Turo cancelled my trip less than 24 hours before I was due to start, stating that my licence pictures weren’t real/were screenshots (which wasn’t true). As a result, I lost all my money - they refunded me a fraction of what I paid and said I can only use the tiny amount they refunded as credit towards a future trip. Crooks. Avoid at all costs.

Never again They said the driver didn’t like my license then tried to “refund” a partial credit on my turo account. Since I will never use this horrible company again they can absolutely not expect my or others business you shifty people- I just rented a car through a rental agency with the same license aholes

Turo has a system in place where you can leave a rating, not an actual review. When you do this, ot can't be removed because policy says they can only remove reviews. Hosts misuse the system and give customers bad ratings for nothing.

Extremely DECEPTIVE and MISLEADING PRICING!! When you initially compare Turo's advertised cost for various vehicles, you initially think, "Wow, these rates are better than a traditional car rental!" But after you start going through the checkout process and see what your total owed will be, you realize that Turo tacked on various charges and fees that were NOT included in the advertised price, except in very fine print (taxes and fees total MORE than the total car rental cost???). Yes, many industries do this - airlines (baggage check fees), hotels ("resort fees"), but Turo's seem even more deceptive because the fees are not presented UNTIL close to checkout. Very misleading and deceptive. Until they "fix" how they advertise their rates, I will be staying FAR AWAY from Turo since I know it's a bunch of B.S.

ZERO STARS! This place is a total and complete scam! They are trying to charge me for damage to a vehicle that was not mine. If you do decide to use this service, TAKE YOUR OWN BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS, DO NOT TRUST THE OWNER. Astor S. in North Richland Hills with the red dodge journey is a complete scammer. The car was disgusting and uncomfortable. These are the unfriendliest people I have ever done business with.

Turo’s pricing is quite deceptive. What is shown is only the daily rental cost of the car. Once you add trip fee, basic insurance, sales tax, delivery charge the actual out of pocket cost becomes 150%. I am an angry customer who turned to Turo thinking I was getting a better deal than all these big car rental companies. I have been disappointed by such high costs and deceptive pricing and will be taking my business elsewhere in future.

TURO is unprofessional at all, The driver canceled my ride when I was on the airplane for his personal reason and TURO has no support and backup at all. I had to book the rental car at airport. Stay away with TURO. plus the rental cost is not that cheaper than regular rental. not worth the risk.

I had made an account this morning, was all verified and approved. I went to put in my information to rent a car and got signed out and banned from the site and they could not tell me why! I have never experienced anything like this, I am beyond dumbfounded. I will not recommend this business to anyone.

They promote predatory car renters with hidden fees and ridiculous false claims. If you are thinking about renting a car, don’t do it. Go with a legitimate car rental company.

Turo is terrible with their customers. I rented a car for a vacation, got pulled by a police officer because the tags of the car were expired for 8 months. Turo didn’t care and neither the host to replace the car, created lots of stress during what supposed to be a relaxing time. Their customer service is all overseas and most of the time it is difficult to understand the language. Terrible company and terrible Hosts!

Turo canceled my reservation for no reason and has me locked out of the website and when I call them they don't know why it was canceled and they will get back with me. Then I read all the negative reviews this company is nothing but a scam

Turo is largely an awful service where you have to deal with two parties to resolve any issues and the hosts are awful with 1) maintenance, 2) keeping proper record of condition of the vehicle, 3) will try to charge YOU for the previous two as the "proof" according to Turo's contract is that you are responsible for any damage potentially that occurs while under your lease agreement unless they decidedly otherwise. Their contract is largely a scam written in such a way to basically ensure any liability is deferred to either you ultimately or the host with the potential of being screwed over royally if they decide you are in the wrong. The back and forth along with interacting with customer service is also awful with any savings being replaced with outright hassle over a stupid company that shouldn't exist.

I thought bringing a vehicle back early was a good thing but it wasn’t! Originally was supposed to have 1000 miles but bring the vehicle back 5 hours early and it drops to 800 miles! If you rent the vehicle and are at or under your miles! DO NOT RETURN IT EARLY!!!!!

We just completed our 19th trip with Turo over the past 12 months, and it will be our last. We’ve canceled our account and will be returning to traditional rental cars. Turo systematically shields unscrupulous hosts at the expense of their guests - we've seen this multiple times. Most recently, we were unfairly charged $31 for the host's early drop-off (over a day before our scheduled trip) and another $25 for their late pickup. Despite Turo's policy requiring hosts to clearly disclose parking fees and responsibilities, this was not done in my case. When I disputed these charges, Turo sided with the host, ignoring their own policies and the clear evidence I provided. It's evident that Turo prioritizes protecting hosts who generate fees over the fair treatment of guests. This experience was the last straw.

Turo allow a host to charge a guest almost 500 dollars for a cracked windshield, after the guest called around they discovered the windshield was actually 315. Terrible service!

TURO HOSTS SCAM YOU!!! As a responsible consumer, it is essential to address issues promptly when encountering a malfunctioning product or service. In this case, the car key slipping into the middle console of the Tesla during a reservation caused significant inconvenience and ultimately left the driver, myself, stranded in Charlotte!! When reaching out to the host, for assistance with resolving the car malfunction, it is expected that he would take responsibility for ensuring that his vehicle is in proper working condition. However, his unwillingness to help and failure to provide adequate customer service reflects poorly on his professionalism and commitment to guest satisfaction. Furthermore, the lack of support from the customer service line in resolving multiple dispute calls only adds to the frustration and dissatisfaction of my experience with Turo because of this host. It is imperative that steps are taken immediately to escalate this issue with Ivan and address any unjust charges being imposed. In conclusion, as a paying customer utilizing a rental service such as Turo for transportation needs, it is crucial that hosts like Ivan prioritize guest safety and satisfaction above all else. The inability to resolve car malfunctions in a timely manner and refusal to provide adequate support only serve to tarnish their reputation and deter future business opportunities. SCAM!

Wish you could rate 0 stars. Terrible experience. Spent way to much time calling Turo about all these added charges. Was billed one amount and then after I had over 90.00 dollars in addition to what I should of paid. Added a chair called they then removed the chair fee which was wonderful since I didn't add a chair BUT they added a 65.00 dollar change fee. Called back again. Charged air port fee after I was not charged for that fee since the airport we picked up the car from does not charge Turo a fee. Called back again for that. Then the charged me 3 days of airport parking. Which I picked the car up when I was suppose to and shouldn't of paid 3 days of airport parking but had to pay it to leave the airport with the car. Called again about that. Will never use Turo again. The host on the other hand was fabulous!

We just had the worse experience!! Never use TURO! We borrow the car on Saturday and the engine broke down on Monday. The car started to jump and making a weird noise. Suddenly, the Engine light lit up, showing " REDUCED ENGINE POWER". We stopped the car, and all icons lit up, the car was jumping and making horrible noise. The liquid was dripping from beneath the car as well. We called the customer service which tow away the car. It was just scary, we could have had a car crush on the highway from Vancouver to Banff. We got stuck in Banff with all our camping gear, bags and forced to take 11 hour long bus ride back. Our vacation is ruined completely. Never trust TURO!!!
