“I just booked a consultation and women I talked to was like you need to do it immediately just pay us this huge sum for evaluation first and then we will decide whether or not you are eligible. She did not listen to me even once about what I want. I was charged £1,800 ($3500+) just to have my information put forward to the Australian government; I later found out that this was something I could have done myself within a short space of time for a fraction of the amount.. as someone who doesn’t have an abundance of money and has had to work hard to save everything that I have, to lose such a large amount for no reason is horrible - I wish I had this information before, but just use the Australian government website directly!! From my screenshots attached you will see examples of where I requested a refund for government fees that were to be paid to the Australian government once I had received my EOI and UIS were to apply on my behalf. However I never got an invite and so I requested a refund on the government fees UIS have been withholding.
This request went on deaf ears so I requested a charge back through my bank. Uis submitted documents against this request with false information. I then submitted a review on a different review site with information of my experience. Uis did not like this and then tried to reach out to me and see what the issue was. When I explained to there customer service department what had happened they tried to apologise and tell me there were looking into it. They sent me on a wild goose chase between blaming my bank for not processing the refund which they said they had accepted (UIS had not accepted this refund). Then they apologised for this and told me they were going to sort with their account department (they did not process the refund once again). They have now turned back on their first statement and locking it that it is the banks issue and to wait for them to come back with an update on the charge back ( once again the charge back dispute had already been completed 2 months ago at this stage and they knew they had rejected the chargeback request, but they were just trying to distract me once again).
To finish, the requested refund is for government fees withheld by UIS($4212 AUS dollar). I have paid thousands to UIS previous to this fee, I am not disputing these fees as those payments were my own fault to have paid so much for nothing in return. All I ask is that they refund the government fees which I am entitled to.”

I complied and made more profit. However, when I tried to withdraw my funds, they demanded a significant tax, which made me suspicious. I decided not to give them any more money despite their persistent persuasion. In the end, they closed my account, proving they were a fraudulent company. After trying to contact them for weeks, their responses were unhelpful, giving false information about payments. Nobody needs their services, which they should make clear when they first contact you (upon nobody's request) right away but of course they don't. Don't know how they got my information (phone number and name) as I never subscribed to anything with them but they called me the day after I registered on australian immigration services offering their services. As I thought it was part of the "official " process to get the visa, I agreed. They then charged me with ridiculously high amounts for services that demanded at most 20 minutes of work if not even less. After I understood it was an absolute scam, I tried to abort the process and get my money back. At that time I had paid ~330€ and then ~1150€. The last payment occurred the day before the day I reclaimed my money back and those clowns only offered to reimburse less than 600 €.
The official visa process took me about 2h and cost me 380€. I got the visa grant in the same day I applied.
If I could put less than a star, I would.”

“In April 2022 I looked into moving to Australia, I contacted UIS who initially were super friendly and helpful. I did the survey and according to them I would have no issue in immigrating, I paid the money and the process began. I was told they would help me find employment and I was made allsorts of promises that were never fulfilled after payment was made. As they were not helping with employment I found my own (not a big deal as my line of work is sort after in Australia). Of the numerous potential employers I sent in their direction UIS had an issue with ALL of them, it was one excuse after another. At one stage they informed me that the employer was not offering enough money / salary and the minimum amount for immigration was 180k per year (which is ridiculous).
I eventually found an employer who stated "we need you in our company, come to Australia and we will arrange everything" to which I did. The employer used their own agent who arranged everything with no issues whatsoever. The new agent sent numerous email requests to UIS Australia requesting an itemised bill and that UIS should refund me part of my 4850 USD (American Dollars). After months of no reply I tried calling UIS but they never answered or returned my requests for a call back. As a last resort I tricked them into thinking I was someone else so they would call me. The call was short and blunt and followed by an email that stated "As per our T's and C's you are not eligible for any form of a refund".
The reason for my review is to caution other people from using them. I have physically been to their address that they have listed on their webpage and they DO NOT EXIST.....They are not based in Australia and I do not believe they are legit. If you read their webpage they state "we use MARA approved agents" which means they themselves are not MARA agents. Also, the MARA number they use is for an agent who I questioned and they have never heard of UIS. The Australian embassy has also never heard of UIS.
I am currently investigating how I can report them to the Australian home affairs and to get them closed down or listed. ABSOLUTE SCAM AGENTS..”
“When I first got in to Contact with UIS Australia their willingness to help was almost too good to be true. Well it was too good to be true. Ince they received the money and I insisted that I want a breakdown of all possible costs involved, I was refused this. Alex simply said “no” , once the evacuation is done we will look at next steps. I kindly requested the information and if this could bot be provided I want a refund. I then Got contacted by Gabriella, which I did not take the call, and after receiving her mail that she was trying to contact me, I once again requested the information and that I would be happy to set up a call once I have all the costs involved. Still nothing. I have since contacted them three times to refer me to the refunds department and guess what? Still NOTHING.
Seems like they are willing to help until they get money. As soon as you ask more questions about what other costs are involved they give you an average of $2000-$7000 to complete the process. All I wanted to know was the breakdown of how they get to such an amount. The dishonesty and lack of information they provide is nauseating.
I am no longer interested in their service and want my money back.”

I was given the confirmation I can and it has been done for many in the past. I was explained that the application is over 3 stages. I have paid fully for each stage and I have received nothing back! Absolutely nothing. I have subsequently found out I cannot come across to Australia as an Orthopaedic surgeon. I have requested UIS to refund me just the final stage 3 amount I paid and they are refusing despite having done absolutely nothing! Do not use!”

I joined UIS Australia as I have a busy life and thought it would be simpler and easier when applying for a permanent residency. The first lady I spoke to seemed friendly and informative so I signed up. As soon as I paid the money (nearly £4000), I was suddenly passed to a different person who was terrible; didn't send information she said she would, didn't reply for weeks and I was constantly chasing. When I complained, all that happened was a different person would answer my emails and no acknowledgement of my complaint. This happened four times with a total of five people before I requested a cancellation of service and refund. I was also receiving conflicting information/advice from these people. I still to this day have not received a breakdown of costs (just a lump sum invoice), neither have I received a list of expected additional costs. I still don't actually understand what the substantial amount of money is for! I have been mislead and misinformed throughout and they justify NO REFUND because they have put working hours towards my case; no applications have been made on my behalf yet I have provided all the information required quickly and efficiently. I even quoted the multiple terms and conditions THEY have breached but once again, this was not even acknowledged. I am now in the process of complaining to MARA as they have also breached that code of conduct. Hopefully other people will also do this to help bring UIS Australia to justice.”
