I booked a hotel in Cuba with travel republic.at a cost for f €898.00 when I booked it they took full payment for my booking and immediately confirmed my booking .when we arrived at the hotel they had no reservations for me so they took pre authorization payment for the booking from credit.card after 4 days I had to check out they still had no payment from travel republic so the hotel had to bill me at a cost of €1150. While I was there I tried to contact travel republic by emailing them and get t no reply from them also by phone when on the phone I was put on hold for 15mins and still got no answer the cost of the phone call was €60 . I got my sister back home in Ireland to contact them and she did so they were aware of my situation in Cuba and done nothing to help me out with the problem I was having they told my sister that the payment had gone trough to the hotel but was untrue . So when I got home I contacted them myself to arrange a refund and also compensation for the extra money I had to pay after a lot of email and phone calls they refused to compensate me the extra money I had to pay and they would only refund me my initial payment. I’ve only received that payment today after nearly 8 weeks . I will never use there website again as I felt they are very untrustworthy and unprofessional to deal with .

DO NOT use travel republic! I booked a surprise holiday for my husbands 40th. I paid for bed and breakfast 10 months prior to travelling. On the booking I speficially stated that we both had dietary requirements. Upon arriving at the hotel, we went for breakfast to discover there was literally nothing we could eat. I complained to the hotel reception pointing out they knew 10 months we had requirements so should have made some arrangements for us as we'd paid for it. Turns out, when Travel Republic sent the booking to the hotel, they never sent the dietary request so the hotel had no idea. After being on the phone to TR for 30 mins (whilst on holiday) and after much arguing about who's fault it was, they agreed to refund me £66. Fair enough. Jordan in the complaints department asked if I still had the card it was booked on. I said no as this was a credit card paid off and destroyed months ago. I also pointed out that I had not budgeted for having to buy breakfast all week for 2 people so wanted the cash to replace the extra money I had to spend. He said it would go into my bank account instead. I check my bank today and of course, it's been put back onto my zero balance credit card that I no longer own. I can't transfer it to my current account as it's under £100.I can't put more money onto the card to enable me to transfer it as it's paid off. So now I have a refund I can't access. Another long phone call to TR and they said basically it's tough as it's cleared from their account and I need to contact my bank. I've now had to order a replacement card and pin which I didn't want to do when it's been paid off and waste my spending money for our holiday on breakfasts that I had already paid for.

Completely useless customer service and a booking system designed to force you in to spending money needlessly. God forbid you make an administrative error and you want to alter within 24 hours of booking, as they have already sent your money off to 3 different places with no protocol in place to retrieve it in the likely event that their poorly designed website forces a booking error. Not only this, you're then forced to sit on a phoneline with a 7 second loop of the most abrasive, annoying Spanish music known-to-man - which I assume is there to force their many complainants to hang-up prematurely - as even when you DO get through, you're about to be told there is a cancellation fee for a hotel that ON ITS OWN WEBSITE advertises free cancellation until 24 hrs before, 48 hrs for their 'partners', of which TravelRepublic clearly is not. Selling 'accommodation vouchers' for a higher price that hold less value. Got my calls hung up on TWICE by their support team. Feel violated by this shoddy excuse for a business.

Shocking customer service, took weeks to reply to a simple request to change dates and then wanted to charge me 40% of the weekly cost to reduce the days I was planning to stay. I will never use them again.

I had a disagreement with them about taking £100 pounds from me unrightfully. I spent a month worth of phone conversations with them which resulted in a phone call from a manager who said that she would refund my £100 back to me. After 2 weeks later still no money refund so I rang them again. Now they basically changed their mind saying that they are not refunding it. I have never in my life seen this awful customer service. Now my next step in the dispute department of my credit card company..,.

Booked 4 flights from you, £726, within a minute i knew I had made a mistake on booking, instead of flying to Tenerife, the booking was made from Manchester to Leeds Bradford return, which is an obvious mistake,, you couldn’t give me another flight unless I paid another £900, no refund Nothing! No help whatsoever, I have now lost all my money,

When we arrived at hotel no pool it was under construction not told this at anytime at paying or before we went...complained but you have no chance they have you money should not be allowed

Liars. Booked return to Bournemouth. Website had a wobbly and ended up with the return flight to Bristol. Customers service told me this was as no return to Bournemouth available. Looked again on their website and able to book flight back to Bournemouth. Again rang customer service who told me the booking back to Bristol was more than likely my error. That they would get their people to check this out and get back to me. They haven’t as yet. But I fully expect to be told it’s my mistake not theirs as I’ve already been lied to. Been happy with them in the past but never again. Will take this higher. As a poorly paid nhs worker I work hard for my money. Sure the local papers would run this.

I have used travel republic for many years and received great service.Until the past year or so when they were bought by Emirates.The service is now appaling.Customer service is a joke.Whilst i accept that firms use foreign staff.they at least should be able to speak plain english.I personally will never use them again

STAY WELL CKEAR. If I could 0 stars I would. They lie about prices. They lie about available holiday. They haven't got the holidays they advertise. They are rude on the phone ..if. you can actually understand them. DO NO BOOK WITH TRAVEL REPUBLIC ..YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO

If I could give 0 stars I would. When trying to book. They lie about prices. Always more money than they advertise. Customers service none existent .. once they answer the phone they very rude. And that's if you understand them. DO NOT BOOK WITH TRAVEL REPUBLIC YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I would NEVER use Travel Republic again or recommend them to anyone! Their customer service is appalling and disappointing!!! I initially raised a query with them on 5th October and messaged them multiple times for an update and I finally got a response on 20th November which didn’t solve my query, so I replied to them that day and then got another response on 3rd December and then I had to call them to finally get my query resolved as they were taking so long to reply to me and any response I had wasn’t very helpful! Surely it’s standard practice to keep a customer update to date with their query and if it’s taking long to solve, to apologise and provide a reason to why it’s taking so long! My query was finally resolved on 6th December!! So it’s taken over 2 months to solve a simple query of changing a name on a flight booking! It’s shocking! When I called Travel Republic multiple times for an update in between online messages and I mentioned how long I’d been waiting for my query to be solved, no one would apologise for the service I received and I was just put on hold and transferred from department to department! If I hadn’t paid such a large amount of money already, I would have definitely cancelled my booking and gone elsewhere!! Very disappointed!

I have on 2 separate occasions booked using this company at their advertised price to have the price increase by €985.05 Each time. The first time I took them that their word that it was due to live pricing & cancelled the booking & received a refund. Less than 24hours later the exact same hotel, for the exact same dates & exact same travellers was again advertised on their site at the lower price so I again booked…live pricing after all! Within 3 hours I’ve had communication from travel republic to say the “live price“ has increased from the exact lower price that was offered yesterday to the same higher price that they came back with. Needless to say I’ve instructed them to cancel The booking & Issue a refund. I find it very hard to believe that the price change is due to live pricing given that the amounts quoted & increases were the same on both occasions.

Terrible stay away from them they midsole me a flight with Virgin Atlantic when the actually fact the flight was with KLM they never specify that in the booking process

WARNING! - do not use travel republic, they are dishonest scammers. We booked an airport shuttle taxi, which never showed up, despite them taking our money up front. When calling them about this, they claimed it was not their problem, and refused to book another taxi for us. Taking them to the small claims court to get our money back

Would never use this company at all. I telephoned them to find out a price for a hotel with flights to Gran Canaria. Found the staff to be very dishonest they first of all wanted to know my credit or debit card details and when I asked them why they needed this information first as I was only making an enquiry they turned extremely vile and rude. Never use this company Please take my advise as they are fraudsters why would any company insist of your credit or debit card details firstly when you are only making an enquiry. Pure Chancers!

My first holiday as a family with my newborn who was 4 months old I booked our holiday with travel republic. 3am in the morning so excited I went to check in at the BA desk and was told my flight wasn’t untill 6pm but I was sent confirmation from travel republic that my flight was a early flight they had booked me on the later one so stood in the airport with a 4 month baby screaming for two hours waiting for another desk to open so I could try an get the issue resolved I had to pay for another 3 more ticket costing just over £200 which left us short with spending money travel republic don’t seem to want to no and have sent my complaint to be investigated it’s been 6 weeks and I still haven’t heard back from anyone absolutely disgusted will never book with them again😡

Book an airport transfer costing €84 with travel republic as flight was getting in at 10.30pm . Transfer never turned up rang travel republic no representative at airport or could be contacted by phone. Paid €200 for taxi . Contacted travel republic when I returned in July offered me 50% of taxi but no refund of the €84 I paid for transfer . It’s now October 23 and still not resolved I am going to have to contact ABTA . Worst customer service ever.
