I feel like some of the staff on customer service are quite rude and are typical jobs worth definitely need some training in customer care also the manager came across the same

I ordered a ceiling light on the 6th January for pick up from store three days later the following week I had still not heard anything about it so went to the rochdale store to see what was happening and was told very abruptly it had nothing to do with them ring customer service can I have the number I asked once again was told very abruptly to Google it. So I Googled the number rang it and 53 minutes later Howard answered and told me that the light was delivered to store but none of the staff would sign for it so it was returned and it would be re delivered on the Friday for store pick up on the Saturday Monday morning still not heard anything so once again rang customer service 47 minutes later Lauren answered and told me she would look into it and put me on hold five minutes later the line went dead waited 20 minutes and rang again 37 minutes later got through and was told Lauren had emailed me to say she would look into it and email me back 2 days later and nothing so I wrote an email to the CEO Chris dawson that was returned undelivered god forbid he hear any criticism it is now the 26th January and still waiting. Please don't get caught like me do not order from this shambles of a company

Wrong colour doormat sent, they expect me to pay for the return via Royal Mail , or take to store. As an 85 year old, self-isolating that is not possible. To add further insult not a word about sending the correct item. I ordered a fawn coloured mat, they sent me a grey mat.

No shop alone policy being enforced to combat the spread of Covid. It seems the Range are happy to continue with the family outings

Purchased two pairs of curtains, packaging states £14.99, I was charged £15.99, returned one pair today 24/1 as didn’t need them and also ask for the refund for the £1 I was overcharged on the pair I kept. Was told it’s the ranges policy that they have 24hrs to correct the problem and that they don’t have to honour the payment. Karen from Colchester was very rude, wasn’t wearing a mask, it was just pinned to her name badge like it was a fashion statement! She wanted me to sign a receipt with the pen she was using, and if I didn’t she was just going to put the curtains back on my card unauthorised!! I asked her for a clean pen, she got very high rate, oblivious to the pandeamic going on around us! Manager was also very clueless!! Will not be shopping here again, I have found in past visits, staff to be very miserable and inexperienced! You really need to brief all your staff on government guidelines on how to wear a mask! Appalling behaviour from Karen at customer services! On duty manager, very bad attitude, not fit to be running a store if you are not abiding by the rules! But apparently the range have there own policy in place 🙄

Don’t order from the range! Awful company! Ordered 5 items, only 4 arrived but the box was big enough for 5. Invoice in the box also stated my order was 5 items. The range refusing to refund because the weight at warehouse matched the weight at DHL. Of course the weight is going to match if the warehouse didn’t pack my order correctly. The range now refusing to investigate it further with warehouse or check cctv! Disgusting excuse from such a high up company! I want my refund! Will be going to trading standards!

I bought three door mirror wardrobe… I bought three door mirror wardrobe waited three weeks to be delivered when it came the glass mirror door was broken the hinges were unbalanced the doors wouldn’t close. Rang them up spoke to management they said send pictures and will get back to you. They haven’t got none in stock left they would give me 10% off or to dismantle everything and they will pick it up with a refund I thought that was disgusting as I had already thrown away my old one and they weren’t helpful at all I tried to speak to someone but they said I can’t just write an email Order number -W4094457-1A-V

I’m a frequent visitor to The Range in the Rhyl store in North Wales and went in on 18th January 2021 to pick up some essential items before I went back to work. When I visited The Range in Rhyl I was met by a very rude middle aged women staff member who wanted to discuss the rules with me about one way etc. I started to walk off as I was in a rush due to being due at work and said I know the rules as I’m always in this store but thanks anyway and she said just stop now so I can tell you the rules. So i stopped and said ok please can you tell me the store rules then and then she sworn at me twice. I said something along the lines saying that it was wrong to speak to a customer like that and there was no need to swear. She then said I was thick which is very insulting. I was shocked and felt she was displaying angry and threatening behaviour so started to walk off for my safety and she started shouting at me saying I was an utter disgrace and was stupid. I then said that I was going to speak to a manager about her shocking behaviour. She then started mouthing off things which I could not understand but she did call me a vile human being. She then carried on mouthing off things to which I could not understand and walked away from the entrance to the store back inside of the store. I am shocked and utter disgusted at being treated like this. I’ve never been so threatened and insulted by someone who represents a store in my life. I spoke to a helpful person at the customer service desk and they ended up getting the Manager who was somewhat helpful and did apologise for this staff member’s behaviour however I do not feel that this is enough. The manger did say that things are tough at the moment with COVID. I understand that things are tough at the moment and I understand the strain this puts on people however I will not have someone think it is ok to speak, shout, swear and insult me in the manner that this staff member did. I ended up leaving the store and didn’t buy the items I needed. I ended up going to a supermarket to purchase my essential items and was treated with respect at this supermarket. I visit the Rhyl store frequently since it has opened and since the lockdown restrictions and every time I have respected the rules and every time I have entered the store the person at the door has always been professional and friendly except for this one staff member. I am saddened by the way that this staff member from the Rhyl store felt it was ok to shout, insult and swear at me in this manner. It takes two seconds to be nice to someone. I will never return to the Rhyl store again after this horrible experience. A staff member insulting and shouting at a customer is not ok and is very unprofessional indeed. This staff member seriously needs speaking to about the way they treat and talk to people. Shocking and disgraceful service from this staff member.

Customer service is almost non-existant, they haven’t yet found the telephone and email is slower than post by stagecoach. The Range delivered a broken mirror to me on Dec. 18 2020, they haven’t yet arranged to collect the damaged item or deliver a replacement and it is now Jan 18. They have accepted responsibility.

My wife bought a can of black chalkboard paint which was damaged but the saleswoman said that the paint is okay inside. But when opening the can, the can lid exploded which caused damage to my clothes, my eye aches and damage to my walls and ceiling. The case will be reported to the agency's standard

I bought a casserole dish from The Range online. When I receive it and opened it up this had a ADVISORY label which states it cannot be used on a stove / hob etc pretty much no direct heat. This does not suit my purpose. This was not stated on the description online either. So I contacted customer services via chat. their response was they will refund only the item cost. I as a customer has to pay for the postage. When I asked them why as this is not a customer fault, the item restrictions have not been listed on the description. The customer service agents response was "we don't state you can use it on a stove". So going by that if they don't say what the item can do on their description be warned. It didn't say I can serve food into it and the temp of the food, so I assume that's also not possible. So I hope you get my point. Next I decided it's ok I have no choice but reduce my losses so I agreed to send it back. They have included a return label with the address printed. Now I have checked with all courier companies (I mean all) of UK bar Royal Mail as its costly. using the postcode on the label. But non of the companies recognise the address. So I have no option to send it back except for Royal Mail. So I have tried to contact The Range customer services again to find out my options but they do not respond. Chat is also not available now and I sent a email. Its over 4 days and no response. Personally avoid The Range online. You will fall into the same problem as I have. I will only recommend going to a store (when COVID-19 permits) and buying items as you can check all the details including ADVISORY labels before buying. If not online you will get a mis represented item from them. To back up what I have written I have a copy of the chat that the agent says if its not stated that it CAN, then you must take it as you CANT" #Brilliant

Following a purchase of outdoor lights I was ill and was unable to use them. I returned the items to the store unopened by the fat on my receipt but was informed that as they were Xmas products the return date was only 14 days not the date on my receipt. When I pointed this out they said there were signs around the store stating this. There was 1 sign at customer services but NOT near where the lights were still being displayed and still being sold at full price not reduced. I was also told that the server should have told me this on purchase which they clearly did not. The store flatly refused to refund or even exchange the items despite the obvious shortcomings with their customer service. The supervisor was extremely unhelpful, dismissive and adamant that they were correct to act in this way. Not a way to encourage customer loyalty! Definitely shop elsewhere!

I visited the store in Enfield to return an item I was not happy with. I was appalled at the customer service I received. Member of staff referred to a supervisor who insisted I couldn’t return it just because I was not happy with it. When I said I was well within my rights to return it,(it was within the time frame)she just waved her hand at me and walked off. I was finally refunded but the staff attitude was appalling. I do enjoy shopping at The Range but would not recommend the Enfield branch due to bad customer service.
