Sent from my iPhone On 19 Apr 2017, at 14:37, Sarah Cocker wrote: In January I reserved a washing machine in store. I purchased the machine, given a receipt, and helped to the car by staff. A mistake made internally by the store meant that payment was not taken from the debit card. I was phoned by the store the next day and accused of 'stealing' a washing machine!!!! I explained I had a receipt and they asked my husband to check his bank to see if payment had been taken. I explained that my husband, being a HGV driver, was working away but I would ask him to look into it when he could. They continually called my mobile for the next 2 days still with accusations of 'theft' and saying that if I did not pay the member of staff would be sacked due to the mistake!! I asked them to stop hassling me - the only way they had my details was because I had reserved the item. The next week, the police called me about the 'stolen' goods. Once explained, they could not believe the store had taken this route. I said the way they had handled it was disgusting and said they could collect the machine and I would purchase an alternative one from a more reputable store. The police officer agreed that this was reasonable and said the store Manager Maria would be in touch within 14 days and if not, the case would be closed. I did not hear anything else until yesterday when a solicitors letter appeared about the 'goods stolen'. I have spoken to (in my opinion,) an extremely rude, unprofessional, unsympathetic, aggressive woman (Gillian Galpin) who has told me that tough - the payment must be made and I should not have 'believed' the police officer as he has no duristriction!!!! She also patronised me and talked over me continuously. When I asked her to be symapthetic to the way this was handled and my annoyance with the word 'theft' - she told me that she could not apply any personal feelings - when actually this is exactly what is called for!!! When asked for a copy of my conversation with her - surprisingly calls are not recorded in the Directors Office! I have emailed requesting an alternative colleague to take over the case (I put in nicely saying a personality clash rather than the my opinion of her customer service skills being zero) and am still waiting for a reply. Absolutely APPALLING way of handling things. YES - I have the goods but after being accused of theft on several occasions, being given advice from the police that Argos say I should not have believed (!) and being bullied by this company - obviously I am extremely unhappy. I would love a human with feelings, understanding and empathy to be able to handle a complaint and come to a resolution for both parties taking into consideration stress, trauma and the ridiculous allegations considering I have a proof of purchase and the error was made by a member of staff.

I ordered 2 white goods, i tried to cancel one of the items off the order, i was advised this would be sent over to the cancellations team and i would get a call the following day this never happened. I rang the day after to see if this had been cancelled to be told that they were waiting for correspondence from the supplier. I rang the following day to see if been cancelled to be told the last two operators hadn't cancelled.my order and i would be passed to the cancellations team now to do this. All in all 3 phone calls 3 different days and over a week to sort a issue out never again.

Ordered a oven and a hob broke with weeks , waited a month to get repaired so didn't bother and got a replacement oven and Argos couldn't deliver when they said they would then they delivered one didn't take the old one so we will never shop on line or in the shop itself ever again and I already read how bad reviews Argos is getting

Waited in all day on my one day off in months - Bank Holiday - didn't even go in the garden in case I missed delivery and get a text at 15:23 saying can't be delivered - why offer a same day service if you can't deliver, total joke! That's a day of my life I will never get back. Sad, sad service!

I have used Argos a lot in the past, and it has always been great. Very good customer service. BUT NO LONGER. My recent experience has been bruising. The new owners are a SNEAKY BUNCH. Comet were like that, and they went bankrupt. Customers are not as stupid as some of these retailers seem to think. I wait with interest to see how long this business lasts.

I was interested in buying new mobile phone. I would like to keep my old number because of my old contacts so I wanted to buy free SIMLOCK CARD phone. After choosing the model of phone, I went to till where I was serving by the manager of this store. This lady said that my card will be fit to this type of phone and I will find the help with the setting up this phone after buying. Of course it was different. I was served with the unpleasant method although using very polite form of question (Would you mind checking ...). I've got of course the card PAY AS YOU GO for which I needed to pay and which wasn't fit for the phone. When I returned to this store, the service said that the box is used because of opening (I need to check every item and I have 28 days for the refunding). The staff abused the role because they refused returning of changing this model. What can I do now? Actually saying if you do nothing, you will lost customers. Maybe you do not need the great experience with Sales?

Ordered my fridge on the 6th, to be delivered on the 10th. On the day they cancelled delivery and postponed to the 19th, due to "unforeseen circumstances". I cancelled as I could not wait 9 days without a fridge, now waiting 10 days for the refund. Result: no fridge, no money. Appalling, never again.

I ordered 10 Habitat frames and were delivered by the dreaded Yodel, two were smashed. I then ordered another two on a separate ordered and after a week of waiting for them to be delivered, with no text or call to say what was happening, I just cancelled and got a refund. I was told it would arrive on Monday, never came. Rang Argos Tuesday, they re-scheduled and said it would arrive on Wednesday (the next day), never arrived. Thursday I rang to get my refund. First time I have used Argos and never again, and the fact that they use Yodel as their couriers says it all. Two dreadful companies best to avoid. Now I just order direct from Habitat.

I ordered a small double bed from Argos that would be delivered to Ashford, Kent. Upon check out they charged me a delivery fee and it stated the bed would be delivered next day 15/03/17, great. Later the next day I received a SMS message that stated my bed would be delivered on the 19/04/17! - I would not have ordered the bed if I knew I would have to wait a whole month for it to be delivered. Very misleading (a lie) and inaccurate, yet they still charge you for it! Ridiculous, I will not be using Argos services again; Amazon for me.

If there was a zero star I would be awarding that. I placed an order in December2016 with a 44 day wait. When the delivery day approached I received an email to say another 4 week delay. It is now March 14th the day delivery was to arrived. No email no text to confirm delivery. Contacted argos to be told sorry we have missed the shopping so it will be Wednesday 15th. Absolutely do. If i had not have contacted them today they would not have even bothered. Shambles. 3 month wait is absolutely ridiculous. Don't sell items if you haven't got them in stock.

Caught Misselling! I purchased a tablet from the Leicester Belgrave gate outlet recently. I was looking for a fairly light model for my mum. Tablet weight is a major potential selling point. I purchased a 'low weight' model and took it home. I was suspicious when I took it out of the box as it seemed heavier than expected. I put it on the scales and looked on the manufacturers website and it was actually over 200g heavier.. I took it back to the store the next day just assuming (I understand that these thing happen basically and it how issues are put right/rectified that counts) that I would be refunded and compensated for my travel expenses for two round trips to the store (in law a retailer is directly responsible for the items they sell/how they are described etc) as this would be deemed as 'my losses as a direct result of Argos' unlawful act' i.e. misselling. My first point of contact was an indifferent and dim-witted so called 'customer service advisor' (a term used loosely..) with an attitude. Eventually I got to speak to a 'manager' who lacked any form of empathy, communication skills or even a basic understanding of the law. The 'manager' eventually refunded money for the product but no compensation as apparently he didn't like the way I was taking to him. Of course from my POV I had already been missold, inconvenienced, suffered financial loss and was now putting up with this so called 'manager' attitude so it is unlikely that I would be entirely amiable.. Given my experience and their attitude to customers it isn't unreasonable to think that Argos are also misselling other products

Attempted to order two products (in stock at my local store) on the website, opting to pay by PayPal, after providing my PayPal details Argos website said please wait with an animated blue circle. Waited 10 minutes and nothing. PayPal emailed to say "Your funds will be transferred when the merchant processes your payment. Any money in your PayPal account at that time will be used before any other payment source." I phoned Argos customer service who were useless and said nothing they could do and asked if I wanted to pay over the phone which I do not like doing for my security. I tried to process the order again which was still in the basket, again after selecting PayPal and entered my details the website stalled. Presuming it was a PayPal issue I went through the standard card payment option, but that also had the same failure. I took the printed PayPal email which had the items numbers listed to the store to buy manual instore, e cashier said that one of the item was out of stock, I told her that perhaps it was reserved by my order attempt buy she could see that there were no stock within the store and hadn't ben for a while. (perhaps this is why the website kept stalling - it had two stock readings, the first inaccurate reporting in stock for placing and order, the second accurate not accepting the order?) I paid on my card for the single item that was in stock and left the store three days later my card is declined for a transactions I knew I had funds for, checking with the bank they had issued authorisation (reserved the money) for both the PayPal transactions and the standard Argos online transaction. They could not release the money back for me to use as Argos could demand it when they wanted s they had issued authorisation numbers. I phoned Argos who were very unhelpful and ended up transferring me to PayPal who gave the same response as the bank refusing to cancel the transactions incase Argos wanted the money. I started a Chat with Argos and the first member of Staff was completely clueless demanding a card number for the PayPal transactions where no card details are shared with retails - I explained that is the whole point of PayPal that the card details are kept securely and just instructions are sent to the retailer that payment had been deposited in the account, I even explained that if someone had bought something from on eBay I would have PayPal balance that I can then use for payment or pay directly from my bank account but "Natasha" was having none of it. I demanded to speak to a manager who accepted that a PayPal transaction didn't include any card details, he took the PayPal transactions IDs but claimed Argos wouldn't do anything with them for three days minimum. I asked how I should buy food for my baby in the meantime, but he claimed Argos did not have any responsibility to the fact that they had reserved all available funds from my bank. I will never ever buy from Argos again, the website even today shows the two items still claimed instock as my basket never "checked out". I believe an Argos programing flaw caused the problem, and Argos were in no hurry to resolve the issue even when explained that it had serious implications.

Order mid-sleeper bed, first it should be delivered on 3rd of march but they changed it to 9th of March which is fine as these things happen . But when it came i asked driver to put in the room but he refused straight away without looking to room and leave it in doorway which is against the health and safety . Its heavy and not possible for one person to move (as it clearly state 2 person handling).I have autistic kid in home and moving around is already a issue . Now some one from Argos ring me a try to refund delivery charges ( hang on minute i am not here to wave off the delivery charges). Argos should more careful about health of safety with their deliveries to customers rather then about their driver only.I just wondering what they do to old and disable people. I don,t think i would buy anything of Argos again. I know the fact it would be big deal for Argos. But hope management should consider some policies in their next meeting about this. But Very poor

I am furious. I received an email from Argos saying my order would be delivered by their "trusty courier" today "between 7.30am - 9.00pm." Having stayed in all day with no sign of the delivery I called them up, only to be informed that my parcel would not be delivered today after all, as Yodel (the outsourced delivery company) had failed to collect my parcel. So now the saga continues tomorrow. Seriously advise others to use Ikea, where they actually give you a 4 hr time slot (which they actually stick to) instead.

My item delivery was delayed and because it was part of a package I got no tracking number and since there is no letter box in my address I can't track the item. I have received 0 help from the Argos team and in one case they made it sound like it's my problem. Absolutely horrible service and they have still haven't resolved my issue.

Reciet's don't mean shut! ! I bought a laptop for £400 pound that didn't work and would not accept my email address and ran so slow even when not online. Only the next day we took it back to be roodly be told to take our goods and there is nothing they will do. No refund no exchange no nothing just a rood manager. When we refused to leave the shop without some sort of repayment they called the police saying we were intimidating all the staff and the other shopper. We had our children with us at the time and they were still really rood and aggressive with there words towards us in front of them. We just like most people work extremely hard for our money and all we wanted was to get a full refund or even exchange the laptop. Argos is a joke and we will never spend a penny there again and we will make sure everyone knows what a absolute scam that they are running. Don't buy electrical in that note dont buy anytjing from these companies as when they break down even within your cover dates they will send you on your way without even so much as a penny of your money back. All they are doing is lining there pockets with our money as long as there making money nothing else matters what a discrase!!!
