We then decided it'd be easier to just change the dates of the flight when and if we need and were told we couldn't 'un-cancel' even though the cancellation hadn't been processed. The flexibility option is misleading and trip are a joke of a company. 100% avoid. Ruined a very important part of our honeymoon.”

“This website is a SCAM. I tried to booked a hotel and entered the correct dates. However, it changed the dates to the night I was making the booking. It was 11pm when I was doing this so obviously, I cannot be making a booking for that night. When I entered the payment information and went to the next screen to confirm my booking, it immediately confirmed the booking. I noticed the dates were changed and immediately contacted them to aske them to cancel the booking to correct the dates. However, they claimed that per contract, I am liable for the booking. This is called manager of customer success team while you cannot even give good customer service to your customers. Without customers Trip.com wonot be able to pay the employee remember that! It’s now been seven days, and after multiple calls and speaking to three different case managers (Adril, Evans, and Sylvia), I'm only getting excuses. They claimed they couldn’t verify the refund promise, then said it was too late since five days had passed, blaming me for not cancelling within 24 hours—even though I tried to cancel twice within an hour of booking.”

They got me to say okay...still no refund....over a week. We work, have children, and I was recently diagnosed with a chronic medical condition which has landed me 3 emergency surgeries, extended inpatient hospitalizations, ridiculous debt, financial, mental, physical, and emotional strain and loss all within the last year...and this is now my life at 44 with a family who needs me. We dont ask for much, we go without plenty...and appreciate the simple things. We all made sacrifices to see my husband's father who is 62, and the end is here....but that's not enough.....your company took our money to pay for the trip, left us broke upon arrival, vulberable, talking to cold hearted ignorant people who fed us the same lies over and over, and now back at home with a negative bank account, over withdrawal fees, late fees, and thank God my kids like Ramen. “Had a worst experience ever with trip.com, booked a flight ticket to London when I went to the airport airline said you dont have a valid ticket my name is not passenger on list I was so surprised and panicked contacted them to find out what’s wrong with my ticket till then I missed my all connecting flight next. Had go take another flight next day which cost me extra price for the flight when I back to London I contacted them to get my refund back after three weeks chasing them they issues 30% of flight price and said we cannot refund you full. I get to hotel to check in and am told that thier credit card declined…. I said mine? Hotel says no trip.coms. So we call and am told by the trip.com rep to have the hotel to wait until after midnight and retry their credit card. 😭😂😭 what in the ghetto hell is that? So hotel was willing to do it but if the card declined again at midnight they would need me to come to the desk and pay. I decided just to pay right then and dispute the charge. what happened was my mother bought a round trip ticket for my helper to visit her family. nearing the date of departure, the returning flight got cancelled. we understand that this is not trip.com fault for the flight to be cancelled however, we still had to make arrangements for getting a new returning ticket. my mother then contacted trip.com to ask about the refund process but the customer service line was not helpful at all. the person told her that it is not possible for the refund as the first flight was not cancelled. this doesnt make sense, how could trip.com just take the full amount for a round trip and refuse to refund the returning trip if it is cancelled. such a scam. i believe my mom called a few times and was directed to a few different people.
another person that she talked to told her that she currently cannot refund as the flight going there was not cancelled so they have to use the ticket there first and then apply for the refund for the coming back after reaching. my mom did that and then trip.com gave her a full refund. sounds nice right? just yesterday she got a call from trip.com demanding that my mom refund the money back to them. not only was their tone very confrontational, they were blaming my mother for scamming them. my mother just merely followed the instructions given and it was their fault for processing the refund inaccurately. there was no apology on their end thus i told my mom to just ignore them.

“Hired a car through trip.com (Europcar) from Newcastle airport and dropping at Edinburgh airport a week later. Everything was great until after we dropped the car off. On the email trip.com give you a map where in Edinburgh airport to drop the car off. We dropped the car exactly where it stated. Europcar took the car checked the car/petrol yes everything great...... no everything not great next day £37.50 taken from my bank... why???? I dropped the car at the wrong part of the carpark !!!!!! “Horrible experience with trip.com they are absolutely dodgy, they are playing up with me for over 2 weeks as i had to cancel my flights due to Covid. My other connecting flights and the return flight that I had booked directly with Qantas were refunded within a couple of days and no questions or documentation required but trip.com keeps asking for the proof even proof of purchase that I had made directly on their apps. They blame it on the airline wheras qantas has no issues whatsoever with refund. They are just scams and once they got your money, forget about it. Customer service plays hide and seek and keeps saying they call you back and never do. These people should be reported for fraud.”
