“How many companies have the President and co-founder of the company contact you to work on a solution to an issue caused by only one part of all the parts for the product they shipped to you? Probably not very many. Fortunately for me, Dennis Wilding called me, Face-timed with me, Zoomed with me, sent a new part, and then provided videos and instructions as to how to uninstall the first part and install the replacement part. What was a slightly un-level situation with the desktop was solved with the new part to become (as you can see in the photo) perfectly level. I couldn't be more pleased with the bed, but more than that, I really appreciate the extra mile the owner of the company went to ensure that I was completely satisfied. It is nice to know that there are companies like Wilding that stand behind their work, all the way to the top. If I had more room, I'd order another bed just to say thanks.”
“I installed the F-200 Murphy Frame queen. Overall great bed and exceptionally sturdy. I used both the instruction booklet and video for assembly. One of the holes on the frame wasn't pre-drilled, but fortunately I had a drill bit that could make the hole I needed. There were some minor inconsistencies (not enough to decrease my review by a star) between the instructions/contents of the blister pack/video, but I was able to figure out what to do/what needed to go where. I'm thrilled with the amount of floor space I've regained in my guest room/office by being able to fold up the frame. I was a little concerned about the frame being able to remain upright safely, but once all the springs were installed, there is no way the bed could accidentally fall even with a mattress on it. Excellent product, and I would happily order another frame if needed in the future.”

“I originally left this review as a one star, however due to the care that was taken to make amends I've added two stars back.
We purchased a wall bed from this company and had a terrible experience, though some of our concerns were resolved by the end. The delivery was a nightmare. The courier service is absolutely awful.
The assembly process was even worse. We hired professionals based on the company's estimate of 2-4 hours for setup, but it took nearly 8 hours due to the poor-quality instructions. The written and video instructions were inconsistent and contradictory, causing hours of double-checking and rework. We were also missing over six pieces of hardware, which we had to purchase ourselves, adding to the delay and cost.
The springs are extremely tight, and the bed does not stay in the down position, even with bedding on it. It springs up unexpectedly, which is a serious safety hazard. Additionally, the bookcase doors were uneven and after a few weeks one of the door latches got stuck down, so the door wouldn't stay shut.
We reached out to the company and eventually heard back from the owner Dennis. He patiently heard our concerns and worked with us to find a solution that we felt good about. He also walked us through steps on evening out the the frame, and sent us a replacement part with instructions to fix the door latch. Dennis took down some of the discrepancies I could remember in the instructions and will be revising them. He also has adjusted the expected time for wall beds from 2-4 hours to closer to 7-8 hours.”
“The bed is great and gets the job (guest bed in a tight space) done. It is also very attractive.
I am giving it 3 stars because the set up directions were not clear and the 3rd party delivery company was awful. The directions enclosed did not always match the hardware or the specifics of the bed. I also watched the instructional videos (which were a bear to navigate, by the way), and these seemed to not apply to my specific bed in many instances. Taken together these left me guessing at a few important steps only to go back re-do steps. Very time consuming. I also felt that additional tools were required (a drill bit extender for attaching the frame to the doors, for example.. he’s clearly using one in the videos and we had to run to the hardware store multiple times during set up for things like this, not on the short list of required tools). The wrong handle hardware was sent for the bed and this was remedied quickly with a phone call, but both sets of hardware came with the wrong screws even though I was assured after calling about the first set that this was a mistake. The LED light kit had to be spliced and reconnected because the plastic wire connectors were cheap and detached upon arrival. I could go on and on..
I’m happy with the final product but found the assembly to be very very frustrating for the cost of the bed. We are pretty handy but this assembly is best left to a professional contractor in my opinion. On the other hand, I cannot imagine a contractor would charge less than $1K to put this together and would still be following confusing directions.”

“The Wilding Deskbed has exceeded our expectations. the people at Wilding were helpful every step of the way. Combining the Instruction Manual with the online videos is the way to go. Easy and simple to follow. I recommend doing a count of all of the fasteners and hardware before you start. I found a couple of parts missing or so I thought. They were already installed. Also, my biggest fear when building something like this is finishing and having extra parts left. My pre-count found a few extras, so no surprise at the end. Things that I did need were overnighted.
My only complaint would be that I was working on it over a weekend and was unable to reach Tech Support. I even called Sales on Saturday morning and the gentleman I spoke to said he would have Tech Support call me. The call never came. Wasn't a huge deal since I'm retired, but would have been if still working. One other small thing is there is a 1/4 x 45mm furniture bolt that apparently is only stocked in a bronze color. Everything else on the bed we ordered is black. I find it strange to buy a product for close to $5,000 and be told that I need to go to Ace Hardware to get 2-$2.00 bolts if I want them to match.
All that said, YES I WOULD DO IT ALL AGAIN! We love the bed.”

“I would like to share my experiences of purchasing a Queen Santa Fe Sofa Wall Bed from Wilding, a process that took several weeks and multiple calls and emails with Trent Aldredge due to the size of the room and a ceiling fan which might have proven itself an insurmountable problem. Trent was patient and as I kept sending and at times altering dimensions and clearances he was supportive, sending me architectural diagrams to verify the feasibility of the project; eventually, I ordered the bed you see in the images provided.
It isn't every day that I spend $7,000 over the phone or online, and a great many factors entered into the decision: 1) materials, 2)design, 3)construction, 4) Installation, 5) confidence in the people on the other end of the phone, and 6) all the little details Wilding has built into their organization.
MATERIALS: Oak, oak veneer, and all wood construction, not melamine, particle board, or cheaper substitutes.
DESIGN: There were only a few companies with the Sofa/Wall Bed OIption, and none were as attractive as the Wilding bed we chose.
CONSTRUCTION: I watched all the videos, not that I intended to install it myself, but to get a feel for the way the bed was put together.
INSTALLATION: Part of this is the design, the spring/lift assembly, but primarily this is one of only two companies that have designed a wall bed that does not require it being bolted to the floor. We have a cement slab floor with radiant-heating pipes so floor mounting would be difficult if not perilous risking hitting a pipe.
CONFIDENCE: Trent, Caden, and Kim, all of whom I dealt with were courteous, friendly, and knowledgable and when one of them said they would get back to you the call was always made, the samples were in the mailbox, the commitment was always met.
THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS: The Little Things, such as a well-designed website that allows you to pick and choose options, evaluate costs, understand delivery options, and make the right choices for you at each step of the ordering process.
A Touch-Up Kit for the inevitable mishap at some point in the future, the detailed video step-by-step installation guide along with the instructions, and the clearly packaged and labeled hardware preventing missteps along the way.
All of this was what led us to choose Wilding. Our new wall bed/sofa has turned our overcrowded room with its undersized antique bed is now Martha’s workout room and study/office, with/ a queen-sized Serta mattress which will be a pleasure for our guests. (I just received a call from the electrician and the fan will be back up tomorrow.)

“We love this bed. Solid, not some cheap wood, handsome too. It came really well packed and the shipping company was in contact once it left Utah. My husband followed the YouTube instructions and it went together well. It did take some effort and luckily he has carpentry skills but it would be easy enough for folks who have basic carpentry knowledge. My only nitpick with it was all the styrofoam it was in. Sure it kept everything in pristine condition but I felt horrible throwing it all in the trash since I couldn't find a recycling place to take it”
