut her foot on inspection all the spikes are coming through gripper rod rang carpet fitter he said he would come back never has-so there you have it very poor service, customer service are very poor, regret the whole experience. Please be warned I may have been unlucky but reading other reviews sounds like this is the standard.

Went along to my local scs to find a good quality solid sofa and chair the saleswoman recommended the Griffin range stating it was a good investment and would last many years. On inspection in the shop it was good solid high sofa but when delivered not the same quality within 3 days of my partner sitting on sofa the seats had gone soft and he felt as though he was sitting on the floor and struggled to get out of seat. I paid £2,600 for something that can't be used because its uncomfortable to sit on.

I went into my local SCS to look for a staircarpet. The first assistant was helpful and gave me the information about their current offers and discounts and talked through the type of carpet i wanted. But I can only assume that their pay is commission based: another assistant barged in and tried to take over; called me "luv" in a patronising manner and kept trying to get my attention by showing me carpets that were not at all what i wanted. In the end, he drove me out of the store with no sale for anybody!

My appalling customer experience included floor product not being to sample delivered direct to home, thus no SCS quality assurance/re-assessment of job, unimaginative and inflexible fitters, who aggravated fitting of not-to-sample product, very difficult three-way discussions, against the backdrop of poor communications and no follow-through, about partial re-fitting and further charges, and ultimately substantial unexpected personal costs of about 15% over initial price, finally to get a 3 week job done in less than 3 months, and after having to pay a final fee to the fitter who otherwise would not keep a previously agreed appointment; all rounded off by not being able to get through to SCS on the phone to try to talk rather than post this. Caveat Emptor

I purchased a sofa on 2nd October and still haven't received it. We changed the design 8 days after purchase because we couldn't cancel after 7 days and as such our statutory rights were invalid. Promised November, December, 13th January and after an email was sent to instruct me to pay the balance by the 13th of January to avoid delays to be followed two days later by an email stating it would be the 30th of January now but actually. All I get when I say I want to complain is a customer service person saying its not their fault its the supply chain and that we have to observe the contractual payment but they can make it up and mislead as they like. Oh and its my fault they had ordered a wrong chair and had to change it which caused more delays. They did give me a terrible sofa and chair to sit on at Christmas. And offered compensation of £50, then £100 on an order over £2000. Complete shambles. I hope Mr Llewyllen Bowen knows what a mockery they make of supplying a product carrying his name.

ScS are to be avoided unless you want loads of hassle and substandard furniture carpets not fit for purpose, when you contact them they dont give a dam i had to take them to court i won all my money back through the court, scs messed us around for nearly a year they try to wear you down so they dont have to deal with you and give you your money back they are the worst company i have ever dealt with.
