“They are the worst. Do not order from them. I am so bummed I didn't read reviews about them before I ordered. Hopefully others won't make the same mistake I did. There return policy is awful. Total nightmare! I was quoted $250 return to Australia for a dress that costs $380. I would give them 0 stars if it was an option.”

“Similar experience to others here. Ordered a dress and paid $780 for it. When it didn't fit, I had to pay $70 to ship it back and they only refunded me $650. It says in their policies you'll be refunded "less any taxes and shipping." How is it legal to not refund someone the tax they paid on an item?! I've never experienced that before. Will not be supporting this company ever again. Can't dispute it with my credit card company either apparently if it's in their policy. Wish I had read all these reviews before I purchased.”

“Horrible. Dress was much lower quality and when I tried to return from the United States it cost me almost $100. Shona joy refused to return the full amount after almost two weeks of waiting. They would only refund me $640 when I paid $795 PLUS $100 to ship it back. What a gross way to run a business.”

“Do NOT order from Shona Joy! Not only was the quality terrible, but they do not provide return shipping options. You need to arrange this yourself. I paid $180 to return one item via FedEx. This was the cheapest option - no insurance - I took a risk even returning. Once my piece got there, they charged me a ludicrous $30 dry cleaning for a mark I absolutely did not make. Then when I was finally refunded, $119 was missing from my refund. It it truly terrible customer service. I lost half the value of my $600 item due to fees for a piece that looked nothing like the item pictured!”

“I paid for an item that I never received my order. They blame the carrier who is absolutely not cooperative. Result, I paid 150 dollars for an item that I never received and no help was given to me. I'm really angry with this site, they clearly lack professionalism”

“I spent $80 to return my item from Ny on usps and Shona joy also didn’t pay me $60 in taxes. Normally the company bears the cost of taxes. I will never be ordering from this company again.”

“Absolutely appalling "customer service". AVOID at all costs. I returned a top (that I hadn't even worn because I no longer needed it), paid 40 EUR to post the return, and Shona Joy are demanding that I pay a 30 USD dry cleaning fee because I apparently "stained" the top. I hadn't even tried it on - It went straight back in the shipping bag. So this is simply not true. They refused to take my word. I ended up giving up and accepting the dry cleaning fee so I could at least get some of my money back. In reading the other comments it looks like I'm not the only one that this has happened to. I will NOT be ordering from here again. Total scam.”

“The worst company I have ever came into contact with. I read there return policy before my purchase but hidden in there which I didn't see since its almost hidden is the fact you have to pay for your return to Australia ($236). ALSO they deduct from your refund the original cost of shipping ($160.) More than the cost of the dress. The customer service is horrid! Never purchase from them”

“Do not purchase from this company. Their return policy is horrific. You must pay for your own return to Australia. One shipping service was charging me over 300.00 dollars for shipping. I think Shona Joy has this horrible policy so that you just end up keeping the item!”

“This website is a complete scam. I ordered a dress that was nearly $400 and they tried to tell me it could only be exchanged for store credit when their policy very clearly stated the opposite. FedEx tried to tell me it would be $170 to return the dress. Absolutely do not buy anything from here if you live in the US.”

“Worst shopping online experience ever. I ordered the first time my size (10). The items came wayyy too big and were fitting really bad in any way. Then I paid for the return. Got a credit note. Went to the shop to try other items to check what was my true size with this brand. Got everything in size 6 or 8. Ordered online what I wanted in size 6. Received wayyyyy too small. Paid the return again. Got a credit note. Just spent this credit note in size 8 because it is in between the two other sizes that I tried. NOW It came again way too small and I can't get a credit note because it was the final sales. I lost 500$. Worst brand EVER. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN.”

“Having had online shopping experiences in the past, I had reasonable expectations. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Shona Joy's customer service was extraordinarily disappointing. I had several issues with an order I placed online. Notably, a dress with a hole in the back seam, another that didn't fit as per the presented size chart, and, incredibly, one dress that was entirely absent from my package. I've been emailing with a representative named Poppy since Monday, Nov 13, at 2:57 PM. Unfortunately, the ongoing back-and-forth has continued up to today (14/12). What's baffling is the conclusion of these exchanges: "Thank you for getting in touch. We are in the process of checking the weight of the parcel that left our warehouse against the weight of the parcel that Aus Post delivered. If the weights match, we will be closing the investigation. Kindest Regards, Poppy." Let it sink in - this is after my strenuous efforts of sending 10+ emails filled with photographs and multiple compliances to their requests over the span of a month. It's frankly disheartening that the proposed solution narrows down to parcel weight comparison, leaving my tangible issues overlooked. I'm feeling rather dismissed, undervalued as a customer, and regretful about my choice of this company.”

“Whilst the dress was beautiful, don't expect to be able to wear more than once. I ordered the 'LA LUNE BIAS COWL MIDI DRESS - TERRACOTTA' for a wedding I was bridesmaid in. I followed the care instructions, carefully hand washing the dress in cold water with very mild soap. I knew it was a risk washing it but figured if I followed the instructions it would be fine. Upon the dress drying, piling began to form and the shine is completely gone from the material. I understand that there is a risk this may happen, but if so the instructions should state dry clean only not that you can hand wash this dress. Beware that washing the dress will ruin it. I am beyond upset and frustated in the quality of this dress, with an expensive price tag you expect good quality and to be able to wear the dress more than once. I reached out to their customer service and was relayed the wash instructions. I let them know twice that I followed exaclty what they stated and how upset I was that this had happened and then they chose to not respond for weeks. I followed up again and the least they could do was provide me a 10% discount code. Beware that you may aswell buy the cheaper knock off dresses rather than the real deal as atleast if they dont last long you aren't wasting as much money as this! Judging by other reviews and what I have seen in bridal groups across facebook, this is a very common occurance which they arent willing to rectify in their care instructions. Really upset at the lack of care and the major acting of entitlement from this company.”

“I bought this dress three weeks ago, tried it on once and returned it back. Upon returning this dress back, I was sent photos of a totally different dress. When I first tried this dress, I found it was too big for me. The email they had returned to me stated that the dress had two holes in it and therefore they couldn’t refund me my money back. Basically, they’re scammers. Don’t bother looking at their dresses cause they’re trashy as hell and if you have a problem they’ll just make up an even bigger problem just to take advantage. The price expensive the quality so cheap Do Not Buy From Shona Joy”

“Shona Joy forest dresses are beautiful. However, this is the third time I tried to order bridesmaids dresses with Shona Joy. At all occasions I had to pay for my own return shipping and could not get a refund only a credit note. I think it’s pretty ridiculous that a brand that only sells online does not allow you to try the dresses on at home and return (for free) if they don’t fit or at least exchange the colour or size. This has made it difficult to find good dresses. The size restocks also did not happen when customer service said they would, so they did not deliver on this promise leaving me with the decision to either wait until January and risk not having bridesmaids dresses or order another colour and style altogether. With my wedding coming closer I had to decide to send them back and change my colour again. The colour of the dresses in Shona pictures are not at all representative and both the sage and olive have a more silver undertone. Forest is much closer to the sage/eucalyptus colour theme I was going for. I am happy with the final result, but the girls have had to make lots of concessions not getting their style of choice due to limited size availability. At a steep price this is something to think about when ordering. Nevertheless, we now have gorgeous high quality dresses. Yay!”
