I've been having network issues for the last 2 months and still no resolution. Vodacom just tells me that it's with the network team. We have lost an online job in our home now because of this and still vodacom doesn't care or even bother to address the issue. They tell me there are too many users on their towers which is causing the network problems. Is this for real?!?! I am appalled!!! Stay away from vodacom! I have even reported them in Hello Peter and still, no resolution. They don't care about their clients.

Complaint Title: Frustrating Experience with Vodacom's Contract Cancellation and Billing Issues Complaint: I am writing to share my extremely disappointing experience with Vodacom regarding my recent contract cancellation and the subsequent billing issues. Prior to the end of my contract, I specifically requested to be moved to a prepaid plan. Despite this, Vodacom did not honor my request. When my contract was finally canceled, all remaining data and minutes were removed from my account, but I was still billed for them at the end of the month. This is completely unacceptable. I called the call center multiple times to resolve this issue. Twice I received no help at all. On one occasion, I managed to get some assistance, but it mysteriously vanished without any explanation. I've also repeatedly refused "free" data offers and explicitly asked for a refund for the data and minutes I was incorrectly billed for, but my request has been ignored. I've spent a significant amount of time—approximately two-thirds of my available time—trying to sort this out, all to no avail. To make matters worse, Vodacom's customer service has been appalling. The process of transitioning from a contract to prepaid has been unnecessarily complex. The high data rates are outrageous, and 80% of the customer representatives I've dealt with have been either rude or lacked the necessary knowledge to address my issues. There also seems to be no effective tracking of customer service interactions, which only adds to the frustration. Vodacom has made the contract cancellation process impossibly difficult. Given this terrible experience, I strongly advise against using Vodacom. Their data rates are excessively high, and their customer service is among the worst I've ever encountered.

Vodacom fibre is the most pathetic and useless of them all, poor network connection and problems after problems. The rubbish fibre has been down since Friday the 14th and till now we still don't have internet. If you think load shedding is a problem in south africa then you haven't used Vodacom fibre.

Vodacom is really just the wrost network ever. Why would you change your already extremely expensive prices and deals overnight. I feel like porting to Telkom. Vodacom's data is really expensive and the deals that normal South Africans can atleast afford changes over night. The wrost really

I've been a Vodacom customer for 20 years and the service fee by debit order is usually R430 a month. In November 2023 they started taking R2400 per month. No upgrade, no new phone, no increase in the calls I make. Just started robbing me monthly. I only noticed in April 2024 and reported the problem as "upgrade fraud" (a thing, I assume). Sent them IDs and proofs and statements and explanations as required on the same day and was told I'd be contacted within a day or two and the problem would be resolved within a week. Well guess what? Crickets. Every 2 days I get a reference number from them by text. The same reference number again and again ... calling doesn't help, I get blah blah yes we'll sort it out and then nothing happens. Its now the end of another month and they're going to take another 2400 from me. Criminal disregard for, and abuse of, their customers.

Appalling service and A company is corrupt My iPhone 13 was stolen and their insurer would not pay out. They also kept harassing me to continue to pay the contract when they ha e illegally ignored my dispute to claim from insurance My lawyer contacted them and still no response to resolve! Do not insure your phone with them - use a broker!

Yesternight I bought a 20gig data using my phone inorder to transfer it to another number after I had seen that vodacom does do data transfer. To my surprise the option told me no data to transfer. I became frustrated because I bought it urgently for a matriculant to attend a class online Friday. I contacted vodacom via chat but the chatbot told me it's after hours I should contact them in the morning during work hours. In the morning I couldn't get anyone to help me in their chat line. I sent emails instead I received automated reply. I ended up having to call, and currently I'm not in the country so calls are very costly for me like R5 per minute. I called so that I can get the matter sorted. I spoke with Agent Nosipho. Surprisingly she doesn't know her job at all. She told me there's no such option as to transfer data. She asked me to tell where I got the information. I told her the options I used, she then said ok, told me to hold, then she told me I will only be able to transfer data once is 3 days before expiration date. I asked to speak to the complaints department, she asked me to hold she's transferring my call. I waited only the line for a while, then she returned and said the same thing that I can't transfer. I asked her again that she said she was transferring me to the complaints department she said actually I can talk to her supervisor (Ntokozo) but Ntokozo came and insulted my intelligence but it has proventhathe also doesn't know their job. He told me when I told him there are no such terms and conditions on the options I selected he told me that I needed to have gone to vodacom page and read. He claimed that under the option I selected for the data transfer is written that one must check TCs. I took a screenshot, it doesn't have such information he's claiming. He further said that I knew I was out of the country and still didn't seek counsel from their customer service. I asked to speak to a complaints department he said they don't have a phone . Option was that I can only get refund when data is left with 3 days. I kept explaining why I did what I that I need it for a matriculant who is going to have an online lesson on Friday and I have no other option for him to attend. He told me that they can only help me once daft is 3 days to expiration. I am really disappointed in Vodacom, I expected more.

My mother (90 years of age) has had a prepaid phone with no internet connections with vodacom for plus minus 20 years. In Feb we loaded R300.00 on her airtime. Begining of March she had to go to hospital and her phone was switched off. Mid April I put her phone on her bal was R5.00 odd I loaded another R200.00 on her phone and check her balance, she had R34.00. I went to a vodacom shop and they informed me she had 2 subscriptions on her phone which we immediately cancelled. A lady from Vodacom contacted me to say they would refund her airtime on her phone with R175.00 which I disputed as it had cost R500.00 in the past 2 months. Needless to say she has not yet been refunded. Vodacom have 3rd party partners which Vodacom charge the customer for and no one realises that they are being charged for subscriptions especially on prepaid. This is daylight thieving

Vodacom as a network is a poor network provider with very poor customer service!. I opened a Vodacom fiber contract a year ago and closed the account but it still shows as arrears on my credit score, i have called several times for them to fix the matter and no one has been helpful. I also took out a voucher advance for R300 and was charged R500. Still no one was able to assist me in this matter!. I WILL NEVER ASSOCIATE WITH SUCH A POOR SERVICE PROVIDER AGAIN!

Change your email address on the app (because the functionality is there and we live in a tech-savvy era) yet.... no statement and when you call in you are told, you NEED to call in to change your details... The customer service bot is useless... it gives you stupid options and answers, that don't help at all and no option to speak to a consultant when you call... or chat via the app... you NEED to access Vodacom's website to get the option to speak to a consultant - if you are lucky... Quick to take your money and sell you something new, with no regard for after sales service or actual customer support...

No words can describe my experience with Vodacom. They should close shop and leave. They are the worst service provider and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Very very disappointed...I bought a screen protector at Vodacom "Ultra Tempered glass" and before end of the week the screen protector started cracking on its own and I went to the branch and I was told that they are waiting for someone to confirm and waited for like 5 weeks without any response...I went back and I was told that they can not change the screen protector because they are assuming that I broke it on purpose...I am very disappointed

Bonus airtime disappears within hours after buying airtime, no phone calls or internet usage. Prizes won in competitions not available or received. No customer support available except the useless Tobi bot. Complaint emails sent to customer service bounces back undeliverable. LTE signal disappears without notice.

I have been with Vodacom for over 12 years and in all that time they the most horrible company there is ,they don't deserve even 1 star. There service is horrible they ly to you just to make money. The customer care department is rude. When they make you ups and you get frustrated with them they put the phone down in your ear. There is no care form the customer they just want money. I left MTN for this horrible disappointing company. They are just the worse you can find. I would recommend not to get them as a provider!!!!

Dishonest service provider! When I got my new device they double deducted the monthly amount in the first month. The local Vodacom branch manager tried everything to resolve the issue, to no avail. Yesterday I bought additional data, being valid for 7 days. When I logged on today, it states my data is finished yet I have not used all of it. Just scrolling through the reviews shows that I am not alone in my believe that its a rotten company! I also have contracts with their opposition, MTN with whomI have had little to no problems ever!
