“Been with vitacost for many years now. Customer service not friendly at all anymore. Received a sealed box with zn open bag of chips spilled all over in the box. No apologies! I had used $20 in bonus money from a previous order. Could not combine with discount that was going on at the time. All other companies let ypu combine because it's a bonus not a discount. Something changed at vitacost not the same anymore. Very disappointed in them . Unlikely that i will be buying from them anymore.”
“I received a confirmation email after I ordered and then I waited and never heard anything. I finally called and they said my order was cancelled due to some kind of delay. I NEVER received an email stating that my order was cancelled. I called and they said that I had to reorder - I asked if they could wave the shipping and ship it faster and they said "NO." This is absolutely wrong and very unprofessional. I was told I would get an email that my order was cancelled and I've never received one. This is very unprofessional - the customer service person was very unempathetic and sounded more like a robot without caring, understanding or offering anything to get me my product which I had been counting on. I decided to just order from Amazon.”

When I spoke to customer service about the first error, reply was a ridiculous re-calculation read back to me as she "looked at my order receipt." I asked to have the new receipt emailed to me. She agreed to do so but it never happened. My online account still shows total order was 29 cents less than credit card was charged. FRAUD”

“I’m in the middle of an email exchange that is over a month long over a damaged order. I tried my best and initially submitted photos that show just how much the spiked product was coating the entire order, all without being asked to. Over a month later they finally got around to processing the refund but now they want more photos. I have long since cleaned up the mess from the orders damage- that was 100% due to the error that took place during packing. (I exactly know this bc an item leaked all over the order. They pulled the item, didn’t replace it and kept the contaminated contents that made up the rest of the order in the box.) The customer service is beyond horrible. I’ve been a long time customer- over 10 years. It’s clear that the Kroger acquisition has done nothing good for this once reputable company. I keep explaining the situations facts over and over and they keep demanding photos that I can’t provide. The amount of emails is ridiculous and borderline harassment as they refuse to address any of my absolutely valid concerns and and explanations. They are about to loose a customer who spend thousands a year on supplements from their store.”
“I have been a customer w/ Vitacost since 2018 and NEVER had an issue with shipments. Shipments used to be very good and speedy. I placed an order on 9.23.24 and it never arrived. The package was returned to Vitacost. So, I asked Vita to resend the order which again NEVER arrived. I rec'd refunds for the first 2 orders. My latest order of 12/31/24 also never arrived. I called Vitacost customer service several times and was promised the order. I contacted the delivery company, Ontrac, with NO response whatsoever from them. Today 1.10.25 , I requested a refund from Vitacost which I do not know if I will get. Vitacost said it would be done but I have no faith.

“This company has gone down hill in the past years. I recently placed an order.11/12/2024 to be shipped to my daughter’s house in LA California. Two days later I received an email asking me for information on this order. I sent them the information they were asking for the same day. They canceled my order two days later and said they never received the information. I called them when I noticed they credited my credit card as they never sent me an email to tell me they were canceling the order. I reordered my order over the phone and received a confirmation number. They said it would be shipped in 2 to 3 days. I reordered on a Monday and on Thursday I sent them an email asking when will the order be shipped. I never received a reply. On Friday I called them and they canceled my order again and they could not tell me why again, plus they never asked for information again or did they send me an email about canceling the order. I told the lady on the phone I would not be reordering this again with them and that I will write a bad review and report them to the Better Business. I have be using this computer for over 30 years and I never had this problem before. They have become a crappy company and I recommend no one to do business with them. I ordered the same supplements and soap from iherbs and the price is the same. It will arrive in 3 days also.”

“I am a long time customers and place large orders throughout the year. I paid $30 for overnight shipping on a Friday morning. Customer service assured me I would have order by Saturday since I placed order before 1 pm. I did not receive order until Tue afternoon. When I called customer service to ask for return of $30 overnight shipping fee I was told order was delivered within their "time frame" and that it can take several days to pack shipment. Asked to speak with manager and was told none was available. Buyer Beware.”
“I have been their client for many years, and they always used to care both for their clients and how the product is packaged but something has recently changed. Over a month ago, I ordered a few packages of quite expensive chocolate for a birthday. They decided to send it in a bag. Needles to say that over $100 in chocolate melted and got broken. I contacted them, they weren’t willing to give the money back and said they’ll send me a label to send it back. Twice I followed up and nothing. Money and chocolate went down the drain. I do not recommend to deal with this company anymore, unless your willing to risk your money on online food that may get there deformed.”

“The customer Service at Vitacost has been declining over the last few years. I recently logged in to take advantage of a promotion and stack a couple of offers (they let you do that). I reached out and was told that I was unable to stack the promos - even though the product page suggested using both codes together (and I have screenshots showing this). They removed one of the promos from the product page, and refused to honor the deal - even though they made the mistake and falsely advertised that both could be used. So disappointed - it would have been an extra $10 off - curious if that was worth losing a customer over? No integrity on behalf of the organization.”
