Got cut off several times by customer services, was told I was lying about the texts I received from Vodafone. Yet I have proof of my top up with my 'freebies'. Yet they said no messages were shown on there system, so much for being a technical company. Will never recommend or be with Vodafone.

Signed up for a pay monthly sim. Unlimited texts and calls. 2 GB of data. The guys in the store told me it is one GB of data but they would change it to 2 . But 2 weeks later I get a message from vodafine saying that I only have 250 MB of my monthly 1 GB of data left. Contacted customer services etc. They basically are dismissing what I tell them and is written and signed on my order forms by the store reps. I'm over 100 miles from the store when not at work. I work 6am to 6 pm. Yet this is a Vodafone cock up. They don't care or put the effort in to rectify root cause of the problem. Will cancel and advise all to stay well clear of Vodafone. ..for life!!!!

Shocking service for a Vodafone business user, you can complain over and over again but always you get someone in S.Africa or worse in Egypt and the English is so bad they cant even understand you. I would not touch them again even after nearly 15 years with them, since this lot got them it has really gone down hill.

Everything from being over charged on many occasions to appalling customer service, terrible network coverage and no loyalty rewards at all. Don't tie yourself in with these guys as you may never be able to leave.

Overcharged me for UK Data. When I queried the charges and asked for a statement that provided evidence for these charges they said they couldn't for security reasons. The customer service support guy's validity for the charges was a repeated statement that 'I'm sorry the charges are valid' - yes but where is the evidence... Not only this, when he read out the charges for my account, the numbers didn't even match the numbers I could see on their website. If that doesn't show they made them up then I don't know what does. Will be leaving the company as soon as possible and spreading the word that Vodafone exploits people's trust in the charging system and outright robs you with no supporting evidence to explains their actions.

Last year I purchased mobile broadband for £8 a month which in actual fact I never used so a waste of money really. I completely forgot about it and carried on paying for it as I agreed to that contract. I had two contract phones with Vodafone plus the mobile broadband so they were getting a lot of money from me a month. At the start of last year my monthly payments were extremely high compared to what I normally would pay but I assumed without checking maybe it was because I was going over my data. I thought nothing more of it until about 4 months ago when I went to cancel one of my contracts. I cancelled it early and was willing to pay the charges I waited for the end of the month and still no cancellation on the contract. I phoned again and finally someone cancelled my old contract properly on the 2nd attempt. When my bill came in for that month which was around £167 I thought it was even higher because of the cancellation of my old contract. Paid it thought nothing more until the following month when I received a bill of £225! I phoned them immediately and asked what is going on with my account to find out they had re-installed the mobile broadband on my account from £8 to £30 for 2gb a month then the last two months £100 a month for 5gb!!!!! I never signed a contract for this and never asked for it to be put on to my account. The £8 a month mobile broadband yes but not £30 or £100 broadband !!!! They told me it was an error and they will refund me for this. Was told I would get a call back but nothing. I called about 7 times about this situation was promised I would have a refund of over £500 plus compensation but no email as requested to confirm this. I phoned again and again and finally after false promises constantly I spoke to a gentleman that kept to his promise and after 4 hours of his listening back to phone calls and chasing up the problem they issued me the refund. Once my last contract ends in December I'm afraid I will no longer use Vodafone. I can't believe for a whole year I never noticed that the money was taken out of my account until they started taking a ridiculous amount of £100 out! Just a good job it happened really. Also the communication with colleagues at Vodafone is appalling they do not write enough notes on your accounts for the next person that you speak to so you have to go through the whole process again and many of the people that work on the phones do not understand English. Waste of time and wouldn't recommend anyone using them also would like to say that the signal can be very temperamental sometimes it's okay in the same location and then suddenly the next day no service.

If you are considering changing to Vodafone DON'T. I was with Orange for over 12 years and regretably changed to Vodafone. The iphone I received was faulty from the start, it was sent for repair and even then it did not work properly. I tried over several weeks to contact them but nobody would speak to me! I was promised return calls 10 times but nobody called me back, nobody knows what is going on. I want to write directly to Nick Jeffrey CEO as ultimately he carrys the can and gets paid top whack for what I wonder. As an update, after 4 weeks of trying I finally got to speak to somebody called Jacob in the complaints department He said that the contractual monthly payment of 31 pounds would be credited to my account and that I would receive a text message confirming this on the same day. To date 2 weeks later I still have not received this. This is an absolute disgrace. I would NEVER treat a customer in this manner.

Unacceptable Customer "Service". I've had a week of their crap customer service regarding a problem with my account whilst trying to upgrade to a new phone and tariff. I called Monday 16th January to upgrade. It was all agreed that I was upgrading to an iPhone 7 Plus 128GB handset on a 24GB per month (half price for first 6 months) tariff. This was all agreed, T's & C's were read to me, the new contract was agreed on the phone and I was told I'd receive the phone on Wednesday 18th January. Brilliant! However. I then got a phone call from Vodafone about 40 minutes later saying that there was a problem with the upgrade and was told that I couldn't upgrade as this month's bill hadn't been paid yet, so I asked to be transferred to billing and paid it in full straight away. Then, I was transferred back to the upgrade department and I was connected to a different person who told me that my account was showing a "promise to pay" on it and they couldn't do anything for me! I had JUST paid my bill and hadn't asked to have a promise to pay set up. The guy on the phone also told me that I couldn't have the tariff I'd been told I could and agreed to, as they don't offer the half price on the 24GB data tariff. He also told me that the iPhone 7 Plus wasn't in stock and I'd have to wait 1-2 weeks minimum for it but he couldn't do any upgrade for me due to this thing on my account. I asked to speak to a manager, but was told they don't speak to customers on the phones (how professional). I then spoke to a senior member of staff who told me they were going to sort the problem and get the upgrade done for me "on the spot". They struggled to get this promise to pay taken off my account, and it is STILL on there FIVE DAYS LATER, and I am still unable to upgrade. I have made about 7 phone calls to Vodafone and logged 2 formal complaints. Neither of which have been dealt with. One of the people I dealt with regarding the first complaint told me she would call me back the following day at 12pm to update me with the progress but never did. The second person cut me off whilst I was on hold and never rang me back. They supposedly escalated the problem on Tuesday regarding getting this stupid promise to pay off my account and I was told that it would take 2-3 DAYS to do and I would get a call back once it was done. It is still on there and I haven't had a single call back as promised. I finally spoke to someone on Wednesday as I decided to call and try again to resolve it and I was told that it was fine, they've been able to work around the problem and my phone would be on its way to me for Friday delivery as I'd missed the next day cut off. Great! Finally all sorted! NO!!! I checked my DPD account this morning to make sure it was all going to plan, and it was showing as no deliveries scheduled. So I called a Vodafone AGAIN and I was told that my order had been automatically cancelled as the account was showing as being in "Collections". I demanded to speak to a manager. Again, told they weren't able to get a manager on the phone and instead put me through to a senior advisor. I was told that I had been lied to by the previous service advisors with respect to being upgraded and with regards to the phone I asked for being sent. I'd also been told false information regarding the phone's availability and that they have no stock of the 7 Plus whatsoever and that depending on colour choice, it would be a 1-2 or a 2-4 week wait. By this point I was seeing red. I have been told lie upon lie by numerous different staff over the last 5 days. I have been transferred to departments that weren't anything to do with the situation. I have been cut off by the advisor whilst being on hold. I have entered TWO separate agreements and had both cancelled. I had been told by a senior advisor that Vodafone HAVE to keep to any promises they've made their customers and I've had nothing close to that. And, to top it off, despite this situation being escalated TWICE to get something I didn't ask for on my account removed, it's still on there and I am still unable to upgrade. I have been told it's been escalated to the highest standard and it will be sorted but not given any time frame. Apparently once they've had a delivery of phones, they'll call me to tell me. But I've been promised a call back 3 times and only had 1 return my call. That was by Gemma today who was rather helpful. I am appalled by the service overall though. I've spent thousands of pounds with Vodafone the last few years and I'm trying to upgrade to an even higher tariff than I'm already on and spend more money, and this is the service I get! I wouldn't have minded so much if I had been told the truth from the start, but I wasn't. The service at this company is the worst of ANY UK network and I wouldn't recommend Vodafone to anyone whatsoever. Appalling company and total sham when it comes to customer service. No doubt this will have been a futile type up too as I can't imagine anyone will even bother replying or helping to resolve this issue and compensate for the trouble of the last week. I would have rated less than 1 star if the option was there.

Rubbish customer service. Will not offer courtesy phone whilst mine is sent for repair. Repair centre has replacement phone on back order after they failed to fix the problem Even when it cannot be repaired the store cannot provide you with the same replacement phone that the repair centre will send you. The local Store has the same phone in stock but they cannot give you one. Been without a phone now for 15 days.

Worst Phone Provider, Awful customer service skills!!! I have experienced such bad experience for the last couple of months with Vodafone. I was originally in a contract with them , so when it came to the upgrade time I wasn't too keen on staying on with them, however after they promised this deal and told me how much I'll be saving I ended up fallen for the trap. At the start the sales people promised you so much, it is unbeliveable really how nice they are to you. They tell you, you will be having this deal and you won't be paying for this extra component to your bill for a couple of months. So once I finally agreed to a set price for my contract I left it at that. With work I work away quite often so I didn't check my banking for a couple of months and I eventually came across the history of the direct debits and I got so angry. I ended up speaking to a member of their customer service team in which they said they would investigate and get back to me. However, this turned out to be complete lies as It ended up taking me to get back into contact with them regards this issue. When I eventually spoke to a member of there team , they ended up telling me due to it being more than 2 months they couldn't listen back to the phone calls from the past as they only keep the recorded conversations for 2 months. So they said or on less you can get some sort of concrete evidence as in email or text saying the promised charge of my monthly contract they couldn't do anything. I have been let down by this phone provider so many times I honestly would not recommend them to anyone. I have never experienced such a stressful and hard time dealing with something like this. One thing I would recommend would never ever believe anything they say. The countless amounts of time where I was promised and told something by there customer service workers and nothing ever came about it or happened. The worst is when they say they will get someone to call you back, If i was to wait for that I would never ever hear from them

My experience of the Vodafone broadband and home phone service: • Ordering the service took multiple attempts due to website issues. • Several days later Vodafone cancelled the order after sending me a router. • I called them and it was an error on their side, so they re-ordered the service including evening and weekend calls package. • They sent me another router. • Service was transferred from Sky. Phone seemed ok, but no broadband. • Broadband turned out to be a BT issue that took 2 days to get sorted out. • I spoke to their Customer Services who offered a 2 month refund on my rental. • I received a bill. Vodafone were charging for time when I had no service. • They had also debited my account for an unexplained sum, then credited back a lower amount. • I didn’t have the evening and weekend calls package I ordered. • Also, no refund on my rental. • I then also found out that my service doesn’t have voicemail, despite the fact it was, and still is, advertised as having voicemail. All the above happened in October / November last year. It has been reported, none of it has been fixed, and requests for action have been ignored. Finally I wrote to their CEO and got back a letter advising me to call their Tech support to solve my service interruptions. I have not complained about “service interruptions”. The router they supply is junk. Wireless clients lose connectivity to wired devices like printer, NAS. The router still sees them all, but they cannot communicate without restarting the router. They won’t provide you with the username and password so that you can provide your own. Broadband performance is poor. I have the 38/10Mbps service. Performance was good initially, but now is generally around 20Mbps but can go as low as 7Mbps downstream. Upstream is usually OK, but I don’t upload a great deal. I absolutely regret moving to Vodafone, both from the perspective of a rubbish service and equally bad “customer service”. My advice would be “don’t do it”.

Having been with Vodafone for 15 years and putting up with what best can be described as a poor coverage and a customer service team that doesn’t care in the slightest I cancelled my contact, this was in October 2015 , Vodafone carried on collecting the monthly direct debit of £35 for the next 12 months , I have now spent since October 2016 until now trying to recover the money that Vodafone have taken from me, I have contacted them no fewer than 14 times , they ether cut me off or tell me it has been sorted, but it never does, they reluctantly offer me £25 compensation, but with no intention of paying. In December I escalated the complaint to the Ombudsman. If this was not bad enough my wife cancelled her contract in October 2016, but this time we cancelled the direct debit, this should have been straight forward enough with most companies, but not the disgraceful Vodafone, instead they have instructed Frederickson’s to recover November , December and Januarys monthly premiums, Vodafone now tell me that yes my wife did ring to cancel the contract but there seems to be no notes on their system, they have also confirmed that my contracted telephone number has not been used since October 2016 and promise to call me back to get this sorted. You will not be surprise that the only correspondence I have had is from a debt collection agency wanting me to pay for a contract that has not been used and has been cancelled. The only difference between Vodafone and Mr D Turpin is the horse.
