Convenient booking, reasonable price, quick response. Just one point - cannot find the link to pay by instalments

I found working through Tourradar to be very frustrating, like playing tag. There seemed to be no communication between Tourradar and Luxury Gold, I was never informed of things like a tote bag and rucksack on offer to choose between, nearly did not get my airport travel vouchers, had to battle to get my itinerary before leaving on the trip. A long time delay before answering, the "local" number always engaged. It came to a point where I was frantically googling if it is a scam! Staff was helpful and friendly, but clearly had no knowledge of the product nor of the challenges clients from Africa face in booking trips. I will use the site to compare tours, but probably book directly in future. UPDATE: I was subsequently called by a customer service representative, who agreed unconditionally that I had reason to be dissatisfied. It felt good to be taken seriously and they offered me credit on a future booking, should I choose to use them again. Certainly changed a negative to a positive and I am willing to try again!

Having looked into your file, we can determine that there were a couple of minor set-backs with some tour components during your booking process. As a booking agent, we liaise between the customer and the tour operator. Any services or components of a tour are handled exclusively by the tour operator which does take a little time to coordinate, according to their booking protocols. However, we do wish to assure you that our dedicated Customer Service Team worked hard to ensure that these were resolved and arranged with the tour operator as quickly as possible, and all final documentation provided before your tour departure date. Easy to book, but it is not possible to order pre/post accommodation and airport transfer, the link does not work. Further, there is no information that the price does not include extra costs for hotels. brgds Andre

We had all the information available to make a decission wheather we would like to participate or not. Once we decided the booking process was easy and effective and we got confirmation in a very short period of time.

Made it easy to compare lots of tours. Only negative was that once I booked the tour company replied that there was a surcharge for the date I selected, increasing the price about 10%.

The online experience was fine, but I needed some additional information, and called the number given on the website. The person was polite and friendly, but clearly not knowledgeable about what I was asking. My questions were not addressed, which creates uncertainty and makes planning for my trip a bit stressful. The next question about recommending the service to a friend is hard to answer. My plans are incomplete and the trip has not yet happened. If the question is just about finding options and booking online, I would give it a 10.

SO many trip options for every traveler and for every time frame! It was a little cumbersome to keep having to press “see more” to extend the page and see next options. If I clicked wrong it would reload the whole page and would have to reclick over and over again. Aside from this I did get online help, super easy, booking also easy!

The sale price should be reflected immediately, when one clicks to reserve a tour. There were a few hours where the original tour price--not sale price--was used to calculate what I 'owed' after paying the deposit. This caused me needless concern. It was resolved very well within a day or less. You ideally want people to trust that all is as advertised immediately upon booking! If the sale price is marketed at your site, it should be listed immediately when one books. Thanks for your consideration. All is well, and I look forward to a very meaningful, enjoyable trip with my elderly father!

It was relatively easy to book my trip online with Tour Radar apart from choosing the room type as it kept saying I had to name a second person even though I was traveling solo. Every time I called to speak to a person at Tour Radar, they were so helpful, patient and followed up readily and efficiently. The information emailed out was clear and well organised. I felt confident and well informed booking via Tour Radar. Thank you.

Regarding the rooming options on the booking page: some tours indeed have a mandatory single supplement, which means that solo travellers will need to pay for this supplement to join the tour. That can be due to the travel style of this operator, or simply the fact that they often have a group big enough to successfully pair solo travellers in a twin room with another traveller. I have used Tourradar before and I was happy with the tour in 2017. I had no hesitation going back. I did have a booking disagreement which they prompt resolved and corrected on site. - i think it is important to mention that. Still have more holidays tours to book. PS - I love sharing room with stranger, It makes holiday fun. Why not have an extra box to tick, ask if available I am prepared to share room.? So if 2 same sex tick box, refund extra payment. If not company lost nothing
