UPS Nightmare ExperienceThis is Barbara from Whitby Ontario. We sent via UPS a package with birthday gifts for our grand kids living in USA, whom we did not see for over a year now. It's not enough that Covid is our reality and that there is no possibility to travel, but this parcel was lost in the process. We tried to contact UPS waiting on the phone for hours, finally we spoke with a rep and they acknowledged that the parcel was lost and started an investigation. Once it was certain the package was lost, they started a claim which we filled out with a total value of $96, not including $27 for shipping. After a month of waiting, they sent me a lousy $50 cheque. This is not about the money. This was very much about the emotional sentiment since the kids never received their birthday presents from their grandparents. They were looking at the door for a few days and nothing came. This is the last time we will use UPS.

H5632362349 UPS are SCAMMERS who take customers money and make every excuse not to refund you when they don't deliver or even make attempt and send your itemm back. DO NOT use this cowboy courier firm or give them your payment details, you risk being scammed.

Way bill number. 1Z74F45F6827556664 Had an Electric Scooter delievered today. Supposed to have been 2 delivered. Only one in the box. The box was left out on the rain leaning against our 4 x 4. Never Kocked or rung the bell. The box had been opened and it looks to me like something was removed from the box.

The moment I was my parcel was delivered by ups I was like “oh no”. Soon enough, the tracking link that was saying that the parcel was supposed to be delivered today was changed to “sorry we missed you, pick up from the nearest depot”. In a pandemic. Around holidays. Nobody rang the building buzzer, flat door or my phone. Yes I was at home and awake. Called CS and they said they can’t do jack, saying they will attempt again tomorrow. “Well will they attempt the same way they did today, do I have any guarantee that tomorrow someone will actually *try* to delivery my parcel?” “No, no guarantee”. “So you mean to tell me that a door-to-door parcel delivery company can’t guarantee that my parcel will be delivered to my door?” “That’s correct.”. This joke of a company’s attempt at a delivery means I will hopefully jump in their van as they drive nearby, if they even drove near me. Absolute joke. I swear to God I will not order anything ever again that has ups as the delivery company. I also had to spam the tracking link as I received no notification whatsoever either.

Paid for express next business day delivery and originally informed it would be delivered by the ‘end of the day’ - ok, fair enough that’s still next day. Then check if there’s any update the day it’s meant to be delivered. “Exception!!! Delivery rescheduled” but showing it’s done the hard part and made it from mainland Europe to Castle Donnington (Derby). Call them to be told “for reasons beyond UPS’s control it’s been delayed by one business day”. Once pressed it because clear it was “due to high volumes”. As I pointed out, “well why bother paying the extra if you just ignore it?” and then point out “that it’s now in your care and that fact you’re a bit busy is well within your control. If all roads were blocked I would agree it was beyond your control but if I were running a major international courier, I’d have anticipated Christmas being a bit busy”. All met with a cheery “that is correct”. Oh, and don’t bother with the app - it’s rubbish. The company won’t do anything about this. It won’t even read this. If you have the option to use another courier though, I’d do it.

I sent a package with Christmas presents to my family and paid extra to be delivered within 3 days. It's day 6th now and I have no idea where the package is, because they can't track it, but they can assure me it's not lost (but can't tell me where it is, because they don't know... !!). Customer service? I mean if you are very patient you can try, although they will give you exactly the same information you can find on their website, so what's the point? Honestly. Save money and avoid.

Since the pandemic I’ve been shopping on line on an average of 2 days a week, and I found that my shipments have more holes in the boxes from UPS, than any other carriers.

DO NOT USE UPS-EVER! They took £14.99 for a parcel delivery they then tried to take a further £2.40 which my bank declined. Went with DHL via Parcel Monkey same parcel £8.49 next day tracked. Needless to say still waiting for my £14.99 to come back and their customer services (if you can call it that) could not be less helpful - they may as well shut that department down.

What a nightmare and still haven’t received my parcel. Paid extra to be delivered in 2 days. We are now into the 5th day at my parcels still sat at the same location. It’s a new light for my car which without is illegal to drive. I now have a handicapped child at home very frustrated that he can’t go out. Customer care is a waste of time. Avoid using this company.

We shipped a large and heavy parcel to an elderly friend who was house-bound due to a pending hip replacement operation. Despite him being at home, UPS never bothered take the parcel to the recipient and simply dumped the parcel at an off-licence store in his neighbourhood. No card was left at his home, the package simply never arrived and we had to follow up with UPS in order to find out where the parcel actually was. My friend had to fetch the parcel (difficult because of size, weight and his age) and bring it home on foot. Seven telephone calls (more than 3 hours on the phone) later, my friend was eventually assured that a refund had been approved and was given a 'refund approval number', which he forwarded to me. A couple of weeks later we contacted UPS and were told that the refund was being processed for payment. A month later, the refund had still not been paid and we again chased UPS. This time we were told that the refund had never been approved and that no refunds were being paid due to the pandemic! In any business things can go wrong from time to time, after all, we all make mistakes! In such cases I would expect an earnest attempt to put things right. UPS clearly has no intention of doing this and is fundamentally a dishonest business, BLATANTLY LYING to get a customer off the phone with assurances of a refund while having no intention of ever refunding a service that they failed to deliver.

An update. My parcel HAS now arrived and intact! Website still insists that it is 'In Transit' meaning that it hasn't reached the delivery depot. This is directly taken from the UPS.com website: "Your package is still within the UPS network and, unless otherwise noted, should be delivered on the scheduled delivery date." So, I've given UPS another star (in my last review, I would have given them zero) because the information that I was told in an email from Customer Services (that my item would be delivered today) turns out to be true (who'd have thought it eh?) I still wouldn't use them however given the overwhelming majority of negative reviews here and on other sites and my own personal experience.

Wish I could leave zero stars - I can't however! UPS is the worst courier/delivery company I have ever dealt with. Sadly on this occasion it was Amazon that chose to use them (how I wish they hadn't)! My parcel was sent from Milano, Italy and managed to make it across the Channel and into the UK within a few days of ordering - so far so good. SInce Sunday 13th Dec, I have had numerous notifications that my parcel is 'Out for Delievery today' - yet my parcel hasn't arrived and is who knows where? UPS don't seem to know. I have had this 'Out for Delivery notification for each of the past THREE days (14/12, 15/12 & 16/12) - and no delivery. This morning, yes, another 'You'll have it delivered today (17th)' - this time in an email from Customer Services - the tracking part of the website disagrees however and says it is 'In Transit' (which apparently means it hasn't got to the delivery depot yet). The tracker on their website isn't an accurate narrative record of your parcel's journey (as it purports to be) - it is more like a work of fiction as it keeps changing what is being displayed - sometimes within an hour or so. So far I have had 'Out for Delivery' followed by 'In Transit', 'Delay', 'Out for Delivery', 'In Transit', 'Out for Delivery', 'In Transit' - you get the idea! All you get from UPS Customer Service are platitudes and the promise that it will be delivered today (this is now day 4), but they can't give me a time or even a slot merely 'by the end of the day' - which means (apparently) anthing up to 9/10pm. In an email from Customers Services this morning I was told, quote: "Due to this upcoming holidays, we are experiencing high volume of parcels... " Who would have expected THAT with Christmas approaching and most of the country in Tier 3 restrictions due to Covid and all but essential shops and stores being closed?! Another line in the email says "but good thing we have contingency plans to make delivery faster". Really? They clearly aren't working then! I'd bet the house on it not arriving today - time will tell if I have made an accurate assesment of this joke of a company. My advice? AVIOD, AVOID, AVOID.
