I have been so very happy coming back to shop at Stein Mart this year. First of all the employees have been wonderful and friendly. I have found so many things I love in dresses and even bought shorts which I haven’t bought in years. Laura was especially helpful to me on two occasions. Everyone has been outstanding and cheerful at the Augusta Georgia/ National Hills store. The Encline and the Lauren dresses have been wonderful and easy to find in my size which is a 14 now. The prices and sales have been outstanding. I ordered online as well as visited The store on several occasions. Thank you so much. Della Mcelveen.

I just walked out of stein mart where I always shop. I drove 25 min after I called and they said they were open to shop! I wasn’t sure due to Covid. Even though rioting is acceptable, lol I picked out my clothes, Went up front asked which dressing room was open? I was told you can’t try clothes on. Well, most women need to so I handed them back and said I can’t purchase something I can’t try. She should have said “ I’m so sorry for the inconvenience “. Instead she looked at me like I’m being unreasonable Lol She was rude. I will not shop Vero beach again, not because I can’t try clothes on even though u should tell that to people on the phone, and everyone is touching the clothes anyway, but because she was rude, poor customer service.

Placed orders with Stein Mart twice this month for same day pick up in the store. Waited 4 days for the email but never received it. When arrived at the store, the manager was very upset and rude with me for not waiting for the email that pick up order is ready. Really?! In four days?! Then placed another order for same day pick up. Waiting for 5 days already, not sure when and if I will receive the email to pick up my stuff. Called customer service this morning, they assured me that someone will contact me today. Never happened...Love the store but customer service is horrible. It will be my for sure my last experience with the Stein Mart...

I ordered a robe for my father’s 90th birthday which was June 5th. While it arrived in time for me to give it to him, it had the security device still attached and so it couldn’t be gifted. I had to scramble to order a gift from a different company since I didn’t have time to do an exchange. When I first called customer service I explained the situation and was given a free return shipping label, which was expected. I also asked for the original shipping cost be refunded since I received merchandise that I couldn’t use. That didn’t happen, so I called customer service once again and was told I’d be issued a refund. It’s been almost 2 weeks and I’m still waiting. Unfortunately, my first shopping experience with Stein Mart will be my last. And the only reason I rated it 2 stars is because the customer service people were extremely nice.

I love the merchandise and prices, but the customer service at the Gilbert, AZ Store on Val Vista is The Worst of any store I’ve shopped. There are a couple of excellent employees, but the rest are rude, obnoxious, and even combative. I shop there regularly and make Many purchases. I’m Never greeted, and avoid asking for help because of the attitudes of the employees, including assistant managers. With the many shopping choices available, I think Steinmart should value its customers and make shopping an enjoyable experience. Perhaps more customer service training? I will say I have gone to other SteinMart stores on occasion and had a totally different, positive experience each time. Wish my neighborhood SteinMart could be the same!

Poor selection and what they have in stock tends to be low-quality merchandise. When I went to purchase a hat yesterday I found my SteinMart card had been closed due to inactivity. Well, I have been in your store many times and it is always the same dismal selection. Your menswear is especially sparse and poor quality, like Alan Flusser suits that have puckered seams making them look like rumpled dumpster finds. With a better selection of merchandise I might have used my card more. I won't replace it. I can live perfectly well without SteinMart. Good riddance.

Being that the economy is bad you would think they need their customers for business. The tallahassee florida store is horrible. I was not greeted when I entered the store the cashier just looked at me while she watched us pass her. The two employees on the sales floor ignored us while we were shopping for comforters. My husband wanted to leave without saying why but I already knew the reason. It was one young black man that assisted an older black lady. I guess my money wasn't good enough for them and I wanted to buy clothing because it was more me at this location. Be nice to your customers regardless of their color they are only putting money in your pockets.

Steinmart.com is a complete joke. What a waste of time! I wish I would have read the reviews. They sent me the incorrect shoe. I feel they did that just to take my $, or in the hopes I might like the style they sent me - wrong. Someone obviously can't read! I spoke to 6 reps today before any help. Even called Corporate, which was a huge waste of time, as well! They want to keep your money, and it takes forever to get any answers or refund, etc. Why should they not credit my $ back for a mistake they made? Supposedly, UPS is going to send a pre-paid label to me in 48 hours. I will believe it when I see it! Not only was I hung up on by a supervisor today, but told stores were open and to return them there, which they are not open because of COVID. I also am unable to purchased the same shoe for the amount I paid for them. Daniel in customer service was the only person who seemed to know what the heck he was doing. I would suggest spending part of your $318 billion you make, Steinmart, on a new online business plan, training reps and teaching customer service. You don't treat your customers like this. I will never order anything from your website again! Terrible and super sketchy.

They sent me a damage luggage full of scratches and had a sour odour inside. When i returned the item back they did not reimburse me my shipping fee that i paid when they said they would! Stein Mart are a bunch of liers! This was my first time and never again will i buy from them!

I ordered a pricey curtain rod and received the wrong color. I have tried many times to call and email Steinmart, and get no answer and no response. They're service is REALLY BAD.

My issue is the lies from the online customer service. No accountability. I purchased several items a couple of weeks ago and the items shipped fairly quick and the actual items ordered were okay. My concern is when I placed my initial order the bank holds the total amount of the order and it sits in a pending status and it is deducted from my availabke balance in my account. My orders had all shipped and I spoke to a few folks in customer service and I was advised the hold for the funds would be released once my items all shipped out and once their was movement on the ahipment the pending amount should fall off. Keep in mind I was charged for each individual item that shipped out again. Steinmart wanted no accountability when I called back the next day to advise everything had shipped and there is movement on the orders (pkgs) and the original purchase amount in pending status had not fallen off nor had the amount changed.... I spent days trying to figure out whats up between calls to steimart and my bank. Again as I stated steinmart tried to advise they have nothing to do with the hold and blah blah it is the bank and my bank finally advised me the hold of my initial order amt will fall off on the 15th of may ... so like tomorrow. The bank advised that is when they show steinmart allowing for my funds to come off the pending hold and be put back into my available balance. Two or three weeks steinmart had them hold my funds and they charged me for each individual item that shipped again it made it feel as if I double paid them. They are just liars and the online customer service is horrible and the infamous "Thomas" a.ka. "customer service manager" is useless and not helpful and just denies any accountability. I will never shop in the store or online ever again. I will not recommend the store to others and I will utilize my time to inform others just how horrible they truly are.

I have been a customer of Stein Mart for many years and I used to be overwhelmed with the selection. I remember I would take about 10 pieces in the fitting room and I had hard time choosing, and most times buying them all! I visited lately my local store and it looked like a street market. Very poor quality, bad taste, extremely main stream repetitive clothes. I asked an employee if they had a shirt in larger size and her response was 'everything is out', not offering to order it on line for me. Also the fitting rooms were not accessible 'for our safety'. What a bunch of c...p excuse my French. So I can't try the smaller size and I have to drive 20 miles back home and if it doesn't work to come back and return it? What is the safety of merchandise that people return when bought in the mail? Just curious... Sorry but I will not shop there again. Our life is difficult enough with what's going on, we don't need this.

Absolute horrible shipping service pure lies!! You WILL NOT get your order on time. They say they use UPS but they pass it off to the USPS and your order will be everywhere EXCEPT where it is to be delivered. Do NOT order from here!

I ordered Erika capri in what they call a cherry red. What I received was like a Salmon color. I called the company to let them know the color is not what it says it is. I really don’t think the person I talked to even cared. I like the color I received but really wanted the red one, also did not receive a return label. I told the person I was not going to return it , he then asks me if I wanted a return slip. Guess he had other things on his mind or he forgot I said I was not going to return it? I will not be buying from them again.

I placed an online order...received confirmation and then five minutes later received a CANCELLATION of one of the items. I needed that item for a bedroom. It was like ordering a pair of shoes and having them cancel the right shoe but sending me the left shoe. I immediately got on the phone and waited for a service rep and the manager who told me that I could not cancel the order...that it was already processing. It is ok for THEM to cancel but not the customer. I was told to return the items when the stores reopen. What a waste of time and money for Sten Mart. They will pay for the shipping and I will have to spend time returning it when it could have easily been corrected WITHIN minutes of their cancelling me. I will not use them again. I would be hesitant about ordering online.

I love Steinmart! I shop there almost exclusively. Their styles are trendy yet they also have classic styles. They have a great variety, prices are very reasonable, staff is friendly. Returns are easy. And I’ve never had a problem with online shopping. Usually receive orders earlier than expected. Can’t wait til they reopen.

Your reviews say it all .... I look for this company to be out of business soon. It has blown my mind that a company can actually treat paying costumers this way and get away with it. It should be illegal .

I should have read this reviews before I placed my order on line. I ordered 2 items, 1 was ok the second was not what I ordered, I called to see if I could purchase the item I originally ordered, they placed the order, they charge me again, I was on the phone 25 minutes and when they sent me the confirmation to the new order, it was again the same item I have and I want to return, I immediately reply to the email, to please either send me what I ordered or cancel the order, I sent 3 or 4 emails, they were completely ignored and today I got the email that the wrong item was shipped again! I learned my lesson, will never, ever, ever order steinmart online again. I shop online a lot, I never had an experience like this, shame on you Stein mart.
