bought 5 rasbury plants onley one grew contacted suttons told my refund would be paid within1 -2 weeks never recieved it after conversation on phone said i had left it to late after i had been tod they would not refund me ie they offerd me 10 pounds my advice stay away from thi co

Garlic bulbs ordered 4th October should have arrived 24th October 28th still not arrived after emailing I have now been advised order should be with me 10 to 14 day's. This is my first and last time ordering from you guy's.

JUST WANT TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU 😊 FOR THE ORDER I RECEIVED OF SPRING BEDDING AND BULBS. THE WALLFLOWERS, VIOLAS AND BULBS WERE OF EXCELLENT QUALITY AND SUPERBLY PACKED! I CAN CERTAINLY RECOMMEND SUTTONS FOR ITS CARE AND EXCELLENCE IN GROWING QUALITY PLANTS. I SHALL USE SUTTONS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. HOWEVER, I HAVE READ THE MANY PREVIOUS REVIEWS WHICH ARE OF MUCH CONCERN, AND CAN ONLY HOPE MY EXPERIENCE WILL BE SHARED BY OTHER CUSTOMERS ORDERING FROM SUTTONS!

Very disappointing paid for advertised in the Daily Mail for what should be large pansy plugs, only half of them have come to anything, was expecting a better show of flowers.

Awful plugs of bedding plants received, over 60% were either dead or badly wilted and small. Told they would replace them but still waiting and it’s October.

Suttons have been in business a very long time and their plants were always of high quality. It seems since they got together with Thomson and Morgan last year the quality has declined catastrophically as they have descended to the level of T&M whose name was never associated with quality. In the course of the last year Sutton's reputation has effectively been destroyed by this new set-up and judging by the latest reviews it can't be long before they fold.

Disgusted with this company. Ordered & charged but, NO Lime and Pear trees delivered apart from Irish bulbs with no delivery note attached! Tried emailing them but no answer!! Despicable!!

So disappointed. Swapped over to Sutton's during the pandemic as I had always used Sutton's seeds. Plants are not same quality. Latest batch arrived broken loose in a big box. So badly packed no instruction on driver which way up. Unable to find one plant that could be salvaged. Don't waste your money. This is not a one off just the final straw. I will never use again for plants or seeds. Will be telling my horticulture society to avoid too.

I think Suttons have taken too many orders with the boom in growing plants due to covid. Some of my plants were dispatched so late they will not mature. I have emailed a complaint but like others it has not been answered . I have been a customer with Suttons for well over 30 years but I will not order from them again they have changed for the worse.

I have been a customer of Suttons for years and used to be a really good company - not sure what has happened but a few months ago they changed their website and it will not recognise my email address even though I still get sent offer emails from them!! I have sent several emails asking them to addess the issue but they have not responded to any of them and they no longer have a customer service number to talk to anyone - I tried the one on their site but the options only put you through to the order dept and the salesperson just cuts you off if you try to talk to them about the issues!! I used to order plants and trees regularly from them, their loss as now I will go elsewhere - very disappointed!!

I ordered saffron bulbs in May and paid for them I later got told that they don’t get sent until August I am still waiting am I ever going to get them!!!!!!!!

Ordered delphiniums on 6/6/21 still not received. Received a lot of e-mails but still no plants. Best avoided as obviously rank incompetent.

WARNING This company has to be the worse company out there - avoid, avoid, avoid. I wish I had read the reviews before I placed my order for a pomegranate tree on May 24th. Like so many others my order didn’t arrive so I tried to query where it was. They delayed and delayed and lied and lied. Their website even said the item was out of stock but they kept on insisting I couldn’t have a refund until it was delivered and rejected! I cancelled the order but they ignored the cancellation. In the end I had to get my refund via PayPal. Thank you PayPal. A small parcel did arrive after I had contacted PayPal. Luckily I managed to catch the delivery person to tell them it had been rejected. Judging by the size of the box it couldn’t have contained the tree I had ordered. The whole process has taken months of stress. I will never order anything from them again. They are quick enough to bombard you with sales emails and offers and when you unsubscribe they send out junk mail instead! It’s a pity they don’t spend as much effort insuring that their customers actually received their orders promptly instead of wasting time on excuses and extremely poor customer service.

Ordered Plants, subjected to a Long delay, no communication until I tried to cancel, then informed that my order was being packaged for delivery, suggested not to send them out and refund me, but their process apparently is that they cannot overide their system but advised to refuse when delivered, still waiting for refund. Shocking customer service. First purchase, will NEVER order again. avoid, avoid avoid. If I could give a lower star rating it would be in the minus

Ordered in April perennials 72 for £14.99..+ £4.99 postage..arrived late july.. only 9 varieties ..not 12 as advertised..substitutes given..so I received 18 aquilegia .. The quality was shocking..dead…yellowed.. and if still living..tiny! I received replacement 72 plants.. these were in a worse condition than the first lot.. plus fewer varieties..more dead than alive.. I’ve sent pics countless ..msgs.. suttons.. ..no reply! Shocking way to treat customers. These were not of merchantable quality, not fit for purpose..not as described.. if I ordered a chicken from sainsburys then no way would they substitute my online order and send me fish… ! That’s me done with this company.. I hope others take heed of these genuine reviews..

Missing plants not refunded. Dead plants sent in a previous order. Did have £6 refund for them. 4 planted hanging baskets ordered and money taken on 9th July. 5 separate phone calls and an unanswered email to report non delivery of baskets. Cancelled order 16th July. Customer service said they were in dispatch, refuse delivery on arrival. Then I can be refunded as soon as carrier delivers them back. August 3rd now…no order came. I have escalated PayPal to retrieve my large payment refund. I have been repeatedly lied to by service staff because they always say they have refunded. So stressful, time wasting, and service does not exist. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS FIRM. BAD EXPERIENCE.

This company is a shambles,my father ordered plants back in april and they took the money from hes account in may.He never got the plants and after 6 phone calls has never got hes money back !!

Well my partner received the 'plug' plants 2 months late! They arrived and many were dead. It is far to late to put these VERY tiny little plants in, they are summer plants and at the moment no bigger than a finger nail. He received a refund after many many emails & phone calls. This company should be fined under trading standards. Recommended by Martin Lewis too, which is sad. Never ever would I use them again. Suttons were always a good company. What has happened?

Bought bedding plants as plugs they were so tiny you could hardly see them. Planted them on in post and then into tubs it is now nearly the end of July and they are awful. Also orders do not arrive on time. Ordered a tree for my daughter for delivery in November, it arrived in February. I am now awaiting geraniums which were supposed to be delivered at the end of June it is now nearly end of July and they still haven't arrived. The season will nearly be over so totally unsatisfactory. Tried to cancel order but they say they are in despatch, that was 2weeks ago, and they can't be cancelled but when they arrive to refuse delivery and when they receive them back they will refund. Road miles spring to mind...What a load of nonsence. I won't be ordering from them again
