Poor management = harassment! Hostile environment if you are not accepted in the "in" group. Just a bunch of miserable people.

Everything is fine - except cashier #930906704 at Steinmart #279. She’s a negative, aggressive person who has no business in this position. I’ve complained via email about her to the company.

I bought a bag for my wife from STEINMART and had to return it because it wasn't the right size. I paid $ $61.82 and received $ $45.80 Refund. When I call to inquire about the difference, they say I had to pay for return delivery and they claim they can't return the taxes I paid. This is BS. Stay away from these crooks. You can buy the same bag brand name in many stores for the fraction of what they charge (Burlington, etc). Stay away from these crooks. Their ratings are terrible. They suck!!

Received a dress that cost $41.00, very pretty .. It did not look good on me! Went to return through the mail as no stores in my area, costs me $15.00 just to return the dress two days later! Way too expensive when other stores send a free shipping label. Not happy

The employees do not know how to exchange for the same item with the one size larger. Bad service.

The website shows items are there for in store pickup. But they are not. Then you go to submit the online order and it tells you the credit card is denied. Not that the item isn’t in the store. I call the credit card and they say the website is wrong the card is fine. I call to place the order on the toll free number and get a man with food in his mouth and a 3rd grade IQ. I had to repeat everything 2x or more. In the end he got the same message - credit card error. Needless to say the store lost my 100$ plus sale. Oh the best part I said in store pickup and the person who was taking my order asked why don’t you get it delivered? Like it was any of his business! Totally strange person with no manners.

Do not order online!!!! Placed order, confirmed, got partially shipment ( okay with that). Opened package, ordered 2 of one item, only got one, confirmation said 2 shipped. Called customer service, she sounded mad to start. Told her story, asked if they could add missing item to remaining shipment. BIG NO, and not polite. Asked why, told they do not do that. I would have to reorder. ???? So now I have to pay $7.99 shipping on a $6.00 item, because someone couldn’t count?? I already paid for first item. No offer to credit me for missing item. So now my $6.00 item has cost me $21.00. Next phone call will not be pleasant. BEWARE THEY DO NOT CARE, ARE RUDE, THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will never shop with them again, in store or definitely not on line. RATE THEM -10

Terrible customer information. Ordered an item on 12-11-19. Paid $12,49 for 2-3 day delivery. I needed this sweater for Sunday for church. Was notified it will come on Tuesday. Steinmart and UPS is open and deliver Sunday through Saturday. Nothing on site saying excluding Saturday or Sunday. I would of never paid $12.49 for shipping if I knew this. Shame on you Steinmart.

I ordered something for my mother over a week ago and the reason I ordered from this site is because it had five day shipping guaranteeing it to be here at least a week before Christmas after the 5 days I didn't receive my item I looked online and saw that it was still pending I called the office every day for the last six days and they kept telling me it would be shipped out that night and to call back the next day if it wasn't finally today they told me they weren't sure if they had the product and we're trying to get it from an outside vendor and that vendor hadn't shipped or responded yet so I asked for cancellation so I could get the gift from somewhere else in time by Chris State old me they would not cancel and told me they couldn't tell me anything else about my order or when I would receive it thanks a lot Steinmart

I ordered a product over a week ago and it was guaranteed to be shipped and to me within 5 days and 5 days later I got an email that it was delayed so since it's a gift for Christmas I ordered from their site knowing that it would be there and now it's not I called to cancel they won't let me cancel the order they say that they are not even sure if they have the product and they're getting it from another vendor and haven't heard from that vendor yet and can't tell me anything so I will not be getting the gift by Christmas and I will not be getting a cancellation or return Thanks Steinmart

I really love Steinmart and shop there quite often, but what good is a 14 hour sale when you do not get the mailer until after sale is over. I live in the 30068 zip code.

the manager and an employee set me up to harrass me on purpose and what they did they told a shopper who stood behind me at check out. she pointed her finger at the sign to stand behind the line which i did it was barley over the line and did not see the sign but i did stand waiting to be next. what is the problem?? the shopper did not say a word to me and just pointed her finger at the sign and gave me a smirk then the lady manager and employee were standing behind that shopper watching and staring at me. sick morons who would do such a thing like that?? they must be in the 60's stone age to harrass people who have disabilites?! what a shame! that happned at stein mart in phx, az on cactus road at paradise village parkway. Store #00398 on 12/12/19 at 3:01 pm and have the recipt for proof.

Very misleading claims about returns and refunds. They claim it’s free and easy. Neither is true. Basically, If u buy online be positive you have the size, color and fit correct because I’d not you’ll be sorry.

Made a $119.00 purchase. Asked the clerk if there were any coupons available for my Friday puchase. Answer was no. Get home check my mail box and there is the $10 off coupon. Take my puchase back to the store on Sat. The argumentative clerk says no to giving me my $10 discount. Says they must return the merchandise to the sales floor. Can't rering it. Get a manager involved and I get my $10. But there is also a $10 coupon for Sat. She will only give me the $10 for the Sat coupon. They certainly don't know what is fair to a customer. When I specifically asked the clerk on Fri if there were coupons. She then tells me u can get them on your phone..ok why wouldn't you tell the customer this when they are asking about coupons. They are definitely not into customer service like their competitors of Kohls and Macys. Beware if u are shopping there. Not a good experience especially dealing with a clerk who has an attitude.

I place a order about 2 days ago and the price went down. I called and asked for a credit. Of $3.57 being I haven't received the merchandise yet. They refused to give me credit after spending over $241 and I was gonna use the credit to place another order. The customer rep was rude and especially the so called supervisor Lenora who refused to give me her supervisor name or phone #. I will not be ordering from them again!!!!

I ordered an item online. It never arrived. I reached out twice to customer service and never heard back at all. At the very least they should help me open a case with the shipping carrier who insures shipments of that value.

My first and will be only experience with Stein Mart was an online order. I had gotten a gift card which in itself was delayed after being ordered, due to issues on Stein Mart's end according to the person who ordered it for me. It took almost two weeks to show up in my inbox. After putting several items in my cart and creating an account I went to pay. The total was $100 to be paid with gift card and around $0.08 to be paid with Paypal. Only when I hit the button to confirm order the screen repeatedly went back to the start of the process. Once it even doubled all the items in my cart. I contacted customer service, who took a few days to get back to me and didn't offer me help or a coupon for my trouble but said they had tried to replicate the issues themselves and it was probably my own fault for using the wrong internet browser and to try again on a different one. I was using Chrome. I was frustrated but unwilling to give up $100 since I was trying to buy holiday gifts. Two days later I tried again and this time it went through but they now refused to honor my welcome coupon and I had to pay around $7 through Paypal (almost 10 times the cost if the order had went through the first time). I got an email that my order was being shipped. The day AFTER my shipping notification I got another email saying that an item I'd ordered had been cancelled from my order. I couldn't understand how they had first shipped it and then cancelled it, but at this point I had no confidence contacting support would get me anywhere. When my order showed up there were several items missing, not just one, and I never heard a word about any of them. A few weeks later I got two separate gift cards in the mail, both for six dollars and a few cents, with no apology or explanation or anything. No refund to Paypay for tax or shipping on the cancelled items. Original gift card at a zero balance. I thought I might be able to get one more gift with the $12 they sent back but they wouldn't honor the free shipping that went with my original order and I'm not going to pay any more money to fool around with this company. In the fifteen years I've been doing the majority of my shopping online and I can honestly say that this was the worst experience I've ever had.
