“We were told that the whole process takes 2-4 hours after everything is uploaded. It has been 2 weeks now and they asked for extra documents - job contract. Most likely will take another 2 weeks to review that. And they said that they might not be able to review it by the move in date. Would not recommend because it takes veeeery long time to get approved.
My application process is fine but partner has a headache. We are due to move in in few days and each day we call them they say we dont know, we cant help, provide us this, provide us that and when all is provided they say that sorry but we have not received anything. We sent them by email, upload it on site, even letting agent sent them our documents but they keep telling that we do not have anything and you just need to wait and nothing is their problem. Would never recommend to anyone. I guess you can use it if you move in date is 3-4 months from the day you open lettingshub. Otherwise you will have a stressful time.”
“I have been a tenant, a houseowner and a landlord at various points, so I know how processes should go.
I recently moved to be closer to family and decided to rent until I got to know the area better and uploaded everything that Lettingshub asked for as soon as it was asked for. Job done I thought. How wrong I was! Endless issues regarding job contracts, demands to upload more info (which had already been uploaded), telling me that my employer hadn't provided a reference when I was cc'd on the email they sent to LettingsHub with that reference.
Emails sying things were completed, followed by emails the next day saying that I hadn't sent the things they said they had completed actions on. Extremely long waits to verify other references. Rude emails when I explained to them the issues on their side.
If I ever rent again, I will make sure that it is with an agency that doesn't use these muppets for checking details.”
““We make renting easy” : this is how they describe themselves on Instagram. The technology seems to be their best bet. THIS is all FALSE. The tech used is just a website with a bunch of forms. Real technology gets reference checks done in 1 day, not one month. UNBELIEVABLE!
Having said this, Lettings Hub is so unprofessional. I uploaded my documents and everything; the portal says all checks completed. I try to contact them, and every time someone tells me, “we don't have your references yet”, and they ask me to upload them again. I have sent my references via the portal and email, but the colleagues at lettings hub don't communicate with each other. My tenancy start date already passed, but they don't care...not even a bit. I'm now homeless because these incompetent people can't read an email from my employer N.B. If you have many applications to handle, don't get more applications, we tenants don't care about how busy you are. It's been a month behind this silly thing and you have all my reference documents. Apparently they just want to make money without taking care of their customers. I see people writing good reviews here... well maybe you were just lucky, maybe someone decided to read your references as they should.”
“Appalling. Ridiculous amount of due diligence for a student rental. As a guarantor have asked for 2 years data from my bank account, 3 payslips, copy of my employment contract and a reference from my employer when the rent liability is only 7200 GBP for the entire term of the contract. AND no one picks up the phone!”

“Would rate 0 if I could. Had the most terrible experience with lettings hub. We were meant to move into a new house in 2 days time but just found out this morning that apparently lettings hub have failed our referencing check!! I phoned them to try find out why but they refused to discuss the outcome with me! The whole process has been going on for around 3 weeks now. We provided them absolutely everything - 6 months bank statements, Tax returns, accountants reference, landlord reference. We earn a decent income and have always paid our rent and on time. Never have I ever experienced such a stressful and ridiculous referencing check! And then at the very last minute, we find out that we have failed their so called referencing checks and might now be homeless as we have given notice on our current house and was due to move in in 2 days time!! They’ve had our documents for weeks, we’ve given them absolutely everything. Our accountant had to reply to them numerous times with his reference. Absolute Joke of a company! Scam artists! Avoid at all costs”
“Acting as guarantor for my brother/father in law; horrendous experience! Forms are lengthy & intrusive, emails request information that has already been provided or is in-appropriate, uploaded documents are deleted & then re-requested. Had to involve the agents in the end as we reached stalemate with info they wanted over & above that which I was prepared to give purely as a guarantor; I could have got a mortgage & not given over so much personal info! I If I had this much trouble just as a guarantor, heaven help anyone who is looking to rent & their agents use this Company.”

“Entire application was extremely difficult, and many of the checks are invasive and uncomfortable. Agency are often unable to provide answers or will simply ignore you. They ask for so much information, even after having access to your entire bank account and bank statement. They also harassed my guarantor for a referee (someone superior him at his workplace) even though this could be highly inappropriate and a breach of professional and social conduct. It honestly feels like they don't want people to rent from them, given how difficult the overall process is. Would not recommend this agency.

“Reference part is impossible, gave them information 5 times and still the referees haven’t been contacted. Ask them what is taking so long and they say they are waiting on references... how can you get references if you continually fail to request them!! Having to chase them up twice daily on the phone because nobody responds to emails and still they haven’t requested references!! Only thing they were good at was taking the money. Looks like I’m going to have to lose my deposit and go elsewhere because these guys are incapable of getting it done”

References turned down without letting us know - we regularly had to check up with them because NOBODY communicated with us, we were in constant anxiety about losing the flat. If you get the opportunity to avoid this company please do at all costs. Please ignore the obviously bated google reviews. Slow, unhelpful + incompetent.”
