New kitchen, our solid worktop fitted not following manufacturers instructions and it cracked. 3 months to repair and can see the join. Offered pathetic compensation and no replacement as it meets Sheridan’s satisfaction. I am paying for it and it doesn’t meet my satisfaction. Useless company

Total nightmare, designer did not listen to us from the onset. She did what she felt was right without knowing us or our preferences. We had to argue for what we needed and wanted. We paid cash for our kitchen, first mistake we had no come back. We had to delay installation as a family member was unwell. Harassed by wickes to have it fitted. Fitter was rude and moaning about everything. We where informed that the cost was the total cost we had to pay the fitter for extras we wanted. Found out that was a lie. We had to pay for the false ceiling for the lights which we asked was included in the price. We paid for parts not needed as the stupid planner: designer decided she didn’t wanted to remove items she wanted us to have and we didn’t want. So these are stuck in our house, wickes won’t take them back. Now the cooker I told the designer I did not want a black one she put a black one in and said she would change it and get back in touch. Well she ordered the black one. I said no do not deliver a black one we didn’t want it. Kitchen was nearly finished and no cooker, luckily I had the funds to find my own while waiting for a refund. One that matched the kitchen even the gutters where impressed 24hr delivery. Would take wickes 2 months to have another delivered. No compensation , spent lots of money on telephone calls to customer services. Wrong sink also. Total nightmare stress levels high , I now hate the kitchen I want it out.

Don't listen to the adverts that try to tell you how stress free it is to have a Wickes kitchen. As far as I am concerned it has been, and is continuing to be, one long nightmare. (Two years long at the moment) Issues too many to list and am worn out with constantly having to be in contact with customer services. I wish there was an option to put no stars.

I dealt with the Brighton branch. The designer was ok and 'designed' my small kitchen, although he neglected to tell me he hadn't ordered the hob I chose,so I purchase one elsewhere as the fitters needed it.I had many complaints concerning the fitters, who left me for over a week with no kitchen indoors, they left it all outside the back door and left.I had to move the washing machine and cabinets for my own safety.Their excuse was the plasterer had personal problems. After the week was up,they returned and didn't like the fact I was understandably annoyed, and made it quite obvious by their rudeness. One of them had a friend onsite, was just hung around,I had no idea who he was.I asked that it didn't happen again and was told that he "was just waiting for me,he's not going to nick anything"I pointed out the deep gash they had made in the old vinyl floor,my answer was,"Well you're getting a new one" I pointed out that that was true, but not planning on it just yet,but it looked like I'd have to. I just wanted these guys off my property, and felt worn down and really disappointed by the time they said they'd finished.I paid them and they told me that the electrics would be inspected within 2 weeks. There were several pieces of shoddy and poor workmanship, which I complained to head office about,I had to get the ceiling replasterd, some of the walls, and an independent fitter, who Wicke's employ just to fix their contractors mess.He was brilliant and rewired and replaced a broken socket, which was from my old kitchen and placed in a cupboard where perhaps it was assumed I wouldn't notice, attached facia strip to a strip of bare wood underneath the oven, adjusted the kick boards which didn't fit before I had the new floor, and a few other jobs. I found Wicke's customer services to be most unhelpful, and the final Electrician's check which was going to be within a couple of weeks, took 4 months to happen, and this was after requests from myself. On a positive note, the payment for a carousel for the interior of a cupboard, which I specifically didn't order, was refunded eventually.

Wickes couldn’t arrange anything on time, started a week late on the second approved installer, he did 4 hours, stripping out work surface, sink, turned off water and left, didn’t return. 5 days later 3rd installer arrived and was great however 10 days in a building site and no sink, oven covered yet we had a useable kitchen according to Wickes, or eat oven chips was suggested by the Bicester store, blamed each other, lied to and about, twisted idea of customer service and an insulting offer. DO NOT USE Wickes arranged installation, they simply cannot arrange anything. Shocking service.

Bought a kitchen from Wickes! Worst mistake I ever made!!! The fitters were useless, kitchen was badly fitted, fitters turned up when they felt like it! They were abusive, threatening as well as Fraudulent (I have evidence)! Customer Services were even more useless, the Installation Manager turned up smelling of Lcihol and couldn't see any problems!! Yet the designer could!! Still can't get resolved!!

If I could give 0 stars I would! Awful service from store to fitting and the aftermath, which is the most frustrating tbh. Faults galore but within tolerances, a word wishes use to cover up their shoddy workmanship time.and time again! Steer well clear

Went into Rugby Branch of Wickes on Saturday 31st August and bought a tin of Wickes Trade Pure Brilliant White Paint. When I painted some wood in my hall it was 'not white at all, it was cream' I rang the store and complained and the person I spoke to said other Customers had reported the same thing and take it back for my refund. Why on earth, if other people had reported the colour was not brilliant white, were they still selling it as such. It has now made a complete mess of my paintwork in my hall and I will have to start again. Let alone the inconvenience of having to take it back. I will not be using this Company again. It's ridiculous.

If you are thinking to buy a kitchen from Wickes - DON'T. I asked for mine to be taken out after fitting because it was so bad so that I could go elsewhere but this apparently is not possible. £10,000 GONE!! SUBSTANDARD workmanship. Their own quality control guy said the kitchen was up to the standard that Wickes require. However when I pushed the issue the Customer Service Team sent out another fitter to look at the kitchen and he accepted all the faults that I had reported AND found more that I hadn't yet seen. APPALLING service.... PLEASE DON'T BUY A WICKES KITCHEN. You will be better taking your business elsewhere. The salesman was a truly nice guy and told us of his awards for kitchen fitting. The finished kitchen does not however meet our requirements. The fitter was nothing better than useless and we later refused to have him back because the standard of his work was so poor. PLUS - he overcharged hugely on top of the already high fitting cost paid to Wickes. The work took 6 months to resolve - many hours on the phone and so many emails back and forth. PLEASE DON'T GO TO WICKES *** If this post saves 1 person the heartache that I have experienced then it will be worthwhile. The new fitter who came to resolve the work was great and he put stickers over the damaged areas inside the units which were fine at the time, but now... these stickers are increasingly obvious as they don't fair well with being cleaned. He also had to take a part of the unit apart to make it fit properly but now this has resulted in the new cushion floor I had fitted bubbling up because it had been laid already. Please, please, please - DON'T !!!

We bought what we thought was a great kitchen but turned into a nightmare when the kitchen supplied by wickes started to swell on the door fronts after many complaints they refused to help saying it was moisture ingress and the manufacturer said it was the case no one ever came to inspect it they just looked at pictures we are angry it cost us £8000 so beware when buying

I left Wickes Preston this week feeling extremely deflated. ‘Terry’ had no time for me and zero patience. If an inexperienced customer asks a question, surely they shouldn’t be patronised and expected to be at the staffs standard of knowledge. Helpful in the end but too many shoulder chips. If it’s a primary school you wish to work in with infants and dictate to them then crack on with the job change but don’t practice on adult customers when working at wickes.

Found some really nice tiles very reasonably priced, delivered bang on time great, tiler came and started to lay the tiles and he stopped and showed me the tiles were warped and unusable. 10 boxes purchased 8 of the boxes from the same batch were all warped. The other 2 boxes were ok, contacted wickes the guy looked at the stock and found ALL the tiles from that batch number were warped. Asked for replacement no date given, during this time the tiler is waiting, found out that some tiles were at a store 20 miles away and I could go and pick them up that day. I rang the store the manager did not know about it and finally found that he didnt have 10 packs of the same batch number they were all mixed. At this stage I had had enough of wickes and told the store to come and pick the items up to allow me to get my money back. I am annoyed that more effort (or any effort) was not made to find the tiles of the same batch, and why on earth were 2 different batch numbers dated over 12 months apart sent to me THEY HAVE TO MATCH. The tiler has lost a days work and is having to shuffle his work around and I have ordered the tiles from elsewhere at a greater cost but time is going by. I dont think this is a professional way to go about things and once again I am having to write a poor review and am out of pocket. In the past Wickes has always been my first choice I will have second thoughts now. The guy said he would pick them up in the morning I hope so as they are in my hall.

Why can you never speak to a Manager at Wickes ?Had a Bathroom fitted last year and the mosaic tiling was dreadful, was told to keep wiping it, it will clear up, Sent photos into customer services and after many emails and phone calls the tiling was done again only to be finished off even worse, Trying to get customer services to sort it out but it’s not happening they just want you to go away. We all pay a lot for our Kitchens and Bathrooms and receive such dreadful after sales service, Hopefully a program like Watchdog will pick up on this soon after all our complaints because they are getting away with it.

Ordered the full 100% oak soild wood kitchen. Arrived on date promised. But installer beside agreed to date will come after a week only. Wickes could not help. Some doors are received damaged had hard time convince customer service that was not our fault. They supplied the replacement doors three weeks after installation finished. After that they can not arrange to get installer to fix the replacement till now since six months passed. Various calls to customer service does not help as they say to contact installer who wants additional £400 for replacement. On the other hand after six months the oak wood is changing colour easy to stain and certainly not the oak. The doors are getting out of alignment and 10 year of workman warranty is just a slagon and does not exists. Avoid at a cost as only they are good at is sales

My daughter had a new kitchen fitted from Wickes. Never in my life have I known an any firm give such an appalling service. Right from the start the salesman made mistake after mistake, and with a catalogue of errors too numerous to list here, from then on a job that should have taken two days to complete took over two weeks. Wickes of course just shut their eyes to any complaints. Nothing on this earth would ever persuade me to visit a Wickes store ever again

We had a 4th kitchen fitted by wickes and what a horrible experience the 4th was. Poor fitting, had the worktops replaced, fridge and freezer damaged so bad they were replaced after 2 weeks. We had 6 months interest free credit which was frozen due to all the issues but it turned out it hadn't been frozen and cost us 1.7k interest! We have now a poorly fitted kitchen with 30% has been replaced and is still not fit for purpose. The current issue is that the doors are showing white runs in them! We will replace the kitchen next year and it won't be a 5th kitchen from wickes nil star

Very unhelpful. Not used to DIY myself and when I asked if someone could help me with regards to information about Drills, I was told we don't know, but we could google it. Seriously, I could do that myself, whats the point in working for a DIY company when you know nothing about your products. Totally ridiculous, would not recommend this company
