Had a battery replaced in my key fob couldn’t believe the price was £10.00 as I also got the spare replaced from the same company but at a different branch about 2 months ago and they charged me £6.00. I think they charge what they like. Will definitely not be using this service again!!

Took my Iphone to have my screen fixed at the Northampton Grosvenor centre in their one he service. It had to be sent away to be fixed as they broke it when fixing it. When it was returned they had broken my phone beyond repair. It was brand new 2 months earlier. All they are prepared to offer is a secondhand old phone or a few quid to buy a secondhand one. Everyone who I've spoken to and everyone who's seen it on Facebook are disgusted with how your company has behaved. You broke my new phone the least you should do is buy a new one. If a company damages your properly you should make it right.

I bought insoles for my daughter at her request. The same day she had also spotted some in Clarke’s near her office, bought them and immediately put them in her shoes. I took the ones I had bought back to Timpsons unopened with the receipt but they refused to accept them back.

Had a pair of new, limited editions shoes but when moving I got some little black marks on the upper of one of the shoes. Took it into Timpson Tesco and was told they would be able to get the marks out. 2 days later I came to pick them up and the whole front of the upper now had a big blotch of dark, discoloured leather. The guy said he can fix it by dying the entire shoe, as well as the other (pristine) shoe a bit darker to the same colour of the blotch. I went back 2 days later to find both shoes were darker, but the blotch was now darker too! And the pristine shoe now had scratched up uppers, a little flap of leather had been ripped up, the stitching had come undone and the rubber around the shoe had been scuffed and scratched away. Online support told me I had to take it to another store (on the other side of London from me) to get them dyed 'properly' and if they were not fixed, they could be posted in to their "excellence centre" for a proper repair. Trekked to the other side of London and the staff member in that store said he has no idea what the online support team was talking about: the shoes had been scratched and scuffed beyond repair and they could only be dyed from light brown to completely black! Online support is now saying they won't accept them beyond posted in to the "excellence centre" because they are irreparable, and they will not compensate my for the shoes because I gave "permission" for them to be repaired. So basically, what they've said is: "Yes, our website and staff say we can do any job and are committed to customer satisfaction. But we couldn't do your job and damaged your shoes, but it's YOUR fault for bringing your shoes to us instead of somewhere else. Yes, our staff ruined your limited edition shoes so they're useless now, but they did their best and although they made it so much worse, we don't take responsibility for mistakes or failings. Please feel free to jump off a bridge if you don't like it." Do NOT go anywhere near Timpson with your property if it means anything to you. For all the nice marketing speak they put everywhere that they will do a good job, in the event that they destroy your property, they will shift the blame to you for giving them "permission" to do anything to them. This essentially means they can do anything they want to your stuff, they can take your money, they can lose your property, damage it and ALL blame falls on you for giving them "permission" to work on - or destroy - your things. There is zero accountability here, zero integrity, and zero commitment to the customer. If you took your white car in to have a scratched door repainted and then it came back with EVERY SURFACE scratched up and the car now being a light grey and the staff said, "well, you shouldn't have given us permission in the first place. We did our best," would that be appropriate? If you went to a restaurant and found a cockroach in your food and the chef came out to let you know, "we didn't force you to come and eat here. We did our best, but you gave us permission to make food for you," would that be appropriate? Timpson believes that's the right way to approach business and handling customers. AVOID. The best case scenario (them doing an okay job) is NOT worth the worst case scenario, where they give you back a destroyed watch or pair of shoes and give you the middle finger for choosing them over anywhere else that will take pride or responsibility for their work. If you choose Timpson, you're choosing a place that gives their staff the freedom to destroy your things without any consequence, because it's all your fault for choosing them. What stops a business like Timpson then, where the staff never have to worry about doing a decent job, when they can just ruin your things and shift the blame to you? Nothing. I've experienced it through their store staff, their online customer service people and the area team. If you care about your property, go elsewhere. Don't be impressed or wowed by the big name or the lofty promises on their website and all over the place. They don't respect you or your things.

Hi, I want to report about refusing of service at one of your sites. It was Windsor Dedworth Tesco unit. I was refused to replace my battery on iPhone by your employee on 16:40 1st of October 2021. I ordered battery a week ago and got a phone call from you saying that it is arrived, and I could pop in anytime now. When I came today your guy told me that he never done this before and it will take him an hour to replace the battery and he does not have time to do this however it was 1 hour 20 minutes left to the COB. I asked him couple of times, but he refused to service me. I am not sure this is Timpson’s standard, and this is not my problem that your staff is not trained enough. It was the service your announced and you just lost money and a client. Please fix this and as for me I will never use Simpson again.

I had a dreadful experience in timpson corstorphine Went into get passport photos. After two attempts to do this service that they advertised!! The very rude and unprofessional guy. Said sorry light in shop rubbish. Have reported this to employers before. But same problem still. Obviously I wasn’t happy. He then went of on a catalog of abuse. Saying wasn’t his fault etc. Ended with him telling me to get lost. Unbelievable service. Don’t go near

I handed over my king size quilt, paid £25. When collected it was as dirty as when sent for cleaning. It did not even smell as it had been near any form of detergent. Two weeks on still awaiting to be contact with some form of explanation, let alone a refund. I am shocked.

Not cheap, £13, two five lever keys cut at Broughton, on trying the keys found the shaft was bigger than the original. Following day took them and the receipt to Rhyl where the assistant was kind enough to make two new keys, but on trying these keys only one worked cleanly. Had other keys cut by Timpsons and come to the conclusion that keys are not their strong point. Too much mileage for useless keys.

I wish to complain about the service received in the Timpson at Tesco, Lowestoft. I was charged 29.99 for two car fobs to have their batteries changed. These batteries are roughly £5 online for five. I phoned your employee afterwards because I thought I must have been overcharged but he said this was the price he charges for fitting them. It is very over the top and he should have warned me beforehand that it would cost this much. He could have just sold me the batteries as the fobs are very easy to access. Given the branding of your company, it never occurred to me that being ripped off would happen because your CEO seems such a nice man. Sadly, this one employee has really put me off from using that particular branch again and I was a good customer. I have had five pairs of shoes repaired and fifteen dry cleaning visits in the last six months so I definitely don’t deserve treatment like that.

OUTRAGEOUS PRICE TO REPLACE A SWATCH WATCH BATTERY I had to pay £18.95 for a 2mn simple battery replacement for a swatch watch at the Wimbledon bridge branch. That makes it a whooping £568 per hour of work (I would guess the cost of the battery itself to be around £5). The swatch watches are straightforward to change as you even do not need to open them to access the battery. It is FREE when you do it at a swatch branch office...but you need to find one near you. Avoid changing Swatch batteries at Timpson!!

Took my vintage Dunhill watch to Enfield Town Centre branch for replacement battery. Couldn't believe it only cost £22 - use to paying 4 times that and now I know why. Less than a week later the watch has stopped and the glass has condensation. I am spitting up. I'd rather someone had mugged me than this and the tool in the branch never gave me a receipt

Very unprofessional and very bad service. they sold me a life time battery replacement cover for my watch and now when i go to the high-street branch in Hounslow to replace the battery they are saying they have to send it to the workshop, it only takes 5 mins to change the battery then and there which they did before. They want to avoid replacing the battery on the policy.... also they they warn may be they have to replace seals etc at the workshop even if i don't want to do that so they can charge me arm and leg. the simple message is Tompson are not honouring our obligation to replace the battery under the policy they sold me!. Avoid this rogue company.

I took two watches to Timpson's at Tesco, Tenterden Kent for new batteries. Won't be using them again. Within minutes the young lady had broken one, meaning it has to be sent away for repair amd then she left a dent in the back of another. No apologies, these things happen, she said. Do not use this franchise!

My partner brought my iPad Air in for repair at Timpson, based at Asda Falmouth Superstore, on 25 March 2021. The screen was cracked and just needed replacing. The normal place we go to for any electronic repairs was closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. This was the first time I’ve ever been to Timpson for an electronic repair – and it’ll be my last now, thanks to my experience. Last Saturday, 24 April 2021, I had to return my iPad for a third time – because every time I collect my iPad, it comes back with a new and different problem that it’s never had before! The first time I returned it, the screen was faulty – it kept acting as if parts of the screen were being pressed when they weren’t. Ghosting, I believe it’s called. The next time I returned it was due to the home button not working. I’ve never had that problem before. I returned it for a third time because the iPad keeps switching itself off. And for this pleasure I’ve paid £80.95. Just to top off my experience, the manager of the shop called me today – I haven’t spoken to her before because whenever I’ve collected/returned my iPad she’s not been there. Do you think she apologised to me? No, of course not – instead of apologising, she tried to say that all the problems with my iPad wee due to a repair carried out at a previous store. What utter rubbish! Yes, I had the screen, possibly the battery, replaced at some point, but that was about two years ago and it’s not had a problem since, until I needed the screen repaired in March 2021. Needless to say, I’m sorry I ever took my iPad to Timpson. I have totally lost faith in their ability to repair my iPad and do not believe my iPad will ever be fully functioning again. Should this be the case, I will be seeking a replacement for my iPad Air from Timpson or report them to Trading Standards.

I went to Asda timpsons two weeks ago in Cannock, Staffordshire. I asked the man to change the batteries in my two watches. He went to the computer and said they would cost me £22 each or £28 for a lifetime warranty, that would be for the latter £56 could not believe it. Usually I go to a local jeweller with my radley watches etc it costs £6 for a battery, timpsons are making a huge profit off people because of lockdown won’t go near them. I can’t afford £56 for watch batteries. What a rip off !
