Ordered Nurserymans Choice Annual Bedding mix. Got the impression they were garden ready. They arrived as tiny plugs through the mail, very small and wilted. Instructions said pot into 3" pots and place in cold frame. I had neither so planted in pots and trays in compost. Within 3 days 18 plants were dead. Very poor. I have asked to cancel the balance of a £76 order.

Two packets of seeds were delivered quickly. Another 7 items were promised within 21 days. I have just received one packet of plug plants after 23 days that had a despatch date from 11 days ago. Not surprisingly one plant was completely dead and the others in a very poor state. Only fit for compost. For the rest of my order I see that they have added another 14 days to the delivery time. Like everybody else I have received only a standard reply from their customer care section. I will not be using them again and would not recommend them to anybody. My local garden centre is now open and I can buy full healthy plants at a fraction of T&M's inflated prices.

NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE & DEAD /UNDELIVERED PLANTS. I rarely review and never previously as negatively as this. Only option for contact was email - auto generated response initially (We would like to assure you that your email has been received safely and a member of the team will be in touch within 5 - 7 days to help with your query) - to date no other response to either of my emails (sent 9th & 11th May...it's now 27th May). No refunds, no replcements, NOTHING!! T & M advice followed for plant care... First pack of 20 plants - 6/7 dead on arrival, only 10, ie half, have grown since planting. Second pack - 15 plants ordered - 5 arrived, all dead on arrival - 11 days after dispatch notification. I'm waiting to see whether the bulbs grow. Customer service should be 0 stars but that option is not offered.

My two pre-planted hanging baskets arrived in shocking condition on 21/5/20. The box was too big and there was absolutely nothing to stop the baskets moving about so when they arrived, all of the contents were spilled, one basket broken and the compost totally dried out. What a mess. I emailed T&M and got a standard reply saying someone would contact me in 5 to 7 days, so far, nothing. Ironically, I received an email from them a few days ago offering the same hanging baskets. I don't think I will be using this company again.

Two stars because the non-perishable items on my order did arrive in reasonable time given the current circumstances. Since then I have had one email stating that the rest of my order had been despatched and another from their chosen carrier saying that my order had been delivered on 14th May at 1.29pm - I do like a bit of precision! It hadn't - there had been no sign of any delivery van - and we were in the garden at that time. So I duly contacted consumer care by email, no use attempting to phone. I got, as everyone does, an automatic reply quoting a delay before I could expect a reply. I gave them the 10 days, then asked where was my reply - another automatic reply. A few days ago I received a package containing 24 plug plants from my original order - mostly dead or dying. They had been in transit for several days. They have got my money (a not insignificant amount) and I have no confidence that the remainder of the orderwill arrive in good condition - or at all. I have asked for a refund. Guess what, another automatic reply. Lesson learned.

I will not be using thompson and Morgan again. I only received half my order and they were in poor condition. They will not reply to my emails. You learn by your mistakes!

Placed an order in February had part of it with 2 lots of plants due to come at the end of April. Have emailed several times mostly ignored but on 11th May they could see on their system that the plants would be with me in 3-5 working days. Still didnt arrived so I emailed AGAIN, just received the reply that the plants were actually sent on 27 April and have gone missing! I have to wait 10 days for my money back which Thompson Morgan have had since February! I assume I will receive interest. If you're going to lie Thompson Morgan at least make it believable. Will never use you again.

I've given them two out of five because, literally, only about two out of every five plants I received from T&M survived the trip! Very disappointing and will not use again.

1st time I have ever done such an awful review. Will never use this company again if they are to busy to answer customers emails - auto reply advises 10 -14 days wait, web site advises phones switched off if they are this busy they either need more staff or to take fewer orders and fulfil what is outstanding. Our order was placed on 2nd April £272 so far I have received tomato feed and nursery-man's choice plants which were mainly dead (refund received) they keep showing my soil as delivered I have not received it. I have had a reply a few times they don't answer all my questions re delivery, the advised delivery yesterday has not happened, hanging baskets should be with me this week all I can do is keep my fingers crossed, I can now click and collect from a local nursery but unable to cancel my order with T & M as there is no way of contacting them.

I understand these are trying times for delivery , but my plants i have received so far this month have been dead, so i am supposing when strawberries and marigolds come they will be dead also. I emailed thompson and morgan two weeks ago but have had no response, this is not good enough, and i have had to buy other plants to replace others, costing me twice as much.

Pretty much everything went wrong. Appalling communication ( lack of), total disregard for dates, quality of plants is worse than poor - mostly dead or dying on arrival and nobody cares. DO NOT USE!

There is nothing good about Thompson Morgan , order tracing tracking awful almost non existent , plants info re despatch and delivery shocking - plants taking no less than 4 days to arrive primarily dead , the size of the plant plugs is minuscule, it is now almost June my March order for 72 plants has realised 18 plants of which 7 were dead or damaged when delivered , delivery of the remaining 54 will arrive as and when - pathetic , never again will I buy a Thompson Morgan plant - totally useless.

Sadly I cannot leave a zero star review! I wish i could post pictures of the dead plug plants supplied by them. Have waited a ridiculous amount of time for deliveries and upon getting geraniums and begonia plugs delivered, many were dead on arrival, many died after. 5 begonias lived (out of 24) 3 geraniums, again out of 24. I contacted them to cancel all remaining orders and refund, which they agreed to, but they have still sent more plants and still charged me. Out of 40 fuchsia plugs, 7 were dead on arrival, 13 have died since (3 days since delivery) and many others are not looking good. They have overstretched themselves and what is most frustrating is EVERY DAY they email offers and update facebook, but cant even deal with the current orders. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. 14 daya for email reply, phone lines closed.... have now gone thru my credit card company to get refund

Got steadily worse over the years. This year taking orders they constantly delay ,obviously cant forfill and refusing to cancel and refund by claiming its too late.Yet again another 14 days delay . I will be growing Cucumbers in October at this rate. In the past plants have arrived dried out and damaged . Last year garden ready plants were so disparate in size as to be a mix of plugs Never again

I ordered from Thompson and Morgan three times starting beginning of April 2020 amounting to about 60pounds. I was warned about delay due to covid19. The last order I placed arrived on time and in good condition. Tomato plants (ordered beginning of April) arrived 23 May in damaged containers with no padding and completely squashed and completely dry. I have not received an order for Geraniums also ordered beginning of April. I have been unable to get in touch either by e-mail or phone. I am now working with Resolver hoping to get some suitable response. I am however getting daily ads for their products by e-mail. I have never received such appalling service and would add that in the meantime I have received excellent service from other on-line garden centres. I would never use Thompson and Morgan again and certainly would not recommend them to others.

This company is also linked to Van Meuwen. Please Do Not Use These Companies.. I ordered plugs shrubs and compost back in March some plugs arrived through the post office all squashed and dying or already dead.. Tried emailing or phoning phone messages just say to email... After reading all the other very disappointing reviews on both sites I'm surprised these companies are still treading.. Please Do Not Buy From these 2 Companies....

Minus 5 is more appropriate, what an absolute shambles.. Monkeys could do a better job.... after my original delivery dates came and went I emailed for an update to have a generated one back explaining they were very busy and not to email again. The one order was supposedly IN STOCK so how could it take up to 4 weeks to dispatch!!!!!!! Then yippee my geraniums were released from their green house Only not to arrive , my marigolds were then also released to turn up 5 days later looking as though they had been put into cold storage and were of no use what so ever.... my slugs will be well disappointed this year 🙄. After me sending yet another snotty email I received a phone call from customer service, he wishes he hadn’t now. Why are we paying an absolute fortune also for postage and it takes up to 7 days to arrive ??. Truth is we are paying a premium price for them to send out 2nd class🤬🤬🤬 Stand your ground if you get through to them demand a full refund .Dont let them get away with it

I have read the 'reviews on this site and feel really sorry for the people who have placed orders which have cost a lot of money. I ordered a buddleia in a pot in February. It was due to arrive in April. The money was taken from my account when I ordered it. Despite sending e mails I have heard nothing. Shameful Won't buy from them again .

Ordered six tumbling toms .All dead on arrival.Have paid over £70 for various other plants so will wait and see if/when and what state they’re in when they arrive. I’ve emailed the company requesting replacements but no reply. There’s no point boasting on the web site that you are so busy with extra orders and then sending dead plants out to your customers. If you can’t keep up with demand for whatever reason then stop trading.Theres never any excuse for poor service .
