I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Vinted over the past few weeks. I’ve been trying to reset my password to log into my account, and despite multiple attempts and reaching out to customer service, I’ve gotten absolutely nowhere. Vinted’s customer service has been shockingly unhelpful – possibly the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Responses are slow, repetitive, and completely lacking in any real support or resolution. Every message feels like a copy-paste with no real intention to assist. What’s even worse is that I have credit on my account, which I can’t access because I’m locked out. Vinted are effectively holding my money hostage. It feels like theft. I’ve followed all instructions, jumped through every hoop, and still – no access, no help, and no accountability from their side. I used to enjoy using Vinted, but this experience has completely changed my view of the platform. Until they improve their customer service and actually support their users, I cannot recommend them to anyone.

“When there are any issues, Customer Service is shocking - it is always an automated reply which normally doesn't actually cover what is asked. I've gone back to ebay. Vinted have a lot to learn from EBay and I was a good purchaser. It look 3-4 weeks to get an item and that is unacceptable especially as you pay for insurance.

If I could give a negative rating, I absolutely would. My experience with this buyer has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The parcel was marked as delivered by Evri, with full tracking information available showing the delivery was completed. However, the buyer claims that the parcel never arrived at her address in LL68 9GD. What makes this situation even worse is that the shipping label was prepaid and created by the buyer herself. This means the address used for shipping was provided and confirmed by her — I had no involvement or control over it. Despite this, I am now left without the item, which was worth £80, and have not received any payment for it. I have already reported the issue to Vinted and submitted all relevant evidence, including screenshots of the tracking details and the original shipping label. The case is currently being investigated. I sincerely hope Vinted takes appropriate action because sellers should not have to suffer losses due to false claims or misuse of the platform. This situation feels like a scam, and it’s deeply upsetting to lose both the item and the money. I’m sharing this warning so other sellers are aware and can take extra precautions when dealing with prepaid shipping labels or buyers who may not be acting in good faith. To all fellow sellers: double-check everything, take clear photos, and save all correspondence and tracking details. Even when you do everything right, things can still go wrong — and unfortunately, it’s not always easy to get protection as a seller. I trusted the platform and followed every step, only to end up losing out in the end. Be careful out there — not everyone is honest.

Whilst the platform it self is fine when it works - the sre so many times there are issues and the Customer Service is shocking - it is always an automated reply which normally doesn't actually cover what is asked. I've had numerous items removed as doesn't comply - however they 100% do! Brand New still sealed Gillette Shaver - listed in 'shaving tools' removed for not complying! Despite the fact there is a whole category for it! Appeal and you get a standard "tough" reply. Every single time! No human seems to actually work there - all replies seem to be AI replies and it's super frustrating and exactly the reason I've gone back to ebay.

Beware of Vinted! You buy something damaged, and if you want to return it, you have to do it at your own expense. Why? Because Vinted knows there’s a chance you won’t bother returning it, and then they get to keep the sales commission. It’s a scandal, but that’s how it works. There is no buyer protection at all! This issue should be reported to the Consumer Protection Office.

Item I sent was damaged by courier. No help to get compensation. Photos clearly showed it was very badly damaged. Blamed me saying it was not packaged correctly. No support, AVOID!!

No interest in protecting sellers when buyers lie about the condition of the item. I have only used this platform twice,once was great the other terrible. Would not use again

Terrible experience. I bought an item that was damaged by the shipping company. I raised a complained, they asked me to send them photos etc within 48h - which I did. They totally ignored me, all the info I have sent to them in time and just released my payment without considering my complaint. Now I am sitting here with a broken item and my lost money. Really terrible, bad customer service and I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Buyer failed to pick up the item and was refunded, while I lost the item and the money from selling it. Vinted support was useless and told me there was no solution. This is NOT a secure platform for sellers.

De verzending via Vinted en de klantenservice is een ramp. Meerdere keren meegemaakt dat pakketten heel lang kwijt zijn en dan na meerdere weken op een totaal verkeerd pakketpunt meerdere kilometers bij me vandaan geleverd worden. En de klantenservice doet er niets aan. Echt vreselijk, ik koop nooit meer iets via hen.

Bought a counterfeit item (which was listed as authentic). I flagged this to Vinted and after I sent them photo proof showing that it is clearly a fake, they still insisted I pay for shipping to return it to the seller. The Ts&Cs clearly state the buyer should not be responsible for shipping if fake items are bought. I then requested them to do an official item verification and they said it is not possible?! Which is very strange as this item had available item verification when I bought it. Vinted KNOWS it is FAKE, but they are still letting the vulnerable buyer be financially impacted instead of having the seller, who sells fake items pay for the return shipment. Super disappointed

A joke...been using this app for over a year now and never had a problem until now...they sent me 2 labels that won't scan or process on the parcel machines. No customer service no to call and an automated message service that doesn't reply and solve your issue. Pathetic I will not be using ever again...the app will deleted

Total lack of support from Vinted when purchased from seller, after investigation which took 6 weeks Vinted finds in favour to the seller despite, despite seller telling lies. Vinted even removed my negative feedback to the seller. Ok if your selling, I will never use Vinted again.

Vinted’s refund system is completely unfair to sellers. A buyer falsely claimed my item was damaged, and I issued a full refund as it was the right thing to do, assuming they’d have to return it. Vinted later told me that because I manually refunded, I now have no way to get my item back. This means the buyer got both their money and my item for free—how is that fair? Vinted failed to warn me about this, and their support was completely unhelpful and dismissive. Sellers, be warned: their policy allows buyers to exploit you with zero consequences.

I really had high hopes for Vinted. It seemed such a great platform to buy preloved clothes. However when things go wrong I just feel like Vinted pass the buck. I've brought an item not as described and Vinted sided with the buyer with no comeback from me whatsoever to challenge the decision. Then I've had trainers delivered with them missing. Vinted took two months to come back to me and handed the money back straight to the buyer without an investigation. I wouldn't recommend selling anything of value and only buy if you are super confident you are getting what you have paid for. Its a real shame that the company washes its hands and is not supportive. This would not happen on Ebay or Etsy.

If the seller sent you wrong items e.g. completely wrong size, you still need to pay for the return shipping fee, its ridiculous

We agreed on £250 which I then sent double boxed bubble wrapped and sealed in plastic only for the "buyer" to say packaging was damaged.. I have sent in excess of 20 emails to try and get Vinted to resolve with no success, its also been 7 weeks since I sent the item!
