I cancelled my contract and somehow it didn’t get cancelled. What sick game are you guys playing? Whatever you do please don’t take a contract with vodacom because cancelling ain’t easy

I am very disappointed! I moved to Vodacom from my Current Service provider because of obvious challenges of coverage. The reason for this request is due to the fact that we struggle to connect when we are in other living areas just next to the router- worse when we are in our upper level rooms! Guess what? Vodacom is even worse than the current provider. Luckily I delayed to cancel the current provider’s service. 2 weeks after their installation, I called them asking for immediate intervention. The lady who answered my call told me to call when I am next to my router- she indicated that I do not have any other choice but to buy extenders- which I did when I was advised that there is no other alternative! Yes I agreed to consider accordingly. She further told me I cannot buy my own because they can’t send their Technicians to assist if they are not Vodacom’s products. I then agreed to buy them from Vodacom. That was last week Friday, as I am writing this review: 1. No show from Vodacom 2. Internet still not working effectively 3. Vodacom already charged me for the Fibre and additional amount which I guess is for the two routers. Although I was intending to terminated the services of the current provider , I for some reason luckily never did! I was going to frustrate my family with this choice. I so wish I checked this reviews before choosing Vodacom which is currently my sole provider for my Cellphones for more than a decade and I was confident I will get the same good service with their fibre but unfortunately NO! I wish I read these reviews before ! I wouldn’t have chosen them for this. If at all you read your reviews, please cancel your fibre and save me this stress!

We are Vodacom customers from "day 1". Love the fact that they have no dropped calls although the price of their prepaid data packages disappointed is sometimes. But has been irritating me lately is the pathetic network issues Like we are gone back 20 years where we have to move around for a signal.. I have complained numerous times.. it was fixed and here we go again.. And the Vodapay app is so frustrating. When you try to make purchases, after bank approval, you have to return to the payment page, but you return to the homepage and start the whole process again.. sometimes to no avail. And then you end up buying crappy expensive data deals..sounds dodgy to me. By the way, this is happening to my husband and I. I'm so close to giving up Vodacom and moving to MTN.

I'm really fed up with the Vodacom Fibre team, from the consultants to their manager. I placed a relocation order, but they keep closing tickets without providing any assistance. Every day, a new ticket is created because the old one was closed without any resolution. What happened to the SLA rules regarding a ticketing system? Metrofibre can't even assist because they are hiding their account manager for the Metro Fibre account. He is really failing. I have lost a lot of money, and I have to call them daily to do their job, yet they are not even assisting. As much as their speed is perfect, the Fibre team is seriously failing them.

I am writing a COMPLAINT regarding the persistently poor network service provided by Vodacom in the Magalieskruin area. As a loyal customer, I am extremely disappointed with the inadequate signal strength and the lack of effective resolution to this ongoing issue. For several weeks, I, along with numerous other residents in the Magalieskruin area, have been experiencing SEVERE SIGNAL ISSUES, including frequent call drops, inability to complete a call or even make one, and complete loss of network connectivity. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue through calls, emails, and problem submissions to Vodacom, there has been no significant improvement in the quality of service. This situation has not only caused inconvenience but has also affected my ability to communicate effectively for both personal and professional purposes. As a network service provider, Vodacom is expected to deliver reliable and consistent connectivity, which is currently NOT being met in my area. Despite numerous calls to customer service and promises that the issue would be resolved, nothing has changed. The service is UNRELIABLE, and the customer support team is UNRESPONSIVE or UNWILLING to tend to the issues. I DO NOT RECOMMEND VODACOM TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR RELIABLE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES!!

Useless Vodacom Business Fibre after support. I have encountered 3 different issues with our business fibre, every time it takes 7-9 days to resolve the problem. I would recommend not signing up with Vodacom, if your business is reliant on internet, Vodacom is not the way.

My WhatsApp account was recently hacked. The hacker is out there using my number to get people that are in my contacts to send an ewallet or cash send to the number.. Vodacom has refused to block the vodacom umber because they say that number has been inactive for years since I've been using the number for WhatsApp only. However, the hacker is using that number to con people and receive ewallet and cash send via sms. So now this person has been busy for almost a week. The Vodacom Fraud department has not responded to the email I was told to send after being advised by the Vodacom customer care line. Their Fraud department is useless.they don't even answer the calls. I'm ready to change networks after a lifetime of knowing just Vodacom as my network.

My mother took out a contract for me in Menlyn, after leaving the store and got home, simcard was not working for day, she went back they said the simcard was rejected by their system. After revisiting the store more than 3 times, We called and asked for cancellation as it was within 14 working days foe cancellation. She then when to the store to finally cancel and they still didn't give her the new data simcard but still has the nerve to debit money from her account. Now are they threatening me with their collection department. Worse scammed, please guys stay away from vodacom, then don't even deserve a rate of even 1 star

Vodacom is a SCAM guys be careful before taking their contract. I you buy a car today and a bank finance it then it will have an interest but the moment you want to settle the car the can never make you pay for the future interests. With Vodacom when you want to settle the account they make you pay for the data for the remaining months hence they are not gonna give you that data, the its a scam, their network is very bad on the other side 🚮🚮. When you see VODACOM run away when u subscribe to their contract i don’t know what they do but any person calling you it will show private no, really impossible to know who is calling coz it shows unknown even if you saved their no, in order for you to remove that you must pay🚮🚮🚮. I wish people can read this and screenshot this, share it to all social media platforms so we can save our own people.

Vodacom contract ended months ago after getting debited for unknown subscription now that the contract ended and removed from my credit score after i fought with their complaints department they debited me today i am so angry 😡 i don’t know even have their sim card and have been done with them don’t ever get a Vodacom contract

I've been having network issues for the last 2 months and still no resolution. Vodacom just tells me that it's with the network team. We have lost an online job in our home now because of this and still vodacom doesn't care or even bother to address the issue. They tell me there are too many users on their towers which is causing the network problems. Is this for real?!?! I am appalled!!! Stay away from vodacom! I have even reported them in Hello Peter and still, no resolution. They don't care about their clients.

Complaint Title: Frustrating Experience with Vodacom's Contract Cancellation and Billing Issues Complaint: I am writing to share my extremely disappointing experience with Vodacom regarding my recent contract cancellation and the subsequent billing issues. Prior to the end of my contract, I specifically requested to be moved to a prepaid plan. Despite this, Vodacom did not honor my request. When my contract was finally canceled, all remaining data and minutes were removed from my account, but I was still billed for them at the end of the month. This is completely unacceptable. I called the call center multiple times to resolve this issue. Twice I received no help at all. On one occasion, I managed to get some assistance, but it mysteriously vanished without any explanation. I've also repeatedly refused "free" data offers and explicitly asked for a refund for the data and minutes I was incorrectly billed for, but my request has been ignored. I've spent a significant amount of time—approximately two-thirds of my available time—trying to sort this out, all to no avail. To make matters worse, Vodacom's customer service has been appalling. The process of transitioning from a contract to prepaid has been unnecessarily complex. The high data rates are outrageous, and 80% of the customer representatives I've dealt with have been either rude or lacked the necessary knowledge to address my issues. There also seems to be no effective tracking of customer service interactions, which only adds to the frustration. Vodacom has made the contract cancellation process impossibly difficult. Given this terrible experience, I strongly advise against using Vodacom. Their data rates are excessively high, and their customer service is among the worst I've ever encountered.

Vodacom fibre is the most pathetic and useless of them all, poor network connection and problems after problems. The rubbish fibre has been down since Friday the 14th and till now we still don't have internet. If you think load shedding is a problem in south africa then you haven't used Vodacom fibre.

I've been a Vodacom customer for 20 years and the service fee by debit order is usually R430 a month. In November 2023 they started taking R2400 per month. No upgrade, no new phone, no increase in the calls I make. Just started robbing me monthly. I only noticed in April 2024 and reported the problem as "upgrade fraud" (a thing, I assume). Sent them IDs and proofs and statements and explanations as required on the same day and was told I'd be contacted within a day or two and the problem would be resolved within a week. Well guess what? Crickets. Every 2 days I get a reference number from them by text. The same reference number again and again ... calling doesn't help, I get blah blah yes we'll sort it out and then nothing happens. Its now the end of another month and they're going to take another 2400 from me. Criminal disregard for, and abuse of, their customers.

Appalling service and A company is corrupt My iPhone 13 was stolen and their insurer would not pay out. They also kept harassing me to continue to pay the contract when they ha e illegally ignored my dispute to claim from insurance My lawyer contacted them and still no response to resolve! Do not insure your phone with them - use a broker!
