Incompetence and lies are what's on offer. So i purchased a bag as a xmas present- £40- and i received the wrong bag. Instead of having to wait for a refund after returning the item which takes almost two weeks ,i purchased another in the meantime to ensure i had the bag on time for xmas but before i even sent the first one back i received another wrong bag. So now i have two wrong bags no more money to buy another present or get the right bag elsewhere, (im a student on limited funds) . The wrong bag they sent twice was dreadful and not my choice or style . I phoned to explain and complain and got the rudest customer service ever, speaking to me as if it was my fault ?! Asking for a manager i was told i couldn't speak to one "because of covid?! That two year old chestnut . Then told i would receive a call within two hours which of course never came . There is little time and no money now to right my situation and HIP are apparently fine with this !! WOW no wonder they only have one and a half star rating on trust pilot eh ? I will NEVER EVER purchase from HIP again and i will make sure all my friends in college don't either . Rip off incompetent useless company have left me with no present to give and no means to fix the situation having to now return and wait for my refund , they have caused embarrassment and upset for me without even an apology or recognition never mind the compensation i deserve for this mess . Stay away avoid at all cost there are hundreds of companies out there that deserve your business and will give you no problems and show their appreciation by GETTING YOUR ORDER CORRECT . Its a simple process you would EXPECT from an online store. Now after this review Hip send me another Email address to send my issue by Email there and have to further explain and wait …… what a mess what a chore what a hassle I really don’t need . As I mentioned before , NEVER AGAIN !! Disastrous on every level

Hi, If you're someone like me who likes nice clothes, then I guess you're checking here with a simple question - is this a retailer you can trust or one to be avoided. Answer: avoid. There are loads of other places that sell the same brands - Peggs, Oi polloi, Kafka, End, etc who, in my experience are committed to building long-term relationships with customers. I'd advise you to support companies that care about their customers instead of buying from Hipstore. I won't give a step-by-step of my experience with them here as it's a bit of a saga, unless they put one of their PR band-aid replies after this review, in which case I'd be happy to write a longer review and explain the 3 customer service messages (unanswered), 12 emails, and 3 customer support phones calls, which all eventually resulted in the delivery being left on Saturday evening on a doorstep of a house next to a flat I don't live in anymore. When I told the customer service guy on the phone, I was worried it would be stolen as it had effectively been left out on the street and it would take me an hour to travel across London to collect it. He told me that it wasn't Hipstore's responsibility and the company recommends contacting the police if a parcel left next to the street is stolen... Amazing!!! Anyway - I'd recommend you save yourself the stress and shop with the more ethical and properly managed competitors you can find online.

Wouldn’t refund my shoes. They were In perfect condition and still wouldn’t refund me. Awful communication also.

15 days after "My order was dispatched" and would be with me shortly i have heard absolutely nothing. Avoid this site. Without a doubt my worst experience regarding online shopping, and will forward-looking always check for reviews before placing an order.

Terrible service, do not use this site. Twice I ordered a simple item, twice they sent me the wrong one with no real apology, I couldn't exchange, had to return and await refunds then reorder, the refunds were slow and erratic, I had to go to the post office multiple times. I just wanted to buy a pair of socks, what I got was months of hassle, stress, effort on my part, disappointment, and no socks. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Absolutely thieves! Ordered a pair of shoes sent completely wrong product. Returned with a firm they have sent me and now say they haven’t received and will not refund. This company is a joke!

I ordered a pair of shoes on 26/12/2020. It took them two months to deliver my order and by the time they did I had to pay extra 100 euros for vat and customs because of brexit. avoid the hip store at all costs

THIEVES - DO NOT SHOP HERE. Still waiting to be refunded a significant amount from a September 2020 return(review written Feb 21), 5 months later. I've had to issue a charge back via my Bank and will pursue further action if, as I expect, it remains unpaid. Hopeless, lazy customer service who accept no accountability and blame my bank or 'my account'.

I returned a product at the start of december and I am still waiting for a refund, despite various attempts to contact via the phone or through contact form. I either get completely ignored, or have to jump through so many hoops over the phone to get told that it is with another team that cannot be contacted, I have been told that a refund was being processed on the 8th Jan, and am still yet to receive a refund or any update from them. Avoid like the plague, i certainly won't be ordering from them again, and won't be through other JD sites as they all seem to go through the same place, awful.

I wish I’d read reviews before ordering from the Hip Store. Returned 2 items because they did not fit and only received refund for 1 of the items. They owe me £135 for an APC jumper and keep fobbing me off on email. Different people email back each time - no one actually helping.

PLEASE DO AVOID THIS WEBSTORE IF POSSIBLE My reasons: (1) Out of 4 orders I placed with them, they sent twice the wrong item (2) I returned one of the wrong item sent, they promised me to refund the return postage costs (I am outside UK) in Novembre, but I still didn't get anything from them (3) Extreme slow replies from customer care team, and when they do, they only bring you useless or answer I wanted to post this long time ago, and I am glad I finally did. Will never order from this webstore again

Untrustable website, item haven't been posted or accepted since the day it was ordered. It's been more than 22 days now. Asked for a cancelation and refund, they refused to do so. Everytime I email them it's always one of those useless "we're getting on it" and "no need to contact us" BS. Definitely would not recommend.

Ordered an expensive, gore-tex waterproof jacket. Turns out that this jacket wasn't waterproof in the slightest. Big water marks appear on the jacket when wet and remain there, stained, when dried. I sent the jacket back and 2 weeks later had it returned to me with a note saying there was nothing wrong with it. Avoid this company, absolute joke.

People were fine Performance was crap 10 working days after taking my money goods were not despatched. Can’t rely on their order tracking service. Can’t get a straight conversation, just emailed apologies Got my money back - won’t be shopping here again

I’ve sent so many emails with a different person each time replying, obviously an outsourced platform that actually can’t do anything... all reply’s are avoiding and delaying any kind of resolve, 3 weeks still no refund with goods delivered back. It’s a complete scam, trading standards and the ombudsman need to get involved. Hopefully someone sees these reviews before they get involved with this sham of a company.

Ordered on April 10th, estimated shipping time 14 to 30 days.... Tried to contact them several times. No answer. Finally got my items today July 24th. No belt on the shorts.

Product was billed when ordered January 7, 2020 and after 4 weeks I reached out to company as I did not receive it and I wanted to cancel and receive a refund. 2 days later company advised back to me when I do finally receive it I can send it back to them in China for a refund....however, I was to pay for shipping. over the weekend, the Leveler did come....warped. This plastic piece of junk is 100% not usable and I will cut my losses rather than try to return to China as damaged goods. In the future I will not click on any of the Facebook ads as these vendors are NOT vetted except for unsuspecting consumers like me. And the reviews on their website are all 100% satisfied. Really? save your money
